4th most added song with 30 adds. Solid start especially since her last two singles underperformed.

This fact that this song is traditionally country is going to help it stick out at radio. It's definitely one of her better recent singles. I hope it does well!

Happy to see radio taking to this one well out of the gate. I think this one's gonna get her back to the top of the charts again.

I agree - radio is clearly more excited for this one and its perfect for summer and fall.

Debuts at #57 on Billboard as well - I'm really hoping to see Kelsea back on the top of the chart again and this song might be it!

Just catching up here and think that was a great decision by Kelsea's team. Hole in the Bottle should do great and hopefully reach #1. The Other Girl is a great song but just doesn't work for country radio.

All of her momentum is gone but I’m actually encouraged by the start for this. Healthy bullet this week and it’s up three spots to #52 on Billboard. It’s gonna be a slow climb but I can see this one getting her back into at least the Top 10.

It seems like radio is ready to just forget about her last single and is happy she fed them with this, which is probably the song they wanted all along. Like you, I see this being a return to form for her at country radio. This one just sounds like an easily digestible airplay hit.

Hits the top 50 on today's rolling update on Mediabase - the adds were already looking much better than "the other girl" but this is just more indication that moving onto this song was a good choice.

Yeah, "the other girl" is pretty good but just did not work for country radio. I'm glad to see radio has taken to this so warmly and I hope this is able to hit #1 and that this breathes some more life/momentum into the era!

Officially debuts at #47 on Mediabase tonight with a bullet of 100 spins gained even. Also since debuting back in the Top 50 back on June 24th "Hole In The Bottle" has gained 111 spins and 568k in audience.

I just listened to this one for the first time, and wow! I really like this! I just couldn’t get into homecoming queen, but hole in the bottle is great! I really hope this does well.

It looks like after this the plan is for Half of my Hometown to be the follow-up single. (Which is absolutely the right call.)

It didn’t carry over but above that in the conversation someone said they predict half of my hometown to win a fan poll for favorite song on the new album and she said she hopes so or she has to replan everything. And then that tweet about singles :).
But yes it’s the right choice 100%.

Was hoping for Bragger after this but I get why Half Of My Hometown would get released. About time a female singer had a single out with a famous male singer doing Harmony/backing vocals. The guys always do this, can’t even have a proper duet half the time...
This was a great choice, love The Other Girl but it was a bad single choice. Really do hope Bragger gets a release eventually, or Needy. Sadly she has a history of bad single choices. I’m still bitter that Roses and Get Over Yourself didn’t get the single treatment...

I think this could return her to the top 10 on BB. This is her best single in a while.

I really hope this does well? But it kinda feels like she’s doing damage control with this? The Other Girl and Homecoming Queen just weren’t good singles. Kinda similar to how Miss You More was damage control for the last album. She really needs to get it together when it comes to choosing singles. I’d be fine with them underperforming if they were genuinely the best choices but.... yeah, there was so many better choices.

It seems like she really has been taking risks with her single choices for kind of no reason... Which is interesting because she is a very strategic, calculated person when it comes to that kind of stuff.

"Homecoming Queen?" didn't fully pay off with country radio but it was a ballsy choice for a lead single and I 100% applaud it as a single pick. Despite peaking a bit lower in airplay, I'd say its impact for her career long-term by releasing it was felt more than "Legends" which limped to #1 but wasn't remembered. HQ? sold pretty well for the first half of its chart run and I think it was a needed single for her in terms of bolstering her critical angle and offering something different in her singles catalog. "The Other Girl" was a total misfire as a country single, but I wouldn't put HQ? in that same boat. Something like "Hole in the Bottle" would've surely been a safer pick for radio as a lead-off, but I admire what she tried to do with HQ? because she went with quality. Sometimes it doesn't always pay off, but I'm glad she released it personally. HITB seems to be off to a fine start and doesn't show any signs that the first two singles really did much damage to her momentum. She pretty quickly blew past Maren's current single, for instance, and she was coming off a huge smash.

I know Cry Pretty was not her best shot at country radio but in no way I wish it wasn't picked as the lead single. The Other Girl was a horrible pick but at least she gave up on that very fast.
