Interesting production choices on this. Not sure I hear an obvious "follow-up hit". And we though Kelsea's album was pop - Ingrid basically said hold my beer.
Maybe We're Not Friends? Maybe The Stranger? Idk. Anything But Love probably has the most country sounding elements, so maybe that?
I'm worried after hearing this that Ingrid is bound to be a one-hit wonder.

I think follow-up single should be "Both" or "Life Of The Party" both are the mid to up tempo that should do well on country radio as both are a good balance of pop and country.
As a whole this album is fine, the debut single is terrific and all of the pre-release tracks are very solid, but none of the new tracks I particularly care for.
Also in comparing both albums Kelsea Ballerini has far more pop influence and sound on her album, but that's neither here nor there

I'm surprised this album is so short, especially considering we've already heard 5 of the 8 songs. I love "Bad Advice" but contend that "Both" is the best option for the next single. "Lady Like" seems to have quite a bit of hype behind it, so I could see them going with that.
This album is absolutely solid. I think she has the best shot at winning New Female Artist at the ACMs (whenever that will be); "More Hearts Than Mine" is Grammy-worthy.

I really like Bad Advice, but that's the only song that is new, she released everything else before the album drop. Also, I know she has other unreleased songs that are more country leaning so why not include those on this so very short album? I wonder if they think More Hearts Than Mine is the only hit and we are going to get a half arsed attempt to push another song for a while while they work on the follow up?
Anyway at least she got the album out, so I guess that is a positive, even if it's so short.

Listened to this album a couple times through now and I'm still irked that they had all this time and couldn't have *at least* tacked two more songs onto this to round it out and make it feel more complete, but it's still an exceptionally strong set of songs as is. Not a bad song in this bunch. The biggest standout to me is "The Stranger." What a hauntingly beautiful song. Really not sure what they should go with as the next single, because aside from "Bad Advice," I could see any of these songs potentially doing well... but I could also see her struggling to have another hit as big as the lead single for obvious reasons. Gorgeous. I know this doesn't mean it'll be the next single, but I came in here thinking "The Stranger" is by far the best thing on this album and would be a great single choice imo, so I'd love if this was an early indicator it might be chosen.

Is this considered an album or an EP? I'm guessing an album since EP's usually have 6 songs at most.

Oh and I take back all 3 of the new singles being underwhelming because "The Stranger" is fantastic from a melodic standpoint and especially songwriting point of view

Pretty sure I love every song here, especially The Stranger, MHTM and Anything But Love.

This is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Every song is at least a 9/10 for me. Then again, it’s a supeeer short album lol.
