And the more people troll the more I’ll say it You do realize the irony of saying people are trolling (they aren't) when you repeating the same sentiment 6 times comes across as trolling itself right? Trolling? Your calling showing support for Gabby Barrett in a Gabby Barrett thread trolling? I don’t think so

Your calling showing support for Gabby Barrett in a Gabby Barrett thread trolling? I don’t think so Repetitive posting is not usually welcomed and that’s what they’re calling out. They didn’t say you were trolling, but that it almost feels like you are. Take a step back and realize they aren’t attacking Gabby and are just discussing. For anybody who thinks a post should be looked at please report it and the staff will make a decision. No need to go off topic! Now the point has been made if we can get back to talking about the song and it’s performance and not posting habits of other posters that would be swell! 😊

Gabby does have good music, but I listen to artists like her on the rock charts like Pat Benetar or Heart. My belief is that she is not really radio friendly for country. I am not bad mouthing her. I am just stating an opinion on her style.

Well this is up to 39 on mediabase due to recurrents but the spin gains are abysmal. This truly feels like it’s going nowhere. Hoping for a top 30 at this point a la Getting Good...

I do think it will go top 10! just it’s gonna go on 10-12 month chart run to get there. I doubt this album gets more then 3 singles then the lead single for album 2 is out I believe

Yes to Kelsea Ballerini her second single "Dibs" hit #1 back in March of 2016 as for Maren Morris neither her first two singles ("My Church" and "80s Mercedes") peaked at #1 as both peaked around the Top 10. Regardless have some fucking patience for this song. I don't know how many times people have to tell you but 2020 chart runs take a long while.

Well I like that Gabby is a Christian. And appears to live a very conservative lifestyle. I would love gabby to put out a Christian album sometime. With Classics and a few originals. As for other artists I like Ashland craft who people will be hearing a lot more of she signed with big loud records and I’d imagine. At some point she will release a debut single. I also like Buddy brown radio will never play him of course but he is awesome. I like Hardy as well

I don't mean at the political level, 'cause I know all the obvious differences people can have in political beliefs, and I certainly don't want to open that debate again. But in terms of living her life? How does she live her life in a way that makes her behavior noticeably different from somebody who doesn't live a "conservative lifestyle"?

Conservative as in a bit ole fashioned. From a fans perspective she seems to be a Christian with somewhat ole fashion values. I’m not gonna open the political can of worms again but her family and husband does seem to think Gabby should stay home be a mom and a wife. Clean house take care of kids and make sure supper on the table every night. Of course that’s not the case but by quotes from her parents etc. Gabby appears to have been raised very old fashioned with conservative values. I’d love Gabby to write us fans a song about her childhood because I believe she has a story to tell there

I’d love Gabby to write us fans a song about her childhood because I believe she has a story to tell there See, I really find myself struggling with the idea of Christianity being used as an indicator of a conservative lifestyle. People who fall on the left side of the political spectrum are frequently just as devoutly religious. Look at somebody like Carrie Underwood, who is one of the most devout Christians in the popular music industry, but falls on the more liberal side of the spectrum. She is also a devoted mother and wife, who has a huge career but constantly puts her religious lifestyle and raising her family first. On paper, she is basically the same as Gabby in terms of lifestyle. Yet somewhere in there, Gabby has gotten your attention more than anyone else since Kellie Pickler because she leads a unique conservative lifestyle... I feel like I'm missing some kind of link here to make Gabby unique, because the vast majority of country stars are Christian, whether they're liberal or conservative. On top of that, the idea of a tight-knit family unit with both parents involved is also not unique or strictly conservative, because Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Maren Morris, and many many other somewhat left-leaning women also are raising their kids with similar family structures. All of those women are expected to be good mothers who take care of their family, despite having huge careers of their own. Many of them were even raised on farms or in small towns, too. So then what is left that makes Gabby unique from all the other country women? Since Christianity and heteronormative family structures are not unique to her, all that I can think of that remains is the sexist undertones in the way that Gabby's family views her role. So then is the only difference between Gabby's conservative lifestyle and Carrie's liberal lifestyle the fact that the men in Gabby's life view her as somebody who cooks and cleans by obligation, while the men in Carrie's life view her as somebody who cooks and cleans by choice? I'm not trying to come after you, I'm just genuinely trying to understand the logic that you presented regarding why Gabby's lifestyle is worthy of grabbing our attention when on paper she isn't exactly that different from any of the other country star mothers.

I somewhat agree with you. But I enjoy when she posts Bible scriptures almost every Sunday something about that has drew me to appreciate her a bit. Her family just seems old fashioned like old fashioned baptist. But for me personally it wasn’t till June 2019 in Spartanburg sc seeing Gabby in concert I became a fan. I really like her voice it’s a bit different in my opinion. And I love her songs this song included I feel like she wrote it from her heart. I like her for her music and that’s what I’m a fan of. However her Christian faith is just a bonus in my opinion she seems to be a amazing person.

How do you guys feel about Goldmine for the 3rd single, there is no album thread for her so I figured I’d mention it here. I feel she could use and uptempo and I love the song, just not sure if it would resonate.

"Footprints" for third for me as well. The title track isn't one of my faves and I don't see it being a smash for her.

"Footprints" should definitely be next! I also would like to see "Hall of Fame" get released as a single down the road.
Unpopular opinion but I think "Strong" has a gorgeous melody and could do well as a final single.
