I don’t understand how it’s comparable to yummy. Yes i do get how its a disappointment but what else do u expect from a tik tok exclusive song. And unlike yummy, i actually kinda like toosie slide.


It’s best described as some lost song on Scorpion, sounding like a mix of Mob Ties and Finesse with the obvious autotune from Summer Games, having the intentions just like In My Feelings and the instrumental sounding like a bit of Elevate

Drake is obviously going to #1, but i doubt this will become the cultural phenomenon that was “In My Feelings” which actually went viral unintentionally. It might go to #1 for 7-10 weeks and then fall fast, especially since it came with a music video already.

I’m not going to hate on Drake. He obviously has a formula and knows how to ride trends. It’s been that way since 2015 with him, not sure why we are suddenly seeing such outrage. I guess it’s because this was done in a such an obvious contrived way. I hope the 2nd single is something different though, because his formula is getting a little stale.

No the version that was on the deluxe last week was a slowed down version of the Uzi remix. He finally released the normal version today

I'm not mad at the fact that it's Drake. The song is supposed to be a dance song but without energy and bombast. It's TikTok bait at best. Plus, Drake has the ability to do much better as an artist. You can definitely see it in Nice For What, but with songs like this, he's not using his potential to streak greatness like Thank Me Later and Take Care.

Trippie Redd was supposed to be on God's Plan but failed to record a verse to it in time. Lil Baby was supposed to be on Toosie Slide but failed to record a verse to it on time. To be honest, I'm glad both of them didn't make it in both instances. The songs are better with just Drake and Drake and Lil Baby will have many more chances to collaborate, they already have one top 10 hit and one top 15 hit together.

I'm not sure about Toosie Slide's #1 debut. If I was given money to bet if Toosie Slide gets the #1 debut, I would bet against it because a week from now Blinding Light's radio numbers are going to be crazy

Tootsie Slide will debut at #1 on spotify US I'm certain global eh... but chart wise it could be top 5 on Billboard if it hold strong throughout the weekend now debuting at #1 I doubt it.

I am looking forward to seeing it. “Downtown’s Dead” was weird because the timeline went: BLABR - huge hit, DD - seemed like nobody really cared about it at all, Kinfolks/this album - seems like it will be really big!

I can’t even say which song he should’ve put out instead of Downtown’s Dead because I don’t even know which of the songs on the album was written yet...
