I wasn't too impressed with this single choice. It may grow on me, but it is an obvious stepdown from, like previous 5 singles...

"Your Heart Or Mine" is just soooo meh. Haha I think Jon Pardi must be building up some good will associated with his name, 'cause this sounds like a bottom 5 contender to me. I definitely don't think I'd skip it, but he is usually quite a bit better than this.

First song I'm bummed about. "Your Heart Or Mine" is a jam! I'd take this any day over that song about being Mr. Saturday.

This majorly overstayed. I don't hate it, but it's just... mediocre. The lead single was much better, and there were stronger single options on Pardi's new record.

I literally can't remember how "Midnight Crisis" goes but clearly I didn't like it, lol. Jordan Davis continues to leave me unimpressed as well. I'm waiting for "Bury Me In Georgia" to be revealed already lol. I can't see that song doing well here at all. It's already done better than I expected, lol.Wow, shocked that this is the first Kane Brown song out. "Thank God" is pretty generic IMO and it is easily one of my least favs on the album, which I do quite like overall. On the bright side, Katelyn and Kane sound quite good together and the music video is cute. Now I really think "Georgia" gotta be one of the next few out lol. We've made it through the bottom 10 ;) You're always so surprised when the rest of us validate your taste, lmao. We don't hate your jams when you happen to land upon a good one!!!

30. I mean it's the album title track and the album is about she reconciling with religion so I get the sound. However, the excessive gospel choir parts are very annoying to listen to. 29. Boring pop song with really flat instrumentals. 28. Boring adult contemporary song with really flat instruments. 27. This is actually a cover of Ray LaMontagne song New York City's Killing Me with some changed words. I'll say Jamey Johnson's vocals are solid ( original material when?) but other parts of the song are dull. 26. At least now that he did the trope of "love songs to wife" with wife feature, maybe he will do significantly less of these types of songs in the future? 24. Actually decently catchy to me, but I feel Morgan Wade's presence to be extremely low. 23. It's just pop rock, and her vocals aren't exactly nice. 22. I think it's the weak puns that sour me. "If you're doing somethin'/You ain't doing nothin' right/If you're doing nothin'/Then you're doing somethin' right" is just dumb and not clever as they may think. 21. That autotune part before the final chorus had me: Plus I hate the melody of chorus.

I enjoyed her debut single, and her other materials are also inoffensive, but I feel like her radio career is not promising going forward. It's a shame as she is pretty talented and very young, but she definitely needs a really strong material to come back.

Time to log in and follow along, heauxs!!! Top 20 has begun!!!!
I feel like this is an unexpectedly horrible rank for Callista Clark! She has been very consistent so far, with "Heartbreak Song" and "Gave It Back Broken" both making the top 5, "It's 'Cause I Am" only narrowly missing out at #7, and "Sad" nearly making the top 10. The latter two both proving that she has the ability to do very well even when the song does not have obvious mass appeal.
"Brave Girl" on the other hand kicks off our top 20. Which feels a bit odd to me, because while it is not my favorite from her by any means, from the moment I heard it I thought this sounded like the kind of song that could potentially be a huge hit for Maren Morris. Maybe its potential is mostly in my head, but I still think this rank is surprising. Callista is capable of better, but this is still pretty good imo.

I'm impressed that the horrendous My Truck guy ended up releasing a jam like this. Still, I don't remember I ranked this one so high... lol
Edit: I just checked my list, but my liking has changed quite a bit since the submission... This would be my #7 or #8 now. Still a jam tho.

I almost put BRELAND's new feature with Ingrid Andress in this month's rankdown, but a couple people convinced me that "For What It's Worth" would be better because it is his actual single, and is also pretty good. So I figured I'd give it a try!! And overall I think this choice worked out pretty well, as if I am not mistaken this is by far BRELAND's best performance in a rankdown! He even made it as high as #10 at one point, but was most consistently stuck at #11. Unfortunately he lost quite a bit of ground due to mine and Kris Kringle's last two ranks being this song's lowest ranks... But honestly, to me this is literally just an average Dan + Shay song. And yet since it's sung by someone who is usually worse than Dan + Shay, everyone thinks it's an artistic achievement

I have been really digging Ashley Cooke's sound so far, so I'm surprised to see myself being the lowest ranker of one of her songs! "back in the saddle" is just kinda forgettable to me, unfortunately. That being said, it's not like #23 is all that terrible of a rank. This one saw a range of only #9 to #23, making it easily one of our least polarizing songs. I included this one because she has done pretty well in this series the last few months, but this is my least favorite from her so far.

Well, Flops isn't here, but it's finally time for "Bury Me In Georgia" to be put in the ground. But it'll be a nice surprise for him that he is not even the highest rank for this song thanks to castleoblivion26's #2 rank! kw9461 also finally loses his last place though, so this was definitely one of our more polarizing songs. I think this one nails the dark vibe, the lyrics, and the fiddle arrangement. It's a home-run in the Southern Gothic style the same way that Blake's "God's Country" and Michael Ray's "Holy Water" were. Probably the worst of those three, but still pretty great imo! Although I can also understand why it is polarizing.

The final song to miss the top half is the latest from Tiera Kennedy. She was actually a top 10 contender for much of the rankdown, making it as high as #5, and only falling out of the top half with our final list.
Personally I think she sounds incredibly disengaged through "Alabama Nights". Her voice is just kinda soft and robotic, with no texture and no emotional connection. Granted, I think that same aspect to her sound may be part of her appeal to some people, and they might walk away with a completely different opinion than me, which I can understand. Maybe I just need to hear more from her before I completely "get" it though.

Look at those very distinct factions of ranks for David Nail! Hahaha half of us had him between #5 and #7, and the other half between #17 and 28!
I have always been a pretty tough sell when it comes to David Nail, but the chorus of "Wherever You Are Tonight" has been stuck in my head since I first ranked it. This is a home run for me, in a really easy-listening kind of way.

I have randomly heard this in a handful of different places lately, which is just so random, and really speaks to how viral it has gone! Like, it was even playing at the Ford dealer while I bought my new car last month I think it is a pretty solid song, although it's got one of those melodies that I think is better for an occasional listen rather than putting it on repeat. Hence it only making it to #19 on my list. Definitely still like it!

"Tennessee Orange" is a grower for me, thanks to Spotify overplaying it for me. I really like it now, and good to see that she may be becoming a new successful female.
However, was I supposed to know what Tennessee Orange refers to? Like I don't give a damn about college football? or equivalent, but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a common sense in the US. Also, she must have fallen in love pretty hard, as man, I used to have a baseball team with orange uniform I hated back home and I would refuse to wear that orange no matter what.

There is something really sassy about "A Special Place" that I just love! I feel like this is the sort of song that Maddie & Tae could have absolutely nailed, which is ironic because it is basically the infinitely-stronger version of their own "Spring Cleaning" in a lot of ways, lmao. Considering it has that Maddie & Tae vibe to it, I was a little surprised that it was coming from Danielle Bradbery, but imo this is a very nice change of pace from her! I wish this could have made the top 10.

Yeah, I should have also mentioned that the college football backdrop in this song also does absolutely nothing for me. It's still a cute story, but like there are people who will love this even more because of its football themes, while to me it takes a teensy bit away from its overall appeal. Especially because they are such regional teams. It's very gimmicky, lol.
