Damn Three Little Pigs is still in. Like I said, a fairy tale rock ballad stands out more than all the AC ballad crap on here.
Late but, we weren’t ranking Lea Solonga and Brad Kanes original AWNW. The ballad is fine but just amounts to again, AC.

I don't have much to say about today's reveals other than I'm glad there's another from my bottom 10 gone and "Lately" should've been higher. Not a lot higher but, y'know, higher.

#80.Two Steps Behind - Def Leppard Once again this rank makes no sense. Its a softer pop ballad style for Def Leppard, but you still have the same great musicians responsible for the song. Also this is a perfect lovey dovey dedication song. From anyone like a family member to your significant other to your B.F. Also this is Def Leppard. My favorite U.K. Metal band. so OBVIOUSLY i'm giving this top 10.
#79. I'll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me) - Exposé The song is vocally amazing. The trio had great vocals. I much rather preferred their Freestyle classics, but this was a gorgeous pop ballad. The author of the song Diane Warren had for some reason a knack for writing perfect pop songs , and even more so Pop songs for Movie Soundtracks. From "Ghostbusters" to songs from Aerosmith and even my favorite new Rock Goddess Diamante.
#78. Can't Help Falling In Love - UB40 None can touch the Elvis Presley song. The only song known to man to make me tear up, but this is a hell of a great cover song by UB40. That's all that matters when listeing to the song. Cover songs get a lot of hate in the Rock forums too, but I didn't know cover song hating was a general PULSE vibe until now.
#77. A Whole New World - Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle This was a bit cheesy but very good vocally. Peabo Bryson especially tuned himself perfect with the lyrics. It also had 80's production in the music. A lot like Atlantic Star, and That's always a plus. I didn't know this was form that Aladin travesty. I hate that shit movie.
#76. Rod Stewart - Reason to Believe What did I say? Another great one. And to some point an original one since Rod was the first to cover it. Now I can agree and say it sounded better in the 70's.
#75. Love Is - Vanessa Williams & Brian McKnight This one didn't work for me. Good for the simpler sounding 90's. The melody and vocalsworks were fine, but I think it needed more layers of music to fully win me over.
#74. Sweat (A La La La La Long) - Inner Circle This was totally uneventful for me. The melody was a cheesefest and I don't care for the tropicana vocals vibes.
#73. In The Still Of The Nite (I'll Remember) - Boyz II Men Much better than some of that other stuff they did. I mean its cover, but still captures the original accapella vibe. Funny thing is I didn't even know it was a cover until a few weeks ago while rewatching "The Irishman". I just never put the two songs together.
#72. Good Enough - Bobby Brown This is probably the last time I liked a song by Bobby Brown. Smooth R&B but with a singer I grew up listening since the 80's. A perfect vibe for the babes.
#71 . Lately - Jodeci
This one did very little to interest me. It's a pop piano ballad, but a little Too grown up sounding for my taste.
So looks like Gangsta rap is still ahead of pop ballads. That is quite alarming. ??? There are still some pop ballads left, but I bet not for long.

85. Have I Told You Lately (64): I was a bit more into this type of song back then. It made my personal top 3. It hasn't aged well, though 84. Boom! Shake The Room (74): This was at least fun and catchy, although not much interesting. 83. Alright (89): This was alright. Chorus was much better than verses. 82. One Woman (86): These girls had really good vocals and harmonized very well, but the melody and production of this one was pretty underwhelming. 81. Knockin' Da Boots (66): I didn't care for this one back in '93, but it isn't that bad. The main vocalist was ok, the melody was ok, and the production was smooth. There are a couple much worse R&B slow tempos much worse than this that have yet to appear ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) 80. Two Steps Behind (91): This is one of the worst Def Leppard singles in terms of melody and especially -surprisingly- vocals. Back in the day I was a bit lenient and it peaked at #15 in my personal chart. Sorry for ranking it in my bottom 10, but I couldn't give it a free pass. 79. I'll Never Get Over You (44): :(( I know this sounds much cheesier than in 93, but this still has a pretty good melody and vocals; and that bridge with the sax still sounds great. It was a personal chart-topper and their last song I charted. Far too low in this RD. 78. Can't Help Falling In Love (18): I've never understood the hate toward UB40. They're a fun band playing real instruments and putting new twists to familiar songs. I love the original, but I've also loved this cover since 93. It was a hit back home and a personal chart-topper 77. A Whole New World (53): So it's an anti-ballad rank down I guess? Yes, it's cheesy, but vocals and melody are good enough... 76. Reason To Believe (36): This made the top 5 in my personal chart, and it's my favorite version of this song. I still listen to it once in a while. 75. Love Is (54): I've always thought that the song borrows melodies for the verse and chorus, but I still like it, plus they do a pretty a good job vocally. 74. Sweat (32): Oh! Another example of reggae bashing in this RD ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) This was a big hit back home, a personal chart runner-up, and I still find think it's got a pretty strong fun vibe, melody and instrumental. And it's quite catchy, too, including the silly long-long-li-long-long ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif) 73. In The Still Of The Nite (39): Oh! VERY nice a-cappella vocal that gave it a new twist to the original IMO. It made it to my personal top 5 and I still find it quite pleasant, and it's actually my favorite a-cappella of the early 90s. 72. Good Enough (78): Yeah, this was good enough to escape bottom 20, but not much more than that, as it's kinda samey-samey and vanilla. 71. Lately (77): I just didn't think this improved or gave enough new dimension to the original. Nice vocals though

The Rambo part in Three Little Pigs felt out of place. Otherwise, better than you'd think rock song.
The back and forth flow between the two in I Got a Man made that song worth it.
Not a huge fan of Secada's ballads, but Do You Believe in Us is the better one in this round.

Bed of Roses wasn't a bad song.
It worked better in the trailer of Untamed Heart, but unlike some songs from movies, this held up fine on radio.

I take it some of you have never listened to a cappela though and it shows.
I still get chills when I hear the harmonies of If I Ever Fall in Love. It's so, so good.

What awful reveals. That awful placement for Living on the Edge does not bode well for Cryin. Bed of Roses, Ditty and yes, Three Little Pigs were underranked. Plus my number 100 was too high.

It's always fun when a song that feels "different" from what we normally listen to on the charts becomes popular, but even in most of those scenarios, the songs in question have something familiar to ease us in. "Three Little Pigs" does not have that. There isn't a lot like it in the entire history of rock and roll, let alone in the pop scene. There will never be a song like it on the Hot 100 ever again, a true anomaly. It's the forcefulness of the song that keeps bringing me back, though, particularly driven by the drums, which were played by Danny Carey before the release of Tool's debut album. I love "Three Little Pigs" without any irony whatsoever.
I'm a little annoyed that "Bed of Roses" topped it, but I'm not surprised, either. Even as someone who doesn't hate Bon Jovi and is partial to some of their big hits, 90's Bon Jovi was bad. Bad, bad, bad.
This was one hell of an up and down set. I had my first (counts) three top 40 losses, but that's countered by shedding my last four bottom 20s.

Yikes, this set. I Got A Man seemed like a shoo in for the top 30. No ableism but I'm not sure some of you have ears! Thank you singingrulebritannia , Red , Alex1901 , and others for appreciating the brilliant Green Jelly. I loved that song and video as a kid and I still do. about time Three Little Pigs is out. What a garbage song You're g*rb*ge. It's the forcefulness of the song that keeps bringing me back, though, particularly driven by the drums, which were played by Danny Carey before the release of Tool's debut album. I love "Three Little Pigs" without any irony whatsoever. Speak on it!

Three Little Pigs ain’t bottom 10 material, especially when it’s feel like something special compared to all the garbage on here.
I might took I Got A Man a bit too seriously. Even if the entire song is literally two people bitching at each other

i probably like UB40, Rod Stewart & "Informer" slightly more than i should...but otherwise i'm not sad to see anything from 61-100 gone. And even those aren't a huge loss.
