With "Be a Light" hitting the Top 10, will this make Reba as the only artist with a Top 10 single in six different decades? No. Reba McEntire has top tens during the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. And 2020s! ;)

Not related to this song exactly, but "Beer Can't Fix" becomes his first song since "Marry Me" to get certified in Canada, becoming Platinum. It's odd how nothing else got certified.

Maybe she can collaborate with someone in 2030 to get another decade in the books!

Though it's still selling well, the airplay for "Be a Light" has really slowed down the last few weeks. Is this song nearing the end or do you think airplay will pick up again once Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan & Miranda clear out? What's the chances of it still getting to #1?

I don't see anything stopping this from reaching #1 given the major chart housecleaning now underway with Luke going recurrent tomorrow, followed by Sam & Miranda in successive weeks, and LoCash set to lose 2,500+ spins next week starting on Monday.
Luke Combs is some 1,300 spins behind TR & Co. so expect both tunes to scoot up the charts in tandem over the next several weeks.

Yeah, I'm ecstatic as hell seeing as a #1 for this is looking very inevitable. This is the perfect time for a song like this, and Thomas was very smart to release it. What really makes me ecstatic of course is Reba's presence on it. If this song really does get there to #1 she'll get her first #1 since "Turn On the Radio" and she'll be the country artist to have a #1 in five decades!!! (80s, 90s, 2000s, 10s, 20s)

Is this almost done? After a good week last week, the spins for this has really decreased! I see it's also no longer listed on the Hot Adult Contemporary Format. With Kane Brown & Luke Combs right behind it, the window for #1 is looking less likely. I think almost every song in the Top 10 & def. the Top 5 the last several months has gone to #1 w/several songs getting CRAZY amounts of spins in just one week to get it to #1! I've not seen any promo ads in any of the chart magazines. Does anybody know if there is a push for #1 or even getting it further up the charts, coming up? Also, does anyone know when the CMA nominations are being announced? I'm hoping this gets several nominations & may give it that final push if it can hold out that long!

Is it safe to assume Rhett will go back to the album for his next single? I know everybody is rooting for Reba, but this one has just felt like such a placeholder type of song, and a waste of time. They have to release “Notice” at some point because that’s a great song, and there’s plenty of other great single worthy tracks from his last album too.

So according to tonight’s Country Aircheck, the label is asking for Max Spins the week of 8/30-9/6 in hopes to land an MB #1 on the 6th and BB #1 on the 7th.
I do think it will make it to #1 on MB but I could see BB being a little more difficult considering how fast and far ahead Luke is now.
I predict this makes it to #1 on MB & #2 on BB. I wish Luke would block FGL, let Thomas & Co. get their week and then return to the top but that just isn’t going to happen.
Regardless of what happens and where this finishes I am glad they gave this one a push. It is a great song IMO and a great representation of this year.

This is #4 this week on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. I think a Mediabase #1 is doable but BB will be a little bit tougher. The reason I think that is because Luke has #1 this week on BB and his song isn’t really going to drop yet, FGL’s tune will though so this will peak in the top 2 on BB no matter what.

"Be a Light" will without a doubt be #1 on Mediabase this upcoming week. Valory is all hands on deck and they want this one to go to #1 very badly, since all the proceeds for the song go to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. The royalties are even greater for a #1 record, which means more money goes to charity. Radio is on board. Billboard will obviously be harder. "Lovin' on You" is just under 5.0 million in audience ahead of Rhett & company, but I'm thinking this push will be similar to the "One Big Country Song" push from a few weeks ago -- where LoCash gained 6.4 million in Billboard audience, even though they came up just short of the Billboard #1. "Lovin' on You" should gain a little bit but not much, since there's not a ton of room to grow and Sony Nashville is still a couple weeks out from his official push week. Basically, "Lovin' on You" got to #1 naturally, and probably quicker than even Luke's label anticipated. I think Combs gets Billboard again this upcoming week but I've seen crazier things happen and don't count out a massive push week from Valory/BMLG.

Keith will get Mediabase I’m sure but I think Billboard might be hard for him as well. I’m thinking Kane will be the next #1 on Billboard followed by Lee next.

I feel like Kane’s latest has to be his lowest impact single in awhile. It’s catchy, but man I’m going to forget about it in a few months, I agree with you though.

The push week for "God Whispered Your Name" starts on Sunday and Keith's still more than 1,500 spins behind Luke on Mediabase and "Lovin' on You" should grow a bit by next weekend. 0% chance Keith gets Billboard and I'll give him a 30% chance for Mediabase. They would need to make up ground before the push week to pull it off. It's possible but definitely not a given given how far back he is.

Go Thomas and Co, get that #1 for both Billboard and Mediabase! I am praying this can unseat Luke Combs from the top as the man can step aside for one week and give this well deserved song that is perfect for the times we are experiencing right now a week at #1 on both charts. It's going to be close no doubt but I am hoping Valory gives it their all and fights to the end and come out on top for Billboard. This would give Reba her 26th Billboard #1 hit and first since 2011 with "Turn On The Radio". It would give Keith Urban his 22nd #1 and first since 2016's "Blue Ain't Your Color" even though he has had some Mediabase #1's since that time. This would also give a solo #1 for both Hillary Scott and Chris Tomlin. It would also be Thomas Rhett's 16th #1 for Billboard! Luke Combs, step aside for one week, it ain't going to kill you!!!

I hope this gets the #1 on BB as well so that Reba can add another one in her tally. Luke Combs can return to #1 next week.

Thomas Rhett means business. The biggest spin increase in the top 50:
5 2 THOMAS RHETT Be A Light f/McEntire, Scott.. 7795 6792 1003 44.015

I don't think the Billboard #1 is likely since it took so long this push week just to get the Mediabase #1. Also in doing my chart estimates today with Westwood One gains taken out I have "Be A Light" a full million in audience behind Luke Combs.

This lost more than 500k AI today, so it looks like it was mainly a Mediabase push. Pretty unlikely that it’ll get the Billboard #1 (sorry Reba!)
