It was the soundtrack album to "Dick Tracy". It was released on May 22, 1990. I'm Breathless was commercially successful, peaking at number one on the European Top 100 Albums, as well as the national charts of Australia, Germany, and Japan—in the latter it became the country's best-selling foreign album of the year. It also reached number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). I'm Breathless has sold more than seven million copies worldwide.
"Vogue", the first single from I'm Breathless, became one of Madonna's most successful releases, reaching number one in over 30 countries. It was also critically acclaimed and was seen as an influential song, while the video helped to bring vogueing into mainstream popularity. The second and final single, "Hanky Panky", was a top-ten hit in the United States and the United Kingdom. "Now I'm Following You", the two-part duet with Warren Beatty, was intended to be the third single, but it was finally cancelled.
What are your fave tracks from the album? Besides Vogue, my faves are "Something To Remember" (very relatable), "Hanky Panky", "Sooner or Later", and "Now, I'm Following You".
Vogue: #1 Hot 100, #1 A/C, #1 Dance, #16 R&B
Hanky Panky: #10 Hot 100

I'm an early 90s junkie, and this album is a fave. There are no skips for me, but if I had to skip one, it would be "Cry Baby".
Something To Remember is probably my favorite album track.
Her vocals are so much fun to listen to throughout, and it's entertaining front to back.
I still can't get over how Vogue and this album are 30 years old.

Her weakest album of the first two decades of her career, easily, but I love “Vogue” of course and also “Something to Remember” and “Sooner or Later”
