59 49 Jordan Davis Slow Dance In A Parking Lot 49 12 This could've been Slow Dancing In the Dark, but America have no taste. And 88rising is physically incapable of properly promoting anything from Joji.

Kenny Rogers Has the Top Two Best-Selling Songs of the Week 3/30/2020 by Gary Trust , Jim Asker
The two top-selling songs of the week belong to late legend Kenny Rogers, as "The Gambler" soars in at No. 1 on Billboard's all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, followed by "Islands in the Stream," with Dolly Parton, new at No. 2.
The classics, released in 1978 and 1983, respectively, surge as fans celebrated Rogers' music following his death on March 20 at age 81.
"Gambler" vaulted by 5,543% to 21,000 downloads sold in the week ending March 26, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The Don Schlitz-penned standard becomes Rogers' first No. 1 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, as well as the oldest song ever to lead the list, which began in 2004. It passes Prince and the Revolution's 1984 opus "Purple Rain," which led in May 2016, following Prince's death.
Meanwhile, "Islands," written by the Bee Gees, increased by 4,723% to 15,000 sold.
Rogers accounts for nearly a quarter of all the titles on Digital Song Sales, as 12 entries from his catalog debut. (Before this week, he had never previously appeared on the chart.) Only three acts have ever boasted greater weekly shares of the survey's top 50 spots: Prince (as many as 21 songs), BTS (18) and Michael Jackson (17).
Kenny Rogers on Digital Song Sales Chart No. 1, "The Gambler" (21,000, up 5,543%) No. 2, "Islands in the Stream," with Dolly Parton (15,000, up 4,723%) No. 7, "Lady" (10,000, up 6,215%) No. 9, "Through the Years" (9,000, up 5,282%) No. 13, "We've Got Tonight," with Sheena Easton (7,000, up 7,230%) No. 20, "Coward of the County" (6,000, up 4,517%) No. 24, "She Believes in Me" (5,000, up 7,578%) No. 26, "Lucille" (5,000, up 6,847%) No. 28, "You Can't Make Old Friends," with Parton (5,000, up 24,021%) No. 37, "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," with The First Edition (4,000, up 6,836%) No. 40, "You Decorated My Life" (4,000, up 8,816%) No. 50, "Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer," with Kim Carnes (3,000, up 7,077%)
"Gambler" and "Islands" also re-enter the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Country Songs chart, which they topped for three weeks in 1978 and two weeks in 1983, respectively.
"Gambler" returns to the tally at No. 14, having drawn 5.2 million U.S. streams (up 462%) and 1 million in airplay audience in the tracking week. "Islands" re-enters at No. 20, with 3.1 million streams (up 378%) and 1.1 million in radio reach.
As previously reported, Rogers additionally claims the No. 1 title on the Top Country Albums chart, as his 2018 set The Best of Kenny Rogers: Through the Years (which includes "Gambler") debuts at the summit, marking his first leader on the list since 1986.

This is the first time that the Sales #1 is not on the Hot 100, correct?

Shame, "The Gambler" is #15 on Recurrent, not anywhere near enough to chart.

Shame, "The Gambler" is #15 on Recurrent, not anywhere near enough to chart. That’s strange... “The Gambler” is #14 on Hot Country Songs which is more than enough to chart (in fact, there are 5 songs below it on HCS that are charting on the Hot 100).

If Blinding Lights hit #1 on Radio, it will be the first song to peak at #1 on every metric since...7 rings? right?

What an amazing top ten! I love every song except Intentions.
Also so happy Heartless rebounded to the top ten so it's not the only #1 single with a single week in the top ten, such an ugly record for an amazing song.

Kenny Rogers Has the Top Two Best-Selling Songs of the WeekHad Kenny Rogers not passed away when he did, Blinding Lights would have been #1 again with a new record low for digital song sales.

I'll say this: even though I only like half of the songs in the Top 10, this is the first Top 10 that feels like it's appropriately 2020. There are no ballads from last year taking up spaced and if you could just replace Circles with everything i wanted, I could confidently say: all of these songs are hits from 2020.

Sucker was the last song to do it Circles never did it? Strange Circles almost did it but was somehow blocked by the juggernaut Lil Tecca on the streaming charts during Post's album release week

My man Posty with 30 weeks in the Top 10, dude is like a grandpa in the Top 10 right now. Has only left the top 10 for 5 weeks since Rockstar came out, and only 1 week since Wow.

Really surprised and even low-key disgusted that some of you, as well as much of the general public, still have a problem with Dr. Luke and fell for that charade. I am a firm supporter of the #MeToo movement, however NOT in Kesha's case, and it's people like her that fabricate unfounded allegations that are even destructive to and undermine the movement. She is the only one who accused him of sexual assault, there was no evidence, and a court of law cleared him of the allegations, and she would have reason to make the story up (to settle a personal vendetta, her career was faltering, she wasn't happy with her contract, etc). Yes, he might be a mean, nasty person who is terrible to work with, as several other pop stars have testified, and that alone might be reason not to assign him to the most prestigious projects, however none of these pop stars have corroborated the sexual harassment claim, and "mean and nasty" is definitely not as bad as "sexual predator."
On another topic, Circles has now spent about the same amount of time (if not a little more maybe?) as Someone You Loved in the top 10, yet I am really surprised that Circles has received virtually no hate for being there that long, or calls for it to "GTFO" of the region, etc., while SYL, at least from about 50% of posters, has received some of the most vitriolic and hateful comments for languishing in the region for so long, and even now that it has left some people are still at it, like "oh, but what if it returns to the top 10, that would be the worst thing in chart history!" This is especially surprising because I clearly remember at least some people didn't like Circles when it first came out, saying things like "oh, how can this bland, pop/rock song that is from someone who claims to be a hip-hop artist but who is really just a bland pop artist be doing so well..." It's just interesting that for two songs that weren't received spectacularly from the beginning, Circles hasn't received the same type of "fed-upness" that SYL has, in fact it seems that most people are liking Circles more and more and want it to stay in the top 10 more and more the longer it actually has, while the opposite has been the case for SYL.
One more thing and on a lighter note, I really am happy that Blinding Lights made it to #1. It really is nice to see a song get there that is pretty universally liked by most of us here, and it is doing well on all metrics, so it seems to be pretty uncontroversial all-around :). And for me, It's especially pleasant to see when it follows a 10+ week #1 song you didn't like.

Uzi will have a platinum album though so there's that but, I repeat myself, there is a HUGE discrepancy between his Hot 100 success and amount of chart entries.

I just came here to say that this week’s top 10 is one of the better ones we’ve had in a long time with Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Harry Styles, and Doja Cat. The 80’s are making a comeback!!
