I've updated the Spotify US Top 200 songs trend to 2019/04/01. I'll probably keep backtracking over time. As you can see, streams are at the lowest levels over this past year. I predict it hasn't been this low since 2017

Nah imo, I think it'll do a lot better since Thug drops so more much frequently than Carti. People have been wanting new Carti for years. Def not as much as Eternal Atake, but I can see it doing around 200k max

Carti will do huge numbers, the hip hop community treats this man like a god. I mean he did invent music after all, don't forget.

Aside from Magnolia, Carti doesn’t have a video with more than 40M views on youtube, and his streaming numbers are similar to Thug pre-So Much Fun.

He reminds me a lot of early Thug with his cult following not quite matching up with mainstream success, so I think a SMF-level 130-150k debut is most likely.

I think the Vinyl/CD/cassette singles will give Blinding Lights 10k~ sales this week, which is just under 17 points in that formula. I don't think Simon estimated for them, he always leaves out those sales or doesn't estimate them until final predictions.

Apparently that was his most viewed video, but then i go on his youtube and then i see that this is his most viewed video, and this shows more proof that latin songs sell no matter what, regardless of quality... But what if he makes more songs like this because he can’t go back to his old signature style

I'm fine with "Blinding Lights" not returning to #1 and I'm sure he is too. Maybe he's making a killing off these bundles and there's a high demand. Most of his merchandise have been very attractive.
