This is so sad. His diagnosis was only announced 2 days ago!! Also, 61 is such a scary number, because imo that is not very old at all, and you would think that he would still be young enough to survive this. George, Reba, Vince, are all older than this... Alan Jackson IS 61. Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Tracy Lawrence, Trisha Yearwood, etc. are all just a few years away. For someone of the '90s generation of superstars to die so suddenly is a MAJOR shock. Save that s**t for 20-30 years from now, please

Listening to iHeart radio’s 90’s country station because this is the country I grew up on. Mr. Diffie’s Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die) starts playing and man I sure got a lump in my throat. I’ve never met Joe in person ever and sadly since he’s gone now never will. As I tried to sing along the tears started flowing. How can it be that the artists I grew up with are leaving. We’ve lost numerous 90’s stars Kevin Sharp, Mindy McCready, Lari White and Daryle Singletary to name a few off the top of my head. None have tugged at my heart more than Joe Diffie though. I know Kenny Rogers passed this year as well as Charlie Daniels. RIP to both of them icons as well. My final words are Joe Diffie you left a lasting impression in my musical taste and there will never be another on like you. Some of my all time favorite Joe tunes include Home, So Help Me Girl, Ships That Don’t Come In, John Deere Green and the late 90’s hit A Night To Remember. RIP Joe Diffie . Gone but never forgotten in my heart!
