When was the last time a song fell off from #22 or higher (aside from those going recurrent)?

Now we're in one of those times where Billboard and Mediabase have differences because of the recurrent cutoffs.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Tate McRae has her 2nd top 5 with "Greedy." "You Broke Me First" peaked at #2 in April 2021. It also becomes her first top 10 on the Hot 100 this week.
Because apparently Pop Radio has nothing better to do than play ancient songs in power, Miguel re-enters the top 10 after being #15 2 weeks ago with "Sure Thing."
Taylor Swift scores her 37th top 20 as a lead with "Is It Over Now."
Debuting this week:
Another debut blast this week as Dua Lipa magically appears at #16 with "Houdini." It's her 19th top 40 as a lead and her 13th top 20.
Jack Harlow scores his 4th top 40 as a lead with "Lovin' On Me." "First Class" peaked at #2 in June last year.
Recurrents/Exits:
No recurrents yet again, but thanks to a bunch of old songs refusing to leave "Better Place" crashes out from #22.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
After 7 weeks, Doja Cat is dethroned, and Tate McRae has her first Billboard Top 40 Pop #1 with "Greedy.". "You Broke Me First" reached #1 on Mediabase but only reached #2 on Billboard.
Taylor Swift scores her 22nd top 10 as a lead with "Is It Over Now?"
Debuting this week:
So, who had 51-year-old Jared Leto & his band "Thirty Seconds to Mars[/b] landing a pop hit in 2023 on their Bingo Card? Well, Seasons rolls in at #39 giving them their 4th top 40 hit and their first in 5 years. "Walk on Water" peaked at #31 back in March 2018. This could shape up to be their biggest hit on the format as they have never gotten passed #30.
Tate McRae bookends the chart this week with "Exes" debuting at #40.
Recurrents/Exits:
I don't expect any recurrents next week unless SZA gets a bottom drop.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Did a double shift today so late post. Paul Russell has his first top 5 with "Lil Boo Thang."
Jung Kook has his 3rd top 20 as a lead with "3D."
Debuting this week:
K-Pop boyband P1Harmony score their first top 40 with "Fall in Love Again."
The moment we've been waiting for. After 21 years 77-year-old Cher makes her triumphant return to the pop chart with "DJ Play A Christmas Song." As most of her career pre-dates the Billboard Pop Airpl;ay cahrt (started in 1992) this is only her 4th top 40 hit on this chart. "Song For the Lonely" peaked at #38 back in February 2002!! Her other hits were "Believe" (#2) and "Strong Enough" (#31).
Recurrents/Exits:
SZA does get the bottom drop and goes recurrent this week. All eyes are on Miguel now. Jelly Roll goes recurrent in 2 weeks and Noah Kahan should drop out naturally.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Not surprising due to the holidays 13 of the top 17 are unchanged.
Travis Scott scores his 3rd top 20 with "I Know?". "Goosebumps" peaked at #14 back in May 2021.
Debuting this week:
Japanese born Mitski scores her first top 40 bit with "My Love Mine All Mine."
Georgia's Victoria Monet scores her first top 40 with the R&B crossover hit "On my Mama."
Olivia Rodrigo and Selena Gomez take advantage of yhear-end lists and re-enter at #35 and #39 respectively.
Recurrents/Exits:
The pop chart gets some deodorant as Jelly Roll and Noah Kahan go recurrent this week. (Their music doesn't stink but there have been reports Noah Kahan doesn't shower.) Nothing expected to be purged next week.
