John Legend should not have done “NC2U.”
I’m glad “Controversy” was performed.

I am all for a man with low self esteem removing his clothes and showing off his sexy body but doing so at a Prince tribute is absolutely not the time and place. It is a bit of a reach, but the shirtless blazer look he tried tonight was a choice especially during "Nothing Compares 2 U." Now if it were "Gett Off", "Cream", "Irresistible Bitch", "Hot Thing", or "Do Me, Baby" it would a different story. It doesn't help that the performance wasn't the best either.

Usher had hot moves I thought and he’s the same age as Legend. I was relieved he didn’t miss catching the mic stand with his mid foot when he attempted.
H.E.R. and Miguel were my faves. Beck and St. Vincent were great too.

Mavis Staples, The Time, and Sheila were my favorites in addition to Usher, H.E.R., and St. Vincent.
Juanes and John Legend were my least favorites.

Finally getting around to watching the show now. Good stuff.
They rolled out The Time, Sheila E, The Revolution, Susanna Hoffs & Earth, Wind & Fire - only artist missing was Sinead O'Connor - otherwise perfect show

Juanes was so terrible. St. Vincent...you know even the White people in the audience were like who the hell is this and why is she on stage? Her robotic shtick worked for Controversy though. I liked John Legend even though he showed his tits. H.E.R. was predictably good. I've seen her do Purple Rain live, so I was not surprised at how she handled her songs. Miguel swaggerjacks Prince better performing his own material than Prince's. It was like the spirit of Prince fell upon him and said you will NOT do me justice while performing a tribute to me. Sheila E's epic floor slide was the best thing about this, but it was entertaining.
