Where’s this song at on the charts? It is not doing so well, it is 51 on the Billboard chart but it has a negative bullet. Also drops to #48 on the Hot Country Songs Chart, it peaked at #34. Not in the top 50 on mediabase. Yikes I wonder what the deal with this is. Perhaps the label should drop this and send out Thank God. Or every rose needs a Jack both those sound very radio friendly

There’s no need to drop this. Country radio just moves at a glacial pace, so it’s normal for a song from a new (or even established) artist to bounce around in the 40s and 50s for a while before eventually picking up steam.

This song is going to take some time. That's just how country radio works now, sadly.
A reminder that "I Hope" was released in July 2019 and only just hit the top at the end of April 2020. That's 9 months. Give "The Good Ones" time.

I don’t see this Album getting but 3 singles before they move to Album 2. But I also think the album goes Gold.

Also "I Hope" is still getting a lot of airplay so that probably is taking some spins away from this.

Lol, this is moving along just fine considering its been out for like one month and her last single was 1) her debut and 2) is still a huge recurrent hit. There is no reason to be even remotely concerned about this one imo.

Is this any closer to the top 50 on mediabase? The iTunes showing is impressive for such low airplay. Country radio better at least give this a chance

But I bet this don’t even peak till mid 2021. Just seems like a song that will climb so slowly. Hopefully to a Top 5 peak at the very least top 10. This album probably only gets 3 singles before they move on the her sophomore album. I do believe this Album goes Gold at least.

Moves up to #50 on Billboard Airplay chart and moves up to #35 on the Hot Country Songs chart. :) I wonder why that’s not translating onto the mediabase airplay chart?

There has been a fair bit of chatter here from a handful of posters that her album numbers aren't as big as they expected and that this is taking off too slowly, but I agree that it's a vocal minority because she's pretty clearly doing fine if you don't over-analyze everything.

Considering she released a Album during a pandemic. I think Album numbers where lower. But she is doing extremely well despite not being able to make tv appearances and tour. I hope is about as big as before he cheats.

I hope is about as big as before he cheats. Album sales aren't that bad, I've seen worse. Part of the problem is we are in this pandemic. It’s not like she’s able to go actively promote this Album. No tv or touring all she’s got is radio and social media I’m sure promotion is very hard right now. Her sales go to show that one hit doesn’t create an immediate following. You gotta pay your dues and make people buy into you. She’s definitely on the right track and think she could be huge. Yes exactly plus the COVID-19 isn’t helping. Artist can’t tour hardly at all right now. Can a artist make It off streams alone? If she never sales well but always streams well would it be enough for a major label? Another thing I wonder how much COVID-19 played a role in sales I mean she couldn’t really be on the talk shows to promote it like would normally be the case. We get it. The pandemic hurt. You also thought she would sell 100,000 copies the first week. She sold just over 18,000. So making big predictions might not be something you want to do.

Yeah sure I underestimated the pandemic as well as streaming. Streaming is pretty much the bread and butter to music this day in time but as you can see SPS has been picking up. Over 8k units this week. I hope is carrying this Album

Because the Mediabase panel of stations is different than the Billboard panel, and because pop airplay/sales/streaming are tallied when tabulating the Hot Country Songs chart. All charts are not created equal.

Country radio better not ditch her.

Well, the one thing Gabby and Carrie have a like is their fans panicking over how their singles will do on radio.

Fans that originate from American Idol tend to have that (those 2, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery) I’ve never thought about that before but it is true. Probably because the core fanbases cultivated from those shows are used to obsessing over where they place among their competition.

This is actually an interesting concept that I too hadn't thought about but is totally true (and I am a culprit of). I bet this partially has to do with the fact that on Idol/Voice, fans directly impact artists' success on the show through voting. Whereas when it comes to country radio, fans have little impact on radio success outside of requesting songs.

Top 100 on all-genre iTunes so this will also be a hit eventually.

This should make mediabase top 50 this week. If it is there on billboard it’s probably close on mediabase.

On the weekly Country Aircheck (CA) publication, you can find a section named Country Aircheck Activity which includes the next few songs outside the Mediabase Top 50. This week's publication has Gabby at #54 on Mediabase. Here's the summary from CA of the songs outside the Top 50:
#51 BRANTLEY GILBERT/Hard Days (Valory) 2,152 points, 684 spins 6 adds: KAWO, KMDL, KUAD, WGNA, WITL, WYRK #52 J. ALLEN & N. CYRUS/This Is Us (Records/Columbia/Stoney Creek) 2,125 points, 726 spins; no adds #53 JAKE OWEN/Made For You (Big Loud) 1,889 points, 540 spins 1 add: WGGY #54 GABBY BARRETT/The Good Ones (Warner/WAR) 1,758 points, 569 spins 3 adds: KTGX, *KUBL, *WDRQ

This song still didn’t make too 50. What is going on with the country charts. All these songs with no bullets but they aren’t leaving the chart.

The labels will hold onto a song til the very bitter end, and hence why this song is probably going to have a full year chart run more than likely. This song is still very young for 2020 country radio.
