“The Gambler” is #12 on Country Apple Music right now and I’m pretty impressed tbh. Imagine Kenny Rogers on the chart again.

Blinding Lights has dropped 5 positions on Apple Music to #6. Heartless has dropped 3 positions to #8 and After Hours has dropped 3 positions to #11. We'll see if the same thing reflects in tomorrow's Spotify updates.

I'll be honest, I don't even know Kenny's "The Gambler" and apparently it's his signature song? What? Gonna have to check it out.

I'd love to see some of Kenny Rogers chart. Seems only after they die, you can get people like him to chart. And it doesn't even happen then sometimes.

“The Gambler” is one of those songs that everyone no matter where you’re from just knows. Even if they can’t remember a single detail of the verses that chorus is as iconic as they come

This is a music forum but since someone mentioned it. This is the difference: Swine flu Mortality rate was ~0.02% WW COVID-19 mortality rate is 4% WW. In Italy it is 8.5% from confirmed cases/deaths right now, the numbers will vary. That number will probably shrink, as most people aren’t getting symptoms, especially the younger than 20 crowd. And hence not getting tested, at least right now. I can speak for myself, I have been in close contact with now 3 people confirmed to have it. I have been quarantined for more than a week with no sight of any symptom. I can take the test now since there are more available here than before, but many countries haven't gotten to this phase yet. On another note to make this somewhat music-related, could Heartless and In Your Eyes sneak in the TOP10?

It appears to be his 19th highest single on the H100, including 3 higher Kenny Rogers & The First Edition singles.

Even with lower numbers due to corona After Hours still had the 9th biggest global Spotify debut. That's nothing to scoff at.

We'll see if the same thing reflects in tomorrow's Spotify updates. Apple is more hype-based. I highly doubt we’ll get Kenny occupying any of the Weeknd’s spots on Spotify

With people consuming and spending less during this time period, The Weeknd is doing great. It’s also no easy feat to get 2 songs from the same album to go #1 on the Hot 100.

I disagree w Apple being more "hype-based". For urban acts at least, they tend to have more longevity (I.e as of recent, look at Uzi and Lil Baby on AM). Though I guess The Weeknd'll have more longevity on Spotify than Baby and Uzi, but I still think he'll have the "most" on AM.

The rest of the streaming charts are also weak, so he can have a good album bomb. The problem though is that even streaming is down across the board, songs still have their normal radio. Which I think will hurt his bomb since its like radio is being weighted more

I can definitely see Kenny Rogers landing a good amount of re-entries on the Hot 100 - he has the base that will give him the sales he needs.

With maybe a slight boost to "After Hours" (from its rhytmic airplay) and "In Your Eyes" (cause of its release as a single).

Which I think will hurt his bomb since its like radio is being weighted more How radio is still strong during the corona? Radio is still decent, but it's definitely showing effects already. Spins aren't as strong as before and 90% of the chart except the top 5 is rather stagnant in gains.

Which I think will hurt his bomb since its like radio is being weighted more How radio is still strong during the corona? Because radio numbers are all estimates. So unless they do a recalibration, the #s won't really reflect people not listening to radio less
