Summer Jam" is a song by German dance music group The Underdog Project. It was released on November 14, 2000. It is the first single from their album "It Doesn't Matter". The song was considered a big hit in Europe, as it stayed at number three on the German pop charts and was number one on both charts in Belgium, and number one in the Netherlands. After that, the single aired on some of the most popular radio stations in the US like WPOW in Miami and New York City's WKTU.

This is a fun Freestyle/Miami R&B style song. The production sounds so similar to the one heard in Sammie's " I Like It" and Jordan Knight's " Give It To You" with that Anita Ward loop. I didn't hear this until 2008 when Underdog Project member and vocalist Craig Smart (he has done vocals for a lot of projects but was not formally credited a la Sandra Chambers and Giovanna Bersola) asked me to review his single at the time "Candy On The Dancefloor" (under the name Natural Born Grooves). I asked him what other songs he had done that I may know and he mentioned this. I had seen the CD single on the shelves in the store as it did get a U.S. release via the Radikal label. In 2003, there was a new version which was a mashup with a pitched down "Fiesta" by Sunclub which was a club hit in 1997. I wanted to like it, but it just didn't sound right to my ears.

LOL just realized Craig Smart did this cool song called "One Life Stand" with Longo & Wainwright that I liked very much about 10 years ago. Was checking out the Dance ID's thread here as a trip down memory lane and finally put two & two together.
It sounds like "One Night Stand" but it's "One Life Stand".
