"Reach Out and Touch" should've been in Top 10! Such a iconic song.

Remember Me was robbed but an iconic top-10 nonetheless.

20. Ease on Down the Road (28): a bit too high school musical to me, especially considering the batch of good songs in this RD. 19. Muscles (23): ha! two MJ back to back. I remember this song and video back in the day. Although I was a kid, this grabbed my attention the song had lots of potential in terms of production buildup and initial melody but the chorus was a letdown, sort of a coitus interruptus. And what was that background story? snakes and muscles? and sex? Hmmm... 18. Surrender (18): I’ve always found this song as an attempt of an ‘Ain’t no mountain’ redo with that old school, melodic, explosive chorus. 17. Swept away (5): second top ten loss :(( I only discovered this recently thanks to Pose, and I loved it. I may have been partially influenced by the series scene and how the song fit... but regardless this sounds ACE. Lush production and rich instrumental with dance, pop and rock elements made this the most cool she’s ever sounded IMO, even more than Take me higher. Having Daryl Hall as background vocalist was just the icing in the cake. This was done dirty here!! 16. It’s my house (19): cool, breezy, smooth tune with a nice 70s vibe.

Reach Out And Touch Somebody's Hand will never not be 'the benediction song at church' for me.

15. Remember me (20): nice Motown sounding tune, with pretty good instrumental and vocals. All the songs in my 15-20 area were very close. 14. One love in my lifetime (21): this is good but a bit too Jackson 5 sounding to make my top 20. 13. Take me higher (14): this was a great dance tune! I wish people and radios had been a bit more accepting to this and other divas’ comebacks in the late 90s, like this, Tina’s When the heartache is over, and Donna’s I will go with you. I liked that this made the top 20 in Casey’s countdown at least. Still sounds good. 12. Pieces of ice (26): I don’t remember this one much... the production and melody start promising, but go nowhere especially with that underwhelming chorus surprised at seeing it this high... Swept Away sweeps this one in terms of 80s pop rock influenced music 11. Reach out and touch (22): I like the message and her emotional vocals, but it’s always sounded too elevator, AC, church type of music to me. Sorry

No reveals tonight, but I wanna pay hommage to an historic performance: Diana's SuperBowl Halftime Show!
Only Miss Ross could have slipped 4 costume changes into a 12-minutes set and end it with a helicopter ride lol #Divashit

We're back with the first portion of the top 10, up through #6!
The first reveal of the night has no perfect rankings, but it will cost a lot of you some high positions.

Two hearts, Two hearts that beat as one Our lives have just begunOne of the most romantic love songs ever written, this has probably a staple at wedding reception for 40 years now. It was originally written by Lionel Richie for the Endless Love movie, and it ended up becoming on of his and Diana's biggest hits ever, reaching #1 on the Hot 100, R&B and Adult Contemporary charts, not to mention worldwide. In 1994 Lionel & Diana's vocally challenged song was properly sung, embellished and re-released by two VOCALISTS: Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey, who brought it to #2 on the Hot 100 and gave it new life. 8. 10. Mirror mirror (9): this was a very well produced track, with mixes of style that worked very well for her. I liked that she was more sonically adventurous with this one. Also worth to mention that Manic’s Michael Sembello was co-writer.
9. Touch me in the morning (7): I’ve always loved this one; how it goes from tender verse to explosive chorus, without feeling disjointed.
8. Endless love (4): this was huge back home, becoming one of the biggest hits of the year and decade, and one of my favorite ballads of the decade, too. I’ve always loved how they sound together and how they transmit the feeling of a tender, shy, romantic first love. Great melody, understated instrumental, and smooth vocals that can be as or more effective than overpowering vocals, this song has remained one of my favorite duets.
7. Missing you (11): another nicely sung ballad by Diana, where she can emote effectively. Strong melody as well.
6. The boss (12): joyous and melodic disco is where she shines the most I think. This is a pretty good example. It could’ve easily been in my top 10.
I have left: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8. Pretty good top 5!!!

That's how a duet ballad is supposed to be sung, with harmonies and actual vocal effort. I love Diana and Lionel is a great artist, but they are not known as vocalists.

A solid Top 5! A bit surprised "Endless Love" didn't make Top 5.
