ROUND NINE - RESULTS
Welcome to the ninth elimination ceremony! Tonight, ten is gonna turn to nine. It's gonna be the end of the competition for one of you.
Mayman is unable to do his judging duty this time, and in his place, I have invited two guest judges: tim & lady𝓐fan
And without further ado, the winner of this round is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} MATT!Patsy Cline - "Crazy"Honestly, everyone has no one else to blame other than themselves when they send earlier than you but you still managed to grab the best song a couple hours before the deadline. Congratulations on your FOURTH win of the season!Sambalada: "PATSY! Patsy is the OG lady of country music even long before Dolly. Every main country girls from every era took her as an inspiration and it's easy to see why. The richness in her vocals are crazy (lol) and this song is the ultimate showcase of her potential. Such a gorgeous, exquisite song. Vocals, instrumentation, songwriting. It's literally flawless." (9.9)Walt: "This is a classic and I’ve definitely heard it before. This song excels in its simplicity, Patsy’s vocals are great and I love how they play off the piano and the doo-wop vocals in the background." (9.0)Gates: "The word I think suits this song the best is: arresting. Crazy is just such a big mood--the slow swing, the sparse but ultra-precise instrumentation, the doo-wop-y harmonies, Cline's performance being concurrently sultry and devastatingly sad. This track just grips me, and flows in a way that feels so right." (9.2)Mayman: --Hamed: "I have heard very little of Patsy Cline but I know this song and I do wish I remembered to listen to more of her classics. She has such a gorgeous immaculate voice and I love the simplicity of the song's melody. It is a very sweet song that just never truly gets old. Also I guess this round has just taught me that a lot of older Country music is on the rather short side." (9.1)Willapted: "Fantastic vocal performance, the piano in the background is so satisfying and overall this song is just brilliant." (9.7)Tim: "Quite possibly one of the best country songs of all time. Without this song both Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson may not be the legends they are today leaving the country genre with a gaping hole." (10)Ladyafan: (9.4)TOTAL: 66.3 | AVERAGE: 9.47The second best is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} FEARLESS!Dolly Parton - "Jolene"Looks like we have the same top 2 as last round, lol. Keep up the consistency!Sambalada: "A true classic. I love how the song has been adopted by the LGBT+ community in modern years because it's such a great tune. Instrumentals are very well-arranged and the song was written so beautifully, either lyrically or structurally. Every aspects of this song totally come together and everything sound perfect." (9.7)Walt: "This is what I would have sent. Such a classic, Dolly sells the theme of begging a girl not to take her man with conviction and the instrumental is so sweet. This is probably my favorite country song of all time, for the record." (10)Gates: "Such ingenious lyrics for this song. A woman discovering possible adultery committed against her, but instead of anger, her sorrow manifests in feelings of inadequacy, thus blaming herself for not singularly keeping her man's attention. She seems to almost admire the other woman as like a romantic force of nature, but believes her best course of action to put an end to the cheating is not to threaten/attack her, but to reason with her in an emotional appeal. There's a lot to unpack here. It wouldn't mean anything if Parton didn't voice this character wonderfully, or if that guitar and fiddle didn't sound so sweet, so fortunately, they do." (8.0)Mayman: --Hamed: "Probably my favorite Country song period, Dolly sounds lovely and I absolutely love the instrumentation backing the melody. Just listening to her crying out to keep her man, it tugs the strings of my heart. The only problem with this song is that it is so short and I don't want it to end at all, I want mooooore. But that isn't something that will affect my score." (9.8)Willapted: "You’d struggle to find a single person on Earth that dislikes this, absolute classic." (9.1)Tim: "One of the most recognizable hits from Dolly Parton that I’m sure just about everyone has heard at some point in their lifetime." (9.8)Ladyafan: (9.6)TOTAL: 66.0 | AVERAGE: 9.43The third best is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} VIOLET!Glen Campbell - "Wichita Lineman"...And the exact same top 3! Congratulations girl!Sambalada: "So f**king gorgeous. The instrumentation is nothing short of beautiful, especially on the post-chorus. The sparkly bright instruments is a show-stopper. This song is also written so well, the flow and the lyrics create this beautiful wave. No wonder it's become Glen's most recognizable song for non-country fans." (9.4)Walt: "This is beautiful, I love the instrumental (especially the string section), it’s such a lush and rich sounding song. The lyrics about longing for someone with the imagery of working on a telephone wire hit really hard too." (8.9)Gates: "The gorgeous, smooth, and evocative band/orchestral arrangement would honestly still merit replay even without words on top. The never-settled chord progression, the scrumptious tone on the guitar (especially in the solo), the "Morse code" keyboard riff--these are just a few of the track's many instrumental details. But Campbell's rich singing, combined with the story of a man who tries to stay grounded while balancing his solitary job and meeting the needs of the love of his life, just does everything to complete the song." (9.5)Mayman: --Hamed: "Another pleasant listen, I enjoy the instrumentation most on this song. Aside from that there isn't so much going on in terms of Glen's voice, it is pleasant but the instrumentation is the real selling point here." (8.1)Willapted: "Sweet vocals, strings and overall atmosphere on this one – great pick." (9.0)Tim: "Although a short and sparse song, it’s masterfully delivered by Glen with simple lyricism and is a longtime favorite of mine." (9.4)Ladyafan: (8.6)TOTAL:62.9 | AVERAGE: 8.99Next...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} CHARMANDER!Johnny Cash - "Folsom Prison Blues"Sambalada: "This has become Cash's most iconic song over the years and for good reasons. That guitar works are just amazing, I can't see how anyone can not like this even if you're not really into country. Maybe if you're extremely biased. But like, it's so gorgeous. The songwriting in this song is soooo beautiful. Almost too beautiful if I may say." (9.5)Walt: "I LOVE the songwriting here. The character is clearly a bad person (as indicated by the “I shot a man in Reno” line) but Cash includes just enough imagery to make you feel bad for him." (9.1)Gates: "I'm going to rate the 1968 live version since it's more well-known and celebrated. And the consensus here is certainly right. The song by itself is wonderfully written; like, damn, few people can make a critique of the American justice/incarceration system this funny and hooky. But then you add in Cash's band jamming the tune to the utmost of their abilities, and the way Johnny's method of directly appealing to an audience of actual criminals works so well (trust me, you can hear how much they're into this), and you have one of the ultimate demonstrations of how music brings people together." (9.5)Mayman: --Hamed: "I don't know much from Johnny Cash to be honest but I do know I have heard this song before, it's a nice little catchy tune, also wow this is also rather short. Aside from that, I have nothing against the song but would I voluntarily go out of my way to listen to it again, not really but I appreciate it for what it is." (7.6)Willapted: "Really like the lyrics to this one, melodically its cool too. The instrumental is simple but effective. The live version is superior though." (8.2)Tim: "This isn’t just a signature song from the legend himself but is a signature song of the country music genre as a whole. Another country music staple that has stood the test of time over five decades later." (9.7)Ladyafan: (8.1)TOTAL: 61.7 | AVERAGE: 8.81Next...
{Spoiler}{Spoiler} BORN!Patsy Cline - "She's Got You"Sambalada: "Another prove on how Patsy managed to leave such a huge impact even with a very short career. Her vocal performance is simply immaculate on this really beautiful song." (8.7)Walt: "I don’t think I like this one as much as Crazy but I still enjoy it. Patsy’s vocals here are just so beautiful." (8.6)Gates: "Patsy was pretty consistent from 1957-62; this and her other song in this set are both examples of such. Honestly, I'd say this has the same basic appeal as Crazy, so I won't repeat myself much, though that's not to say it feels retread-y. The different pace and the chiming, echo-y piano figure set it apart enough, and you'll certainly remember this for the concept behind the lyrics, aided by their descriptiveness. And Cline's performance nails the little hesitations and modulations to make the emotion land." (8.3)Mayman: --Hamed: "A lot of the same sentiments I wrote for Crazy apply here. Patsy sounds divine, the instrumentation is the simple classic good stuff that just fits like a glove, and I love the songwriting. Truly above all else, Patsy Cline knew how to carry a song and it's melody with her amazing voice that makes you feel her emotion." (9.2)Willapted: "I don’t like it quite as much as Crazy but still a great song." (8.6)Tim: "Simply a classic from the legend herself that is masterfully written by the great Hank Cochran." (9.0)Ladyafan: (8.8)TOTAL: 61.2 | AVERAGE: 8.74Next...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} ZACH!Emmylou Harris - "Where Will I Be"Sambalada: "Ooohh the vocals are so gorgeous. Great bassline in the background too. I really enjoy how they bring the music to create an atmosphere." (7.9)Walt: "This is such a pretty song omg. I love Emmylou’s vocal performance and the layering of the instrumental is so dreamy and gorgeous." (8.5)Gates: "The words here give you much to consider, along with neat imagery. We hear Harris, in an advanced stage of her career, mulling over pain and strife among society and the people who are most dear to her, and whether she has the resolve to rise to the duties she places upon herself. The distinctive march-like drum figure acts as a rock upon which the airy, melancholic guitar/various accompaniment builds up and changes very skillfully over the course of the runtime." (8.8)Mayman: --Hamed: "I have never heard a single song from Emmylou Harris but wow I should really fix that. She sounds fantastic on this song, I love the songwriting, and the instrumentation is great. I am also happy that this song is on the longer side of things cause I love it even more as it goes on." (8.6)Willapted: "Honestly, I’ve never heard a song from this artist before, but this is a great discovery. Love both the vocals and instrumental, hell yeah." (9.4)Tim: "This comes from a career-redefining album that breathed new life into Emmylou’s career in the mid 90s. She’s always been a bit eclectic and both this song and album pushed her into a refreshing direction." (8.5)Ladyafan: (7.4)TOTAL: 59.1 | AVERAGE: 8.44Next...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} NICK PERKINS!Johnny Cash - "I Walk The Line"Sambalada: "I'm not a fan of the same song being sent on two seasons when the theme is similar. I've judged it on Season 1 on the country theme and to summarize, it has a very infectious intro, a catchy hook, and a great vocal performance from Johnny Cash. I don't mind a repeat from last season but when it was sent for a similar theme, I might dock a few points for that. But you're still safe because it's such a great song." (8.8)Walt: "Another classic from Johnny Cash, I don’t like this one as much as Folsom Prison Blues but it’s still a great song. It’s got a memorable hook and the lyrical sentiment is really sweet." (8.6)Gates: "The main melody of this song, and the steady loping rhythm, is good enough that I could hear it played with no variation for a long time without getting bored. But Cash goes the extra mile to keep it fresh anyway with the key changes. The simple but memorable rhymes convey well how the narrator is motivated by his partner to stay clean, and Johnny's gruff delivery is the epitome of cool." (8.5)Mayman: --Hamed: "Probably the most recognized song from Cash, it's a simple song melodically but I really like that it just is a song dedicated to his wife. It's pretty endearing and adds some charm to the song. Aside from that, it isn't something I would come back to much on my own but if it came on, I wouldn't mind it." (8.3)Willapted: "Iconic song, his vocals and the instrumental on this one are great." (8.5)Tim: "An instantly recognizable song from Johnny Cash that I always find hard not to want to sing along with." (8.0)Ladyafan: (8.4)TOTAL: 59.1 | AVERAGE: 8.44The last person to escape the bottom two is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} ADRIAN C.!Reba McEntire - "Fancy"Sambalada: "Reba has amazing an amazing vocal tone and it really shows in this song. I don't think the verses are unique or standing out against other songs but they really bought me with the hook. Add Reba's vocals to it and the overall result is great." (8.7)Walt: "I’ve heard this a few times now in Pulse-related games and I really like it! The song tells a really enthralling and empowering story (or about as empowering as a song about prostitution can be) and Reba’s vocals do the story justice, that chorus just hits hard." (8.9)Gates: "To be honest, Reba doesn't have one of my favorite voices or anything. She's fine, I'm just not especially drawn to it. I like how the instrumental here has a cowboy/rock bent, but the tones feel slightly over-polished. The main draw, again, is the lyrics, which paint an interesting picture of a destitute family who is driven by society to feel their daughter's only path to a better life is through striving for physical beauty." (6.1)Mayman: --Hamed: "This is a total classic, I love Reba's voice on the song and the lyricism on this song is a classic. Easily up there as one of favorites from Reba and the song just never gets old." (9.3)Willapted: "Her vocals are solid, but the instrumental doesn’t do anything for me. It also goes on a bit too long." (6.2)Tim: "It’s almost hard to imagine this song not included in Reba’s repertoire as it’s gone one to become one of her signature hits and a favorite of her fans including myself. In one short word this song is EPIC!" (8.9)Ladyafan: (9.8)TOTAL: 57.9 | AVERAGE: 8.27
Wow I think you have a very good luck (or bad luck depending on how you see it) as this is the FORTH consecutive times you barely avoided the bottom two. Which means the bottom two are...{Spoiler}{Spoiler}
DISTRICT & SLIPPERY
District, you're doing great at the beginning. And then you weren't. And then you come back. And you dwindled again. Very inconsistent. Slippery, it seems like you may have not learnt anything from the time you were originally eliminated. This is your third straight bottom two.
One of you will be eliminated.

The last person to advance to the next round is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} SLIPPERY!Kenny Rogers - "The Gambler"Sambalada: "I'm sorry but this song is probably the most basic songs out of these selections. Even then, it's still a solid song. Musically it's fine and it has a great meaningful lyrics. And Kenny's delivery is beautiful. However, like I said, it's the most basic choice as in it doesn't have as much depth as every other songs in this set. It's a great song, just a little upstaged by better songs." (7.7)Walt: "RIP Kenny Rogers first and foremost. I really like how the gambling metaphor is incorporated here, and I think Rogers’ delivery helps to sell this song. The instrumental is simple but satisfactory." (8.0)Gates: "This song's a widely loved iteration on the "mystical senior citizen opines on philosophy through metaphor" trope. It's pretty solid the whole way through, but obviously that chorus is what sticks in your brain. If the instrumentation showed a little more variety I would like this even more, though. And while the weathered vocal does fit the story, I'll admit it does get a little too rough at points." (7.0)Mayman: --Hamed: "I like the storytelling on the song, it is the strongest point. Aside from that it's a pleasant melody and listen but I guess most of older Country is stuff that I wouldn't come back to listen to." (8.0)Willapted: "Always liked this one, great chorus and vocal performance." (8.5)Tim: "An instantly recognizable song from Kenny Rogers that went on on to define both his career and country music of the late 70s." (9.2)Ladyafan: (9.1)TOTAL: 57.5 | AVERAGE: 8.21
Luck is on your side again. Three bottom two's in a row won't look good at the finale though so you need to come back super strong if you want to win.Which means...
{Spoiler}{Spoiler} DISTRICT, I'm sorry but you've been eliminated.
George Strait - "Blue Clear Sky"
Sambalada: "This may fall on the more basic side for this round but I still found more depth in this than another song. The way they bring the instruments together are great. The song is catchy as in nicely upbeat, though not memorable in the melody. But they bought me with George's performance and the faboulous instrumental." (8.5) Walt: "This feels a tad more… basic? than the other songs in this round, but I still like it. It’s got a nice melody and I like how the different elements of the instrumental come together." (7.5) Gates: "I feel the enormous success of Strait's songs in this vein owes to a high degree of professionalism. He's talented at keeping one foot in a traditional, meat-and-potatoes twangy vibe and the other in the evolving sound of modern country pop, and performing in an energetic, but easy-on-the-ears manner. It's the kind of song that manages to engage me while it's playing, but doesn't feel transformative. Not gonna lie, I expected a little more based on the title." (6.3) Mayman: -- Hamed: "A pleasant little tune but this feels like the very basic form of Country that I personally just never cared for at all. It isn't bad at all but it is not my cup of tea." (7.3) Willapted: "Not in love with his voice and nothing about this really stands out to me, it’s fine, I guess." (5.8) Tim: "A personal all-time favorite of mine from George’s catalog of hits that still sounds just as fresh today as it did back in 1996. And if not for the movie Forrest Gump we would have never of gotten this song!" (9.6) Ladyafan: (9.3) TOTAL: 54.3 | AVERAGE: 7.76
You should be proud of yourself. You had a good run but maybe just a tad too one-note. Thank you for participating! :)

Sorry for the basicness of my pick. Admittedly I’m not an expert at all on country songs pre 2000s so I wasn’t familiar with too many songs.

ROUND TEN - RESULTS
Welcome to the tenth elimination ceremony! Y'all totally step it up this round. As evident, this is the first time that we have ZERO songs with an average rating below an 8! Unfortunately, that also means this is going to be a hard elimination.
With jtd Thee Stallion and SHOOTER as guest judges, the winner of this round is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} FEARLESS!Lauryn Hill - "Doo Wop (That Thing)"We love to see the consistency you're serving lately!Sambalada: "Lauryn Hill leaving so much impact with just one album is beyond iconic. The production in this song is so clean and divine, and the rapping on top of it is flaw free. The chorus is f**king infectious!" (8.8)Walt: "I know it probably isn’t gonna happen at this point but I need Lauryn to make more music because Miseducation is such an iconic album. I don’t think I like this song as much as “Ex-Factor” but it’s still great, the production is so natural and I think Lauryn makes a good point about shallow people." (8.9)Gates: "The music industry has this song to thank for breaking down barriers of success for women in rap, so it would always be enduring in that aspect. And that's before you get into how tight, clean, and natural-feeling the beat is, the huge soulful hook, and Hill knowing every which way around a rhyme. Over time I've grown a little weary of how brow-beating the lyrics can get here, though." (8.4)Mayman: "A classic. One of my favorite songs from the '90s." (9.9)Hamed: "God Lauryn Hill needs to give the world more music, her album is so f**king good. Doo Wop is such a unique song that takes influences of doo wop (duh), R&B, and rap. Lauryn sings as good as she raps, which is killer on both ends. Her songwriting is no joke either, I love the songwriting here and that she is just saying to avoid getting used for sex. I also love the intro and outro for the song, very happy we got a Lauryn song on this." (10)District: (8.5)Shooter: "The epitome of R&B and hip-hop intersecting and a fundamental exercise in how the two genres influence and thrive off of each other. Perfection!" (10)JTD: (10)TOTAL: 74.5 | AVERAGE: 9.31The second best is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} NICK PERKINS!Missy Elliott - "Work It"Another bounce to the top 2! Keep it up!Sambalada: "I'm not entirely sold that she actually reverse that line, lol. The song's iconic-ness is undeniable. She has strong hooks in this song, and the main chorus is damn hard to take out of your head." (9.2)Walt: "I love the off-the-wall energy this song has. The beat has so many cool little elements and Missy has so many great lines here (most notably the “flip it and reverse it” line - iconic, her mind, etc)" (9.0)Gates: "This song makes no apologies for what it is, with the backdrop of an incessant minimal buzzy beat, plus well-timed beat swtiches. Missy's goal is to demystify sexuality with nonstop brash and silly gags. With how much she pushes the boundaries here, there were bound to be a few clunkers. But overall, this song is consistently fun." (7.3)Mayman: "My favorite Missy song and one of my favorite songs when I was younger. It's pretty unique." (8.8)Hamed: "Iconic classic bop, I love Missy's delivery and the use of rapping lyrics in reverse is such a unique trait this song has. The elephant noise? iconic, it's such a catchy track and Missy just kills it. We also love a good hoe anthem and this is one of the best." (10)District: (9.0)Shooter: "Missy's punchlines are some of the best in the business. Fight me! This proved how hip-hop could be commercial without being watered down or overtly trendy! It was criminal it didn't get at LEAST a week at #1!" (10)JTD: (10)TOTAL: 73.3 | AVERAGE: 9.16The third best is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} SLIPPERY!Missy Elliott - "Get Ur Freak On"Finally returning to the top after three consecutive bottom 2's! Congratulations!Sambalada: "My favorite of all Missy's big hits! This song has everything, great energetic performance, multiple strong hooks, and a practically flawless production. Peak Missy Elliott honestly." (9.3)Walt: "Damn we got a lot of Missy in this round (as we should). I love the Indian-inspired elements to the beat here and it’s just a fun as hell song, not much more to say." (8.9)Gates: "This beat is tense and bouncy, and only gets better as the song progresses. Missy's bars are pure cool and confidence. She put an emphasis on flow here, in turn causing her voice to act like another instrument. And with deceptively simple worldplay, she still manages to put most other brag raps to shame." (7.8)Mayman: "This is so good. One of my favorites from Missy." (8.5)Hamed: "I absolutely love this one as well, the Punjabi influences and use of bhangra in this are amazing and I love it when mainstream music takes Middle Eastern influences. Missy on the song also kills it here and it is such an earworm. Timbaland kills it with the production and this one is just another classic." (9.8)District: "(8.2)Shooter: "Hip-hop innovation from top to bottom!" (10)JTD: (10)TOTAL:72.5 | AVERAGE: 9.06Next...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} BORN!Little Simz - "Offence"Sambalada: "I really need to check out the rest of her 2019 album based on a few tracks I discovered in the past few months from Pulse games. This got hella robbed in Shooter's tourney, the production is f**king amazing. That bassline is the definition of perfection. Her flows are killer, hook after hook after hook." (9.7)Walt: "This is really cool. I love all the different elements to the beat with the bassline, the flutes, the piano, it’s a really complex beat but all the different parts of it come together. Little Simz’ flow is great too." (8.9)Gates: "Simz is focused mainly on asserting her dominance on the mic here, and she pretty much nails it--though I'll admit something feels a bit off with the "said it with my chest" refrain. The production utterly burns with its fuzz bass, crisp drums, and the wild woodwinds. And just so you know she doesn't take herself too seriously, you get the transition into the strange piano + cartoon SFX part." (8.5)Mayman: "Kinda left field. Not bad but something I wouldn't listen to." (6.8)Hamed: "Ooh another song from her cool, I like this more than Venom. The production on this is really good and I love the message of the song, her bars here are really good too. This is the only song present here that I didn't know and I really like it, like this is way better than Venom. Her delivery is just fantastic, I definitely am very much invested in checking her out now." (9.5)District: (8.9)Shooter: "I've longed considered Simz to be a British counterpart to Missy with her deadpan delivery and metaphors and I love how she's not a grime traditionalist but much more forward-thinking in her sonic approach." {Spoiler}{Spoiler} MATT!M.I.A. - "Paper Planes"Sambalada: "It's one of my childhood classics. Of course, as a child I didn't know what this song is about and I only love it because it's catchy. Understanding the lyrics when I grow up make me love this song even more. It was such an ironic tale about immigrants. Great production as well, that has stood the test of time. It still sounds fresh today." (9.8)Walt: "Another jam from MIA. I love how the Clash sample is incorporated here and the chorus is just iconic, I know y’all do hand signals when the gun shots come up lol." (9.5)Gates: "M.I.A. takes delight in making fun of the narratives that get pushed around both immigrants and 'delinquents', and her messy, playful delivery complements the concept very well. Smart sample choice to take a fiery The Clash guitar intro and make it a centerpiece for a whole song while combining it with snaps and modern knocking drum programming that don't follow an obvious beat. And of course, who doesn't love the hook with those iconic 'bangs' and 'cha-ching's?" (8.1)Mayman: "I used to hate this but it's grown on me over time. I still don't like the chorus but the verses and the production is pretty cool." (7.0)Hamed: "God this is such a classic from back in 08 and it still surprises me that this managed to become a huge hit on the charts. You are a lying piece of garbage if you do not find this song catchy and that chorus iconic, literal ear candy. Lyrically the song is no joke either, it is masterfully written and I love that the whole chorus is mockery oh how idiots think immigrants come to other countries to take jobs and create problems for people. Literally one of the best songs of all time and god I love M.I.A. Also Switch and Diplo kill it production wise here." (10)District: (9.7)Shooter: "In the grand scheme of M.I.A.'s catalog, this song is average at best but it's still a catchy tune and memorable for the right reasons." (7.0)JTD: (9.5)TOTAL: 70.6 | AVERAGE: 8.83Next...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} CHARMANDER!Missy Elliott feat. Ludacris - "Gossip Folks"Sambalada: "This song really shows off Missy's personality. It captures her brand of ratchet hot diva with the comedic value. Production is HAWT and Ludacris is serving a great verse." (8.5)Walt: "I love the energy this song exudes, it’s just so confident and makes me feel like the baddest bitch out here lol. Missy and Luda are both entertaining on the mic here, the little skit at the end really sells the song for me too." (8.8)Gates: "Work It was already bold enough in its attitude, but this song ups the ante even more. Missy is on the attack and never lets up--she pushes the limit of her voice while delivering some of her most incisive rhymes. Ludcaris also steps to the occasion with a fun verse that is fitting thematically. Though this would all be for naught without a that's beat sharp and heated, but still groovy, and a neat nod to an early 80s rap classic in the hook. Fun fact: I can recite Missy's dialogue in the ending skit from memory, lol" (8.3)Mayman: "This one is my least favorite of the Missy songs in this set, but it's still good." (8.1)Hamed: "My FAVORITE from Missy, I love that she actively just makes fun of rumour culture and runs with it in the song with such a catchy sample in the form of Double Dutch Bus. Luda comes in with a killer verse and Missy does her thing and kills it on the song. It's such a fun song and I actively love the music video for this song as well." (10)District: (7.3)Tim: "Missy's creativity knows no bounds and all the different lanes she can take you down across the span of one album is insane. Plus Ludacris is one of my favorite rappers ever so this was a match made in heaven for me!" (10)JTD: (9.3)TOTAL: 70.3 | AVERAGE: 8.79The last person to escape the bottom two is...{Spoiler}{Spoiler} None of you. This is a pre-determined double elimination round.
And the bottom three are...{Spoiler}{Spoiler}
ADRIAN C., VIOLET, & ZACH
Adrian C., this might be your first official bottom two (or 3) but ten rounds in and you haven't your standout moment. Violet, your brand of sending underrated picks has helped you many times but they have also put you near elimination twice before. Zach, you're one of our most consistent players but I'm worried as everyone progressed, you're fading into the background.
Two of you will be eliminated.
