"Mr. Saturday Night" had a nice personality to it. Jon Pardi is pretty reliable! Hopefully his new album lives up to expectations.

Despite Sunny departing first from this top 5, she was one of only three artists here who was in the top 5 for the entire rankdown! "Easy As Hello" was our first consistent #1 contender. While it could not ultimately remain competitive for the top 3, it still managed to maintain a pretty comfortable grip on the top 5!

Definitely expecting this to be a showdown between Kelsea and Luke Lambert. Can Ty leave next, please?

SHOOTER's suggestion that ended up doing better than his own #1 was "Some Things Have A Name", which proved to be a VERY popular song in this rankdown! Placed in the top 10 by literally everybody except for three people, this put up a hefty 35-point wall up in front of "Easy As Hello"... As strong of a competitor as she was, it was never quite enough to make her do any better than #4! That gives a pretty good sense of how well-liked this top 4 is overall!

In what may be a bit of a surprise to some, the powerful big-name superstar power of Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert bows out at the start of the top 3, leaving the underdog collaboration by former hitmakers Ty Herndon and Terri Clark to face off against Kelsea Ballerini for victory! This song was a hell of a contender, even holding onto the top 2 for a stretch before the final few lists came in and relegated it to #3.
As strong of a contender as this was, however, if anyone has been doing the math since my comment earlier about Sunny having one of THREE songs to hang out in the top 5 for the entire rankdown, you will notice that there are still two songs who haven't fit that criteria... Which means that Ty/Terri and Kelsea both had the distinctive pleasure of never once falling out of the top 5!!

I feel like Terri Clark is suddenly becoming the Lauren Alaina of Canada with all these collaborations she's had lately! (Aside from the fact of course that she has a multi-decade career full of smash hits to fall back on in addition to these collaborations 😂) But seriously, this song slays!!!! Nobody specifically requested it, and I probably wouldn't have given Ty's new album a second glance after last month, but then 🌺CountryLineDancer mentioned "Dents On A Chevy"'s existence in last month's rankdown. I'm such a Terri Clark stan that there was never any question that this song was going to be included the moment I learned it existed! Hopefully its inclusion (and the fact that it ended up doing VERY well!) makes up for the fact that I didn't include either of his requests this month... The chorus may be a little laundry-list-y, but the melody and delivery from both artists is just so engaging that I can't help but get into it In hindsight, I feel like I should have put "Chevy" higher than "Cowboy", but I do still love Kelsea's song as well and am very happy to see it win! Kelsea's new album is one of my most-awaited of the year. I have a feeling she may be well on her way to a Carly-Pearce-style domination of several months of this series. She's already got two now between this one and "HEARTFIRST"!

"Easy As Hello" definitely stuck out like a sore thumb in this top 5 IMO, Sunny's voice remains dreadful and the song is meh. "Some Things Have A Name" was my fav discovery his RD, it is stunning! I could rant but I'll just say it is perfect on every single level. SHOOTER GREAT suggestion "Outrunnin' Your Memory" is phenomenal!! Luke and Miranda is the duet I didn't know I needed lol "LOVE IS A COWBOY" is great, but of the new ones I've heard from Kelsea, it may be my least fav! Def not opposed to it tho and am fine with it winning! bboat11 thanks for hosting and I look forward to next month cuz I suggested some damn good tunes

"Dents On A Chevy" is easily the best thing Ty Herndon has released his entire career, FYI. I was shocked how much I LOVED it.

'Happy with Kelsea winning! She was *almost* my #1, but the LBT song was just such an infectious bop. I can't get enough of that, and like LBTrocks, I don't get how they passed on that in favor of "Hell Yeah," lol.

It seems like a no-brainer choice to have a record called All Summer be the lead single from an album titled Mr. Sun.

"Dents" is such has such a great sound to it, I never tought of Ty and Terri duetting but I really enjoy the way the sound together! Glad to see it do so well!
I want to like the Luke & Miranda song more, but I think I'm just burnt on Luke enough to just not care about his stuff. Miranda sounds amazing on it though.
Very glad Kimberly seems to be well liked among our crowd! Her album was maybe needing a bit more depth overall but it was a really great introduction to her!

10. Yeah the dobro is the strong part of this song. Otherwise it is decent. 9. As a Billboard article says, one of the writers of this song also wrote Weezer's All My Favorite Songs, so both choruses are essentially the same.
8. The guitar riff is surprisingly formless from KU. A Morgan Wallen co-wrote can only get you this far. 7. This reminds me of this Cannons song, especially the chorus. I think a younger voice would sell this better.
6. The pun is okay (Miss her Saturday night), but the melody is just there. 5. Lol the melody is excellent. I thought someone is enjoying minor key songs? Also nice to see this is doing well at Americana radio. 4. Actually listened to the album not long after listening to this song. Solid neo-traditional jam, but not my favorite from the album. You will know it later. 3. Surprised this isn't #2. The chorus is meh and quite repetitive. 2. The chorus could have a better flow, but I know this is the radio fodder that is going to do well here. Also Terri Clark is popular here so not that much surprise in hindsight. If you want some substance check out God or the Gun (TW: Suicide ideation) 1. This is the best pre-release single so far. Theme is a bit typical but good sound.

Wow, "Dents On a Chevy" did great! I must say Ty Herndon is usually not the artist I would seek out, but this song has such a catchy melody that it has been on repeat. And the vocal of Terri was a great addition to this tune. Looks like I lost many of the high ranking songs early in the reveal, but happy about the finale.

I'm sorry it took me so long to get this month's list posted! It was honestly the longest batch of suggestions yet, and took a long time to wade through... But I finally got it narrowed down to a list that I think will make everyone happy. We've got two weeks left, which is objectively plenty of time, so hopefully we don't have to extend this so we can stay on track next month :)
