Kanye’s first 4 albums are classics meanwhile Taylor post mva has released solid projects so I’d vote because she has less missteps than Kanye.

^ First 5*
no doubt here. I pick Kanye, but Taylor is fine too, especially 1989 and reputation.

Both had strong starts with solid, critically and commercially successful albums but as a whole, Taylor's discography is more enjoyable and has been more consistent in terms of quality.

I like a fair few of Kanye’s songs (even if he is a dumbass) but honestly I like more of Taylor’s songs so Taylor.

I don't really care for country music so I went with Kanye. Love Rep and 1989 though.

How shocking that people who listen to Pop music... prefer the pop artist?

ok so one dropped some of the best albums of the century. the other is taylor swift.
admittedly, i haven't listened to all the taylor swift albums yet, but based off the songs i've heard, none of them are close to reaching the highs of even lesser kanye albums like ye and 808s (they're both 8/10s tho)

Kanye is probably the better choice because of how influential he is for hiphop and music in general if I’m being honest. I like more Taylor songs though so that’s what I picked her for. It’s not deep at all. I find the take that Taylor is ahead of Kanye as an artist to be frankly ignorant.

I don't know why anyone would treat this thread as anything less than the troll poll that it is. This is like pitting Carole King against Dr. Dre. Literally makes zero sense to try to compare two artists serving entirely different audiences and who have to take entirely different approaches to their music bc of the very different expectations those audiences have, and this wouldn't exist if not for Kanye and Taylor's personal drama.

Taylor is an amazing songwriter and her earlier albums are really poetic and very sweet to listen to and it always amazes me how she was able to stand out so much at such a young age, but I feel ever since she went pop she’s traded that amazing writing for catchy hooks that just don’t do justice for me personally, her most recent album has moments (songs like The Archer) where she gets me with her writing but it doesn’t excite me the way that she used to, and her vocals alone have never been what attracts me to her music anyway.
Kanye, on the other hand, has never topped his debut in my opinion but he has come close so many times. I look forward to whenever he releases new music because I know that he’ll do something bold and exciting and make it work one way or another. I feel like a lot of people tend to discredit Kanye because of his ego and his often sour attitude but at this moment in time where the main music demographic is shifting from Pop to Hip-Hop, Kanye’s contributions will most likely be remembered for decades to come. There’s really nobody else out here like him.
Both are amazing but I gotta go with Kanye.

Taylor didn’t make Jesus Is King yeah, but he's released 8 other classics, why single that one out unless it's the only one you've heard which i realize is probably true

I'll pick the one that doesn't have ten million samples and writing credits on their albums.
