OK this is wrong! Comments from different users I don't understand what you're responding to. Gary said a person can only stream a song 360 times a day and I was trying to show that if there were no rules, one person could add 150k streams with a bot. No credible streaming platform would allow bots, duh! Facebook on the other hand, if only they were in music streaming they sure know how to inflate video views. Ok my bad. I misinterpreted your comment, I thought you meant an user can stream a song 2.7K+ times and get away with it.

I was attempting to point out given how many times you need to stream in a week, without getting hung up on an actual number- if would be extremely difficult for one person to stream a song enough times in a week to register even one unit, much less enough to get a red flag on Billboard. The discussion unintentionally drifted into getting hung up on numbers which was not my intent since the numbers I was using were just hypothetical examples. I think, a large number of people in a single geographic area all continuous streaming the same song might raise a red flag on an audit

I think, a large number of people in a single geographic area all continuous streaming the same song might raise a red flag on an audit So even if the number of streams might not be high enough to register many units, is it possible these repeated streams could influence the song/video's algorithm? Like, the more people are watching it on YouTube, the more the platform will suggest it to other viewers?

^Not really. YouTube based on what you have seen or are watching and determines what people with similar tastes or interests as you watched to give those suggestions. If you have Netflix, it works in a similarly. BTW, that's the reason why Gooba's video has been suggested 0 times to me in YouTube for now, in spite of its popularity.

Why is Before You Go in the Top 40? 🤢🤢🤢 Ladies and gentlemen, it’s official, Lewis Capaldi is no longer a one hit wonder, and his first hit is STILL in the top 20 after a whole year Go King Lewis <3 !!! So happy for him

It was very entertainment watching how 6ix9ne managed to drag Ariana and Justin down to his level by making them discount the song on its third day and all that promo that lasted till the last minute of the debut tracking week. Also both artists international fans were mad they limited the bundles sales for US only lol

So happy for him I know Lewis Capaldi is not as beloved in the States as he is in the U.K. and Ireland and that's fine. His album was my favourite last year and "Before You Go" is a song that matters, even if most people say it's boring. Those lyrics matter. I'm glad he's made the Top 40 for a second time.
