The video for Toosie Slide has already been parodied on SNL. The most uneventful #1 debut in years hehe omg pete stevenson misses his ex AWWWWW (also lol at him trying to rap more than Drake does in the song)

Watch as "Level of Concern" will skyrocket to Top 10 by next week's chart. Skyrocket yes but top 20-30 is where I’d put it personally

Why this Drake vs. Travis Scott war though? Too many people are b*tching about Toosie Slide going #1 and some people have insinuated that Travis is bigger than Drake commercially. Stop putting words in everyone’s mouth. I was saying Travis is a big name who can carry a hit on his own. Assuming all of the other factors were still in place (like the memes) SICKO MODE would have still been a massive #1 hit. You throwing a b*tch fit every time someone dares to criticize Drake won’t change that.

Here's to me hoping that:
- "Circles" remains in the top 5 for this week to tie the record with "Shape Of You" and "Closer" - "Break My Heart" doesn't drop too hard from its debut (-10 as initially predicted is good enough) - "Lean On Me" re-enters (a wonderful way to pay tribute to the legacy Bill Withers left behind - Rest in peace) - "Yummy" finally leaves the charts for good + wishful thinking that Usher and Ella Mai's "Don't Waste My Time" debuts.

Someone in another thread commented on Gwen Stefani having a hit, outlasting her peers and such. The current hit is another collaboration with Beau Shelton, from his album, so not sure if we can judge that fairly. To boot, she's only released three solo albums, with the third failing to produce a hit that landed in the top half of the Hot 100. Who cares, she's still credited as a lead artist? What peers has she outlasted tho? Fergie? Yes. Rihanna? Hell no. Gwen Stefani became a solo artist during a weird period of time when there weren’t many female artists out.

Beyonce, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Carrie Underwood (she was country but anyway), Mariah Carey with her comeback, Madonna with Confessions...

Beyonce, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Carrie Underwood (she was country but anyway), Mariah Carey with her comeback... Ridiculous comparison. Beyonce-No Pink-has been a giant touring force for years and her songs still chart Avril Lavigne-You got me there Kell-No way, she had a bunch of songs chart on pop and country in the 2010s Carrie Underwood-How is this even a comparison? Carrie was never a pop star Mariah Carey-She stated 15 years before Gwen Stefani went solo. Even if you are counting the No Doubt days, this is just a big fat NO. She didn't even outlast Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera who had much heftier careers than her. Let's just keep it cute with Fergie and Avril.

I was referring to that "there weren't many females" part but whatever.
In general, if we go by year there have been like max two big female artist debuting each year.
If we include only the female artists that debuted in 2002-07 when Gwen was popular, she has outlasted quite many of them, actually all except Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift who was a teen country phenomenon then.
I also think that Gwen can, and probably will, build a good country career.

How many weeks has "Intentions" been in the Top 10? Kind of happy at its longevity. Although it peaked at #8 it feels like it's been in the top 10 now for 2 months.

Gwen hasn’t been relevant musically since 2007 (13 years ago) so to say she outlasted people like P!nk/Kelly who actually had their own success throughout the 2010s because she scored one moderate hit shared with another artist is reaching. That’s like saying Billy Ray Cyrus outlasted Garth Brooks.

I think since his ‘album bomb’, but it was out of the top 10 for like 2 or 3 non consecutive weeks. Intentions is supposed to be the ‘Say Something’ of this era, while Yummy is the ‘Filthy’ and Get Me was the ‘Supplies’. Why couldn’t say something have this much longevity america

However, if you think about the last year all together, he scored 4 Top 10 hits when you include "I Don't Care" and "10,000 Hours." So overall it's pretty decent considering where he's at in his career.

New peaks for Ritmo, In Your Eyes, I Love Me, My Oh My, The Bones! Stupid Love stays steady but for how long... and of course another #1 for Drake, Best I Ever Had I think it peaked at #2 so he missed by a bit having a #1 in 3 decades.

Except you don't criticize Drake. You're a flat out hater. And the part of Sicko Mode that became a meme was a part of Drake's verse. Drake is just as much, if not more than why that song was as successful as it was. Even people who don't like Drake on here have admitted that. How am I a hater for arguing? I love a lot of Drake’s music. I’m not denying that he’s one of the biggest artists of the century. I’m just disagreeing that Drake is what made that song big. He does have the power to force mid tier artists into hits (lil baby and blocboy) but Travis was already a huge name by that point
