www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9370930/the-scotts-kid-cudi-travis-scott-number-one-hot-100What's in a name (in a title)? As "The Scotts," credited to, again, The Scotts, Travis Scott & Kid Cudi, tops the Hot 100, the song is the latest in a select group of leaders whose titles share the names of acts that recorded them. The club now comprises: "The Scotts," The Scotts, Travis Scott & Kid Cudi, 2020 "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," Soulja Boy Tell'em, 2007 "Ice Ice Baby," Vanilla Ice, 1990 "Human," Human League, 1986 "Love's Theme," Love Unlimited Orchestra, 1974 "Hey Paula," Paul and Paula, 1963 "The Chipmunk Song," The Chipmunks with David Seville, 1958-59 Um, Billboard is forgetting a BIG one: The Stars On 45 medley by Stars on 45.
ETA: The original article now included Stars on 45.

Oh... I'm just so so so happy for Travis Scott and Kid Cudi! "Day 'N' Night" is such a great song that deserved #1 in 2009. I agree, Day 'N' Night was a much better song, I wonder what blocked it the weeks it was #3? It's nice however to see a different song at No. 1 and a high turnover rate, and it looks like next week we'll get yet another new No. 1!

Nicki is and has always been one good collab away from that #1 hit. Her break between albums was way too long for Queen and it's getting way too long again for her solo material to be a big contender tho.

YT views: 358 million vs 300 milli (2 versions of DnN) and listening on Spotify right now and whew, BBP is such a bop, I remember my high school years back in 2009, one of my favorite hits from that era..

Never heard of Kid Cudi before "The Scotts" but it is so satisfying to grant him his first #1 after taking so long to do so. Well freaking deserved.

For me it was opposite- I barely knew Day N Nite but Boom Boom Pow was a song my cousins and I jammed out to haha. Then again, we were very obsessed with the Black Eyed Peas so that probably has something to do with it
