He dropped a new song and wow this might be the first thing that's fully clicked with me from him yet. His voice sounds fantastic on this and it's such a jam. I hope this is the follow-up single once this peaks!

This one has been one of my jams for the past several months! Hope it can reach the top of the Airplay chart.
I have a feeling Parker could become a huge star in the next couple years.

"Young Man's Blues" is an absolutely phenomenal song! Wow, I'm simply blown away by hit. I haven't liked his output thus far but with more material like YMB I'll definitely be a fan of his!

Glad to see "Pretty Heart" doing so well at radio!! Hoping it continues a nice steady climb up the charts. As for "Young Man's Blues," I'm just now getting around to hearing it and that has breakout hit written all over it. If all the stars align and this follows "Pretty Heart," I can see it easily becoming his first #1 (that is if PH doesn't get there first). These two songs and "Like A Cowboy" are still all I've heard from him, so with a 2 for 3 run with me, Parker is shaping up to be somebody to put on my radar. Wishing him a speedy recovery from the virus as well.

So his EP came out today. I have a question how many of you download full EP’s?

Has he even announced a full album yet? Matt Stell is releasing another EP with basically the same songs his first one had. I personally think an album for him would’ve done well. One number one single and second single Everywhere But On destined to be his second number one in a few weeks. The new EP has Better Than That which I personally think should be the third single because it’s a hit waiting to happen. But anyways about Parker I would personally wait until he has another hit under his belt to release an album. Maybe I’m making a ridiculous statement by saying that though.

Another example and I think this is a full length CD, is Granger Smith's "Country Things". Came out digitally last week, maybe the week before. Now it's on pre-order on Amazon on CD.

Not a great week for two of my favorite tunes in the top 20. Both Parker & Jon Pardi lost a bit of audience this week, Jon lost more than this song though. I think if one of the two sticks around it’ll be this one.
Also, his EP that just came out is really good!

Pretty Heart has finally cracked the Top 40 on the Hot 100, as it reaches a new peak at #38 this week
Airplay has continued to grow, albeit at a bit of a slow pace, but I think this is almost definitely going to make it to #1 in a few weeks
This song has grown on me a lot, so I'm excited to see how much higher it can climb on the Hot 100 in the coming weeks

I noticed the trends what the large labels are doing with artists like Parker McCollum.
This song is targeted more to the large markets that like poppier songs, but they released Like A Cowboy which is more traditional country to the targeted audience that prefer that type of songs. They did that with Cody Johnson's "Nothing On You", all the latest Aaron Watson songs, High Valley, Tim Duggar, Randy Travis, Mo Pitney and others. It is a trend that I am seeing comparing the mainstream and the small market charts. "Young Man's Blues" would be Parker's 3rd released as we speak.

"Young Man's Blues" isnt getting promoted to small markets/Texas Country stations right now, though. Just charting because stations wanted a quick follow up to "Like A Cowboy" after that peaked. Hopefully it does get pushed though, ideally as his next mainstream single after "Pretty Heart".. It's a great song and nice change of tempo.

Very happy to see this hit #1 on Mediabase and hope that stays there through Sunday for the published update. Hoping it can also make it to #1 on Billboard as well, and that they follow this up with "Young Man's Blues" as that really has potential to help make him a star.
I really want a full-length project from him; I've grown to full on stan mode!

What I was saying, Like A Cowboy was pushed on the small markets for Mediabase since Parker had two songs in the top 60 at the same time. It would be his third single with Young Man's Blues on the small markets for Mediabase.
