I call it the "Happier-effect," where a known artist will get one really huge hit with loads of longevity that causes their follow-up singles to under perform. We saw it with Marshmello, we saw it with Halsey, and now we are seeing it with Khalid. Talk was huge last year but everything he's released since then hasn't stuck. Will this happen to Posty, or is he immune to it? Not that I want it to happen to Posty, Circles is great and I'm intrigued to see what he releases next off of his quarantine album, but I'm just curious. I'm not sure, I've been pondering lately if Circles is just too big that his next few singles won't perform as well. Post has had a lot of huge hits so far and whatever he releases doesn't seem to get effected, but Circles has stuck around way longer than any of his other hits, hell it's likely gonna be the biggest pop hit of all time. Circles basically killed the rest of the album cycle, both Take What You Want and Enemies flopped at Pop likely due to Circles still smashing. But who knows, he'll probably be fine. |

Btw, anyone else confused that Know Your Worth by Disclosure and Khalid hasn't done better? Idk, I feel like Khalid singles ever since Location have had crazy longevity on the charts but recently none of his singles have really stuck. I was thinking the same thing, since the other day Khalid officially crossed 15Billion streams on Spotify...KYW could have easily risen a bit more |

Khalid will release a Know Your Worth remix featuring Davido & Tems tomorrow, maybe this version will be pushed to the radio. Same happened to Right Back, when A Boogie Wit da Hoodie hopped on the remix. In that case, let him release another better or talk kind of song and let’s see the GP’s reaction |

If Post Malone’s team is smart they should release a single from that livestream.
I could see a Nirvana cover by Post Malone doing extremely well.
Part of me also just wants to see a cover in the top 10 though, cause when was the last time that happened.
