Doja has a nice versatility in her music, I wouldn't say mediocre tho.

“Toosie Slide” seems like a forced attempt to cash in on the current sociopolitical climate. “This Is America” worked because time and effort was put into making it. There was no big post-9/11 anthem, now was there? “Hero” only got to 3.

Wouldn't a song be a about like isolation, or loneliness or distance if it was really going to cashin on the sociopolitical climate, rather than a TikTok dance challenge that would've been forced even if we weren't on lockdown?

The video shows Drake in a mask dancing quarantined in his mansion.

But could he really do a "video" at this time? He most likely wouldve still got the number one without it.

People aren't watching the music video because he was quarantined in his house with a mask on. So how is the quarantine video the reason it's a hit? The main reason this song is taking off is because the dance. Nothing related to the social climate.

DaBaby is still huge but I doubt he's big enough to knock 5 songs out of the top 10

There was no big post-9/11 anthem, now was there? “Hero” only got to 3. the lyrics are literally “right foot up left foot slide”, I don’t think there’s any deep sociopolitically relevant meaning lol

Circles will somehow stay in the top 10 the only chance of Dababy touching that top 10 is with MOM.

Fingers crossed that DaBaby is powerful enough to help us get rid of some trash in the Top 10.

I'm saddened by the news and confused at the same time. Billboard workers could perfectly transition to working from home.

www.digitalmusicnews.com/2020/04/14/billboard-bracing-for-significant-layoffs-and-print-version-scale-back/Billboard Bracing for Significant Layoffs; Print Version Getting Scaled Backby Dylan Smith, April 14, 20202 The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group Hit With Significant Layoffs Billboard parent company Valence Media is preparing to make substantial cuts, including employee layoffs and a scaled-back print version of Billboard, in response to the financial strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Sources with knowledge of the matter expect the cutbacks to initiate as early as this week. Valence will attempt to reduce the budget of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard by approximately $10 million, according to the same sources, though it’s currently unclear exactly how many employees will be let go by the Eldridge Industries-owned media company. Additionally, Valence’s layoffs and cost-cutting measures will predominantly impact The Hollywood Reporter, which has posted multimillion-dollar annual losses in recent years; Valence Media itself has too experienced substantial yearly losses. In a testament to the pervading uncertainty and turmoil within the offices of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, editorial director Matthew Belloni departed The Hollywood Reporter last week, after openly clashing with Valence Media higher-ups over layoffs. Valence expects to bring a new editorial director onboard by Memorial Day, May 25th. Print-wise, both The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard will release less frequently, with the latter beginning to print monthly as opposed to weekly. Company officials have yet to provide specific date for this rolled-back printing schedule. Moreover, at the time of this writing, Valence Media hadn’t commented publicly on its expected layoffs and budget cuts.
