You are naive if you think it was accidental. I'm 100% sure that Dua's team gave her that photo to share to create hype. After Madonna shared, the hype and excitement increased with the inclusion of Mark and Gwen. A clever strategy. It was accidental because Dua was supposed to announce it first, not Madonna, so it's basically what kimberly said earlier. Just to be clear, I'm not denying that Dua's team didn't give that picture to Madonna because they surely did that, as well as sending the same picture to the rest of people involved, so all of them could share that as well. Also, a week ago, the same happened when Dua's team sent the promotional picture of the collaboration to Madonna, Missy Elliot and The Blessed Madonna and the former was the only one who didn't say anything on her social media, hence the reason why I wrote that she acknowledged the remix a week later, being this a tongue-in-cheek expression. Obviously, I'm not saying that Madonna needed to do that because it depends on every artist if they want to or not. However, my point is that Madonna could have created hype as you said, but she also made some people to be confused because of the inclusion of Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson in that picture. Even, there were some people who mentioned that she took a fan picture to share the news of the collaboration, so I don't think that was a clever strategy as you mentioned. I swear I read Dua say "cover shot by Hugo Comte" somewhere but I can't seem to find it. So it might have been IG stories or me hallucinating lmao I think I read that too somewhere... It looks like a fraction of a bigger poster. There's a leg popping into the frame near Missy. It'd be cool if there was a longer version with all the guests and Dua is in the middle looking like the pop goddess that she is <3. Both Dua and Hugo Comte shared that on Instagram stories and there was a caption that said that it's a cardboard, so the full photo hasn't been revealed yet. |

It created several hours of buzz before Dua confirmed details most were starting to surmise...and there still seem to be a few unsolved easter eggs. As a side note, the press release says that the track will be out this Thursday, so I assume it will follow the same release strategy as the WW premieres of "Don't Start Now", "Physical" and "Break My Heart", which were at 4pm. PST / 7pm. EST / 11pm. GMT.

We don't know for sure. Dua recorded something while in lockdown with Anwar that's rumoured to be a video, and once "Hallucinate" dropped with no live action footage, "Levitating" became the next best guess.

Dua recorded something while in lockdown with Anwar She recorded something in the middle of June in a studio, and then at the end of the month to the first days of July she shot something on a field as far as I'm aware. |

Well there is "the field" that everyone discussed. But why Thursday, ugh. better to stand out from the crowd, tbh. It's going to be evening in the UK so she'll only lose 7 hours of tracking there, and a day doesn't matter for a Dua Lipa chart run in the US as far as we've seen. |

Although this is true, there was a music video shoot in London, which was already mentioned in a couple of posts above and it was implied (and confirmed) that it was for "Levitating". It's been said that it was a five-day shoot, but I don't know why it was so many days, although it could be because there was limited assistance? Either way, Missy Elliot will be appearing on it, but Madonna isn't. Regarding the song, it's been said that The Blessed Madonna remix isn't going to be properly pushed to radio, but there's a chance that the album version will be, so let's see what happens in the next days. |
