Billboard isn't going to ignore their rules for their "protest." 10k copies that were sold last week will not count for this week, that's just how it works.

I'm not a fan of the tour-bundle system, but I think in this case, going by Billboard's chart logic and methodology, 5SOS really should have gotten the #1, because the albums were released early by clerical error; they should have been assigned to this week, and it wasn't the fans choice to consume them early. The Weeknd also still has a tour bundle for his album sales, so it's sort of a level playing field.

Oh boohoo. #1 or #2 who really cares when the album will be out of the top ten this week and no doubt out of the top 200 within weeks. The bigger streamed/bought album won.

To clarify I'm actually not particularly a fan of them. Haven't even listened to the album, just going by what I think should be logical chart methodology.

But yes, there are more important things to worry about now, so I can let it slide.

Something like this has happened in the past, when sales drove the BB200. "Street date" violations by some stores allowed an album to debut near the bottom of the chart, then surge to near the top next week when the album was supposed to debut.
