Are we slowly reverting back to circa. 2001-2004/2005 where the Hot 100 was practically an exact duplicate of the Airplay charts, because I don’t understand how several of these songs of which are either underperforming or outright bombing in especially streams and sales or have completely faded in streams and sales are nearing the Top 10 of the Hot 100 or are (still) in the Top 10 at all.

The fact that “Bones” and “My, Oh My” will soon enter the Top 10 because of Pop radio. 💀

The gag is like My Oh My and The Bones have under 10M streams almost every week but gets a free ride in the top 10 because they are doing good on pop radio that's the hot 100 for you I would like to complain about it but Blinding Lights is benefiting from Radio right now.

There are several examples in these threads that show that even if airplay was weighed 30% less, the top ten would still be the same and changes wouldn't be that drastic even with 50% drop.

Also, streaming doesn't have very fast turnover either.

There is only one example from this week (one of the weakest sales/streaming week of the Streaming Era) and it's using the best-case scenario for radio (-30%). Don't use this as a reference for radio discussions because it's not fair.

These top ten hits on Hot 100 are in top ten on both Spotify weekly chart and radio (AM is album driven and a bit different story):

The Weeknd - Blinding Lights
Roddy Ricch - The Box
Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now
Doja Cat - Say So

Almost half of top ten.

Intentions is #10 on Spotify and #13 on radio - hardly unfair
Circles is #18 on Spotify and #4 on radio - hardly unfair
Adore You is #25 on Spotify and #3 on radio - I don't think that's unfair either but it's clearly airplay driven
Life Is Good is #21 on Spotify and #16 on radio - This does super well on Youtube and AM so is streaming driven even not that big on Spotify

The debatable ones are Everything I Wanted and Someone You Loved but both are top 40 on Spotify even if they are airplay driven.

I think people are freaking out over one or two particular tracks being in and one or two not being in top ten - in the big picture the top ten seems pretty fair to me.

Song 1 is old and he said it won't be on the new album (nor officially released probably), song 2 & 3 are Drake features ( 3 is for Playboy Carti, 2 is for Fivio & Sosa Geek (?) ). He played bunch of other old songs which  will never be officially released like Rolling, Which Side Are You On, original versions of bunch of songs.

The "leaked" song called 'Not Around' will be on his album under a different name.
