Baha Men - "Who Let The Dogs Out?" comes to mind. But maybe I am judging it extra harshly since it won a Grammy... I mean, if you think of it in a purely objective matter, it's a decently produced song with decent vocal performances, not to mention the lyrics are actually criticizing (and even bashing) the men who catcall women. For that reason I feel particularly inclined to defend this song. In my opinion, for something to make 'worst song ever' material, it has to be more than just annoying or repetitive, but devoid of any redeeming qualities whatsoever. For example (and here's another addition of mine to this list - one of the most excruciatingly frustrating listens I've ever had): |

That was really, really bad. It sounds like there was nothing done to correct or fix the vocals. Even a little Melodyne could have salvaged it from being this bad. It would still be bad, but not that bad. It looks like they spent a lot of money on all those nice outfits and shoes. |

I only found out about this one after one of my college friends was posting on Facebook about how fucked up this one was. I found it ridiculous and outrageous. The song may have been better coming from an adult but given that she was 12, this was totally inappropriate.

I've had a firm answer on this for a very long time. There is so much to unpack here. I started listening to it and I though to myself, "Okay, this is going to be some generic EDM song with a karaoke-ish sounding backing track". So far, ok. Then the retching sounds started.  Then it continued every so often randomly. During the chorus. Somewhat disturbed.  Then the "LIAAAAAAAARRR" bridge happened.  The lyrics, the delivery of the lyrics, the production, the video, the clothing, the dancing, the acting, etc. everything is just beyond horrific. This and that Gnesa song are like bottom of the barrel bad. If a dumpster fire could make music, it would sound like this.  No one can ever say one of the Pop girls or Post Malone makes garbage music. And if they do, we need to make sure they know about this. |

Which means that someone who picked up the greatest hits album trying to get into Eminem would've heard a song about Marshall shoving a Gerbil up his own butt before any other song. |
