I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer so I missed the final three reveals... 13. "Why" Album: Deep Tracks
Who listens to the lyrics of this song (regardless of production) and puts this at #30. I'm just being shady lol. But this song hits me extra close to home because I've almost done what Faith is singing to (as I interpret it) her child about. I stand by my #1 (and yes, this is the song that "Love Will Always Win" wrestled with fiercely for that spot as I relate to that one just as hard).
12. "Love Me to Lie" - this is easily one of my favorites from The Rest of Our Life and I'm glad it managed to make it this far. I would've loved a Top 10 finish, but I can't be upset with the finish here as it had plenty of detractors from the album rankdown. 11. "My Wild Frontier" -- Sorry! I will have you know know that despite my #24 rank, I loved just about every song on this list. If it's in my 30-35 though, those are the only ones I can't deal with. I don't hate armadillos, and I definitely want to visit Kansas one day.
For the most part, I am very satisfied with this Top 10 and I'm hoping that "Break First," "A Man's Home Is His Castle," "What's In It For Me" and "Bed of Roses" do as well as possible.

I’m really happy with half of the top ten being from Cry and Faith...there are some very solid album tracks from both of those albums. I’m not mad about it at all, but very surprised that both A Man’s Home Is His Castle and Bed of Roses are still in. I’m a little more surprised at the latter, Bed of Roses is one of those I thought would be out a long time ago. I have no idea what to expect going forward, but I’m excited to see how it goes!

The Cry album kicks off the top 10, losing one of the big fan favorites in "Stronger". This song is always hard for me to rank, because of that EPIC live version that exists on her hits album that absolutely elevates the intensity to a whole new level and ultimately renders this studio album pretty useless to me... This version has been growing on me since I've been listening to it more for this rankdown, so I feel like I might have underranked it a tad. Still, the live version probably would have been in my top 10 here, lol.

Unfortunately the song at #9 is one that most of you said you wanted to see in the top 5 :( "A Man's Home Is His Castle" is the unlucky victim here, earning a top 15 vote from everybody except for the 3 random people who put it in their bottom 10 This heartbreaking ballad about a woman suffering through spousal abuse has always been one of my favorite songs from Faith's entire career. The lyrics and vocal performance are such a perfect pairing to inflict the maximum amount of heartache possible...

Oh wow I was not expecting “A Man’s Home Is His Castle” to be out this quick into the top ten. I remember this being one of the most talked about tracks from the It Matters To Me album rankdown so I thought for sure it would be a top 5 contender here.

"What's In It For Me" bows out next, eliminating the Breathe album with it!!! I've gotta be honest, I was legit surprised by what a strong top 10 contender this was. I did not think anything from the Breathe album would be universally-loved enough to make it in the top 10 here, with how strong the competition was and how many people seemed to think it was one of the weaker albums in the series. However, no song in this rankdown has grown on me more than this one has Her vocals in this song are absolutely on fire! It has such a unique groovy vibe to it that nothing else from her career can quite emulate.

"Bed Of Roses" has long been one of my favorite album tracks from Faith too, and I was thrilled to see it be a top 10 contender here! Imo, It Matters To Me is one of her strongest albums (other than "Keep Walkin' On"), with all 5 singles being incredible and "A Man's Home Is His Castle" and "Bed Of Roses" being every bit on the same level as them. I always thought they could have been smash hits as well, and the fact that they're here in the top 10 seems to imply that y'all more or less agree with me! Cody Wants Out... loses his #1 here, unfortunately. However, him putting this one at #1 and "Castle" at #8 managed to switch their positions! That should go to show you how close these reveals in the back half of the top 10 were! With this reveal, It Matters To Me is now the 3rd album to be completely eliminated.

I to am surprised how strong of a top ten contender "What's In It For Me" turned out to be, but looking back it did come in as a strong top 5 contender in the album rankdown just behind the four singles. I'm not sure the Breathe album has aged all that well for me and that includes "The Way You Love Me". I think that has more to do with overplay, but still I think I walked away from that album rankdown realizing that era might be my least favorite of hers despite the critical acclaim she received during that time.
Disappointed that "Bed of Roses" couldn't make it into the top 5, but like I had mentioned in an earlier post I wasn't even sure it would be a strong top ten contender. I've always loved this song and remains one of my go-to album tracks from Faith.

That's a strong set of songs in the top 6 and I think I'm most excited to see "This Is Me" have a shot of making it in. I think it'll come down to one of the songs from Faith not making it in...so I'll say "You Give Me Love" even though that finished slightly ahead of "The Hard Way" in the album rankdown.

Alright, here comes our #6.....which tied with our #5!!!!! But missed the top 5 because its highest two ranks are a 2 and a 5...whereas the #5 song had a #2 and a #4

Called it! "You Give Me Love" is a great song and I'm glad to see it do so well, but of the songs remaining it was the one I was hoping would leave before the top 5.

Fan favorite "You Give Me Love" bows out next, just barely missing out on the top 5 due to losing a tie breaker! This song is SO catchy, and I think it would have been a huge hit if it had been released to radio. Would have been nice to see this in the top 5, but then again you can see from the trajectory graph that the top 5 was SO strong and impenetrable that this song kinda got stuck at #6 for most of the submission process.

Coming up next... Our #5 song was a super strong top 5 contender for most of the submission process...and it was even at #2 before Cody Wants Out... tanked it all the way back down to #5 with the final submission

Just like tim , I am thrilled to see this song not only finish in the top 5, but stick around as a consistent top 5 contender for the entire submission process! This song is an ANTHEM!! It has hung on to become one of my most played tracks from Cry ever since the album rankdown. The lyrics are universally relatable, and Faith's vocal is top notch. The arrangement may not be everyone's cup of tea, along with most of the Cry album, but that didn't stop it from receiving universal acclaim from all of us until the final list!

"This Is Me" was one of my favorite rediscoveries from the Cry album rankdown. Looking back I likely underranked this one a bit and should've put it inside my top 10, but I'm thrilled to see it be such a strong contender.

This is Me is SUCH a great song. This has always been a favorite of mine ever since the Cry album came out. I love everything about this song and listen to this one still quite a lot.
I think the Fireflies album is very hit or miss. I Ain’t Gonna Take It Anymore is a highlight on the album. I’m pleasantly surprised that this one finished as high as it did.

"I Ain't Gonna Take It Anymore" is a pretty predictable top 5 finisher, but that is because it heckin' DESERVES it!!! This is an epic, stone-cold country power ballad that I cannot get enough of! The baritone guitar that leads the musical arrangement gives this song a unique and charming identity that helps it to stand out in her career. It is also one of my favorite lyrical moments of her career, with all kinds of incredible zingers like "You've worn the soles of both your shoes walkin' on me like you do", "no way I win when you keep score", etc. Finally, the pristine power behind Faith's vocals never fails to give me chills.
I have no doubt that this song might have been a contender to do even better than this, and maybe even win, if we had managed to get more participants :) It was always SO close to busting into the top 3...
