Roxanne, Heartless and 10,000 Hours went recurrent in the Hot 100. Stupid Love simply dropped out. In spite of what was said in the Hot 100 article yesterday, the Say So remix is the one credited in Radio Songs.

I have a question, maybe a bit unrelated to charts but:
When Drake / Post Malone (or any new artist) finally gets a Diamond album (trust me we will start seeing them in a decade again) released in the streaming era, Should we discredit the artists and their albums from the 60s/70s/80/90s because it was waaaaay easier to earn that achievement then ?

No, no. My point was should we discredit Madonna/The Beatles/Garth Brooks/Mariah Carey/Eagles ... because it was easier to do it back then.
A Diamond album in the past was an album that sold insane amount in first year and second year maybe. A Diamond album going in the future will be an album with insane longevity. Like BB&B is shaping to be or Scorpion, Take Care released 2011 sold (500K+ units in 2019) 8 years after release and is already at 6M+.
Should we discredit the old legendary artists achievements ?

^On the flipside, it has gotten much easier to get diamond singles since older songs didn't sell that much and didn't have streaming. The only song pre-digital era that has managed that is CANDLE IN THE WIND 1997/SOMETHING.YOU LOOK TONIGHT which sold massively for several weeks. The only other ones at 8x platinum are Eye of the Tiger and Bohemian Rhapsody.

The weapon people use against new artists will be used against old artists in the future. Because there are people on this board: old artists = good , new artists = bad.
So a Diamond album is harder to get now than in the 90s, when beerbongs & bentleys/ Views (or any other album) reaches that status, should we discredit for example: Mariah Carey's albums from the 90s because it was easier to do it back then.
The answer is NO.
If you discredit Drake's achievements now vs Madonna, you will need to discredit Madonna's achievements in the future in vs any new artist. Or else you would be a hypocrite.

It's not a matter of discrediting- it's a fact that the digital/streaming era is a far different climate than what was before it, where it's much easier for hot artists of the moment to rack up entries/hits, for various reasons.
Among hot acts of the moment, Drake is racking up the entries like nobody's business. And those are the acts to whom his achievements should be discussed more, and less so acts of yesteryear. At least in terms of singles charts.
On another note- didn't Billboard say Nicki Minaj wouldn't be credited on airplay charts? Yet she is (Beyonce as well, though Billboard didn't mention she wouldn't).
