In a perfect world After Hours hits #1 on the billboard 200 then Blinding Lights rises to #1 that same chart week. Shame. It’s probably happening here, but this world isn’t perfect

The Weeknd could potentially reach 400 million, but yeah, although I would love for it to be the case, 500 million won't happen. However, all the songs on the album can potentially reach the top 40/50 on the Hot 100 given how weak the charts are at the moment.

Track count doesn't really matter, long albums have their streams spread out and shorter albums have their streams consolidated.

It does matter, especially in your first listen. It's not a huge difference (like a 20-track album is not going to be streamed two times more than a 10-track album), but it helps. If DAMN. had 20 tracks (not 14) it probably would've been streamed 10-15% more times that week.

The Weeknd should be the last major album bomb for a while, letting the charts stabilize. I know there are a LOT of Dua stans on this board, but I just don't think she can pull off a big bomb with Future Nostalgia.

It seems like every week someone mentions they are weak, but it can’t always be the case. Maybe there’s just a lot of music being consumed these days and it’s just how the charts are now.

Possibly a conversation that has already been had but will radio stations still be a thing during stay-at-home orders? I know stations can do shows from their home but if they are being told to stay at home and only essential jobs can take place I am not sure. I guess it depends on if radio and giving out info is an essential job and how many can do shows from their home? If some shut down I guess some songs will lose spins right?

It's an interesting question because last week the Hot 100 was strong and this week it's extremely weak with songs like Adore You, Someone You Loved and everything i wanted probably going top 10 with ~20k points. In general, I'd say the charts will be weak for quite a while until streaming is back to ~60% of the points.

Radio stations can still have playlists automatically set and playing to my knowledge. This is what they would do when they raadio programmers would be away during Christmas holidays.

The promotion for blinding lights has been set up almost perfectly. Currently #4 on the charts, maybe go up a position at #3 next week and then for the album bomb week it gets to number 1 and probably holds it for a bit. Hopefully it makes the decade list and all time list as i’ve always wanted abel to get at least one song in the GOAT list
I’m so hyped to hear the album

I wonder if PUBLIC’s “Make You Mine” will make it to 20 weeks on the pop songs chart despite peaking at 29, it’s already at 16 weeks and the Coronafreeze may help it last

Weeknd probably won't have 500M streams, he has less songs. It's possible that some tracks from the album could get more streams than the biggest songs from EA however

HDD's streaming chart is out, but I think it's inaccurate, nearly every single non-debut decreased in streams. hitsdailydouble.com/streaming_songsOr maybe the coronavirus really did hit streams that hard?

Yikes! "The Box" taking a blunt hit in streams on that chart - definitely not as hard as "Life Is Good".

On U.S. Spotify, every song that I'm tracking is losing 6-15% this week, except new songs like Uzi's tracks and Stupid Love that are losing 30%+.

The Box has about 14 million more streams than DSN, but DSN has around 43 million more AI. I don't understand how predictions are putting The Box with nearly a 100 point lead.

I would understand that big lead if The Box had 26 million more streams, but I really doubt that much of a lead.

By the way, keep an eye out for this song. This is going viral for being a story-telling trap song and if it eventually reaches the charts, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a decent hit.
