A couple years ago Gravey thought LBT must be his initials or something, so he asked what they stood for, and speculated that his name must be Lukas Ben Thomas or something. So now we use it to make fun of him ;) In addition to "Flops", of course. It's much more subtle. |

There it is!
As hyped as I have been for years now at the thought of a Dixie Chicks reunion, their new material is just so WEIRD so far... I am actually kind of nervous for their album to come out, lol.
"Julianna" was one I thought would be an obvious last place (until Walker Hayes was added by request, lol), but tbh it has grown on me a little bit. It's still not amazing, but I am starting to find it pretty catchy now that I've given it a few more chances.

Oh no I stan taylor as you know and especially Cruel Summer I just don’t like some of his production choices and his 1989 tracks were the weakest ones we got because she was forcing lyrics to his pre-finished tracks. He is overrated but she is good enough to get by without him completely killing her songs. I hope she ditches him like she did Max Martin for her next era though. |

Love Gabby and her album is extremely strong, and "Got Me" sounds like a good choice for Christian radio! But the more I listen to this one... the more I realize I only like the chorus. Not really a fan of the beat and the verses become quite mundane, which is the only reason this is only 15 on my list.

So I have no idea who tf Shane & Shane are, or why they deserved a feature credit on this track, but this song is one of my favorite discoveries of this rankdown, and tbh is the song that really sold me on Gabby as an artist! This song tells me that Gabby can be set apart from other newer female vocalists. With this song she proves that she could be the next Carrie Underwood/Martina McBride. Not so much in theme, as they have rarely done anything that is this blatantly religious, but in vocals. She clearly has the pipes to outsing just about anyone she wanted to, and they are on full display here, and I LOVE that  The arrangement is a bit bland (VERY modern-Christian-song-ish, lol), but that melody is pure power, and becomes goosebump-inducing in Gabby's hands if you are in the right mood. I am very disappointed with how it did here, cause this one has been on repeat for me for pretty much the entire month since it came out... However, Gabby's new album came out last week, so she'll have another chance to redeem herself in next month's rankdown!!!  |
