Sad I missed this, but, to no one's surprise, my #1 would have been the eventual winner, anyway. Glad that "Fantastic Voyage" made the top five, too.
Let's see if I'm able to actually do 1982. I probably won't be able to, but fingers crossed.

10. Being with you (6): An early 80s classic with good recurrent airplay back home. I like the smooth vibe and vocals, although the melody outside the I don’t care has become a bit weaker with time
9. Endless love (3): I’ve always loved this song. Both bring the right type of tenderness and innocence that fit the movie. As opposed that monstrousity of a cover in the 90s that was more about who outsings who and who puts the biggest dosis of melisma. I almost ranked it at #1 but I had to deduct some points for being more AC than soul...
8. Don’t stop the music (10): this has a great, futuristic instrumental, but a bit too simple melody.
7. Whatcha gonna do? (9): much stronger melody and vocals and good beat here. A great discovery for me.
6. I’m in love (4): a great song I discovered recently thanks to another pulse RD. Great melody, vocals and production. Very nice mix of old disco with bits of new 80s synth pop sound.

5. Fantastic Voyage (5): This had a really nice post-disco melody and sound, with good vocals. It wasn't that popular back home in the 80s. I do remember liking Coolio's song, too. Great PPPP! 4. Burn Rubber (8): Another well-produced Gap Band song. A good discovery for this RD, although I don't like it as much as other more popular songs by them. 3. Give It To Me Baby (2): A highlight from his career. Another good post-disco tune with great production and melody. 2. Never Too Much (12): I love his vocals, but I'm not that big fan of the melody or production. 1. Let's Groove (1): One of my favorite EW&F and early 80s songs. Love the melody, the multiple hooks, the music, and the vocals. And it also brings back lots of great childhood memories. Thanks, Soulsista for another fun rank down!
