Pop OVERVIEW:
The top half was rather boring this week with no top 5 or top 20 entries. Sabrina Carpenter scores her first top 10 pop hit with "Nonsense." Debuting This Week:
The bottom half sees 5 debuts with Melanie Martinez leading the charge as "Void" enters at #34. It's her 2nd top 40 hit already surpassing her #40 peak of "Pity Party" back in May 2016. SZA enters at #35 with "Snooze," the 3rd single from her album "SOS." It's her 6th top 40 as a lead. K-Poppers Fifty Fifty score their first top 40 hit with "Cupid." Gracie Abrams scores her first top 40 hit with "I Know It Won't Work." Pitbull & Lil Jon collab on "Jumpin" at #40. For Pitbull it's his 22nd top 40 as a lead. "Can't Stop Us Now" peaked at #27 back in August. For Lil Jon it's his 6th as a lead (13th overall including features). "Bend Ova" peaked at #38 back in September 2014. Recurrents: Lady Gaga went recurrent while 4 others dropped out naturally. Same song and dance for next week (on repeat for almost a year) Note: I will be on vacation next week so MitchWolf - ChartStan will make a one week return next week.

"As It Was" is so close to finally exiting. If only Raye had not fallen so quickly.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Correct me if i am wrong, "Sure Thing" by Miguel breaks an all time chart record for the longest span of time between the song's original release date (November, 2010) and the date it reached number one. 12 and a half years!
FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid" has the biggest mover of the week (up 6 from last week from its debut of 36)
Debuting this week:
* Harry Styles with βSatelliteβ [#37] his latest single from βHarryβs Houseβ
* Flo Rida is back with his latest "What A Night" [#39]
Recurrents/Exits:
"I'm Good (Blue)" goes recurrent after 36 weeks (2 weeks at #1) while "Can't Tame Her" (after 11 weeks (PK: #28)) also exits
Now hereβs what i got in the recurrent bubble:
"As It Was" (after 60 weeks (PK: #1)) rises back up one so expect that to stay for its 61st week

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Country star Morgan Wallen has his first top 10 pop hit with "Last Night." Does anyone know who was the last solo male country artist to hit the top 10 here? (Checked it wasn't Sam Hunt)

Miley Cyrus has her 13th top 20 as a lead with "Jaded."
David Guetta has his 11th top 20 as a lead with "Baby Don't Hurt Me." "I'm Good" topped the chart back in January. For Anne-Marie its her 2nd top 20 as a lead. "Friends" with Marshmello peaked at #2 back in August 2018. It's Coi Leray's 2nd top 20 as well.

Does anyone know who was the last solo male country artist to hit the top 10 here? Hmmm, if we're going strictly by this chart's history (which began in 1992), the answer might be...never? (Tim McGraw appeared with Nelly, so doesn't technically count as solo.)

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:Country star Morgan Wallen has his first top 10 pop hit with "Last Night." Does anyone know who was the last solo male country artist to hit the top 10 here? (Checked it wasn't Sam Hunt) Fifty Fifty gets their first top 20 hit with "Cupid." Miley Cyrus has her 13th top 20 as a lead with "Jaded." David Guetta has his 11th top 20 as a lead with "Baby Don't Hurt Me." "I'm Good" topped the chart back in January. For Anne-Marie its her 2nd top 20 as a lead. "Friends" with Marshmello peaked at #2 back in August 2018. It's Coi Leray's 2nd top 20 as well. Post Malone leaps 32-22 with "Mourning" while Kane & Katelyn Brown tumble 18-31. Debuting this week:Dua Lipa blasts into the chart at #17 with the 2nd highest debut of the year with "Dance the Night" from the upcoming "Barbie" film. It's her 18th top 40 as a lead. "Potion" with Calvin Harris peaked at #22 back in July. As for top 20s this is her 12th. "Sweetest Pie" with Megan Thee Stallion peaked at #5 last June. Gracie Abrams gets another crack at the top 40 with "I Know it Won't Work." Recurrents/Exits:Raye goes recurrent this week. Sabrina Carpenter will go recurrent next week with "Nonsense." Speaking on Nonsense, "As it Was" moves back up. The saddest thing about As It Was still being on this chart is that it already exited the Billboard Hot 100.

"As It Was" is, finally, gone. It fell out of the top 10 in February. And took all this time to leave the top 15. "Die For You" is, now, the oldest song on the chart. Never before has a 6 year old song looked so young.

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
After spending a month at #1, Miguel is dethroned by Rema & Selena Gomez who re-take over the top for a 3rd total week.
Taylor Swift gets her 15th top 5 hit as "Karma" moves to #4 and could be a #1 contender. "Lavender Haze" peaked at #5 back in April.
SZA gets her 5th top 20 as a lead with "Snooze." Post Malone gets his 11th top 20 as "Mourning" moves 21-20. Both have songs currently in the top 10 with "Kill Bill" and "Chemical" respectively.
Debuting this week:
Taylor Swift scores her 38th top 40 as a lead with "Cruel Summer", a track from her 2019 album "Lover."
The Weeknd scores his 25th top 40 as a lead with "Popular" a song that features Madonna, giving Madge her 30th appearance (as her material pre-dates this chart) and her first appearance in 8 years. "Living For Love" peaked at #36 back in March 2015.
Illinois native David Kushner scores his first top 40 hit with "Daylight."
Conan Gray lands at #39 with "Never Ending Song" his 5th top 40 hit. "People Watching" peaked at #32 in October 2021.
Florida native Icandy debuts at #40 with her viral "Keep Dat," a song that samples "Boogie Shoes" from KC & the Sunshine Band.
Recurrents/Exits:
Coi Leray and Kane & Katelyn Brown go recurrent. Someone else did as well, but before I reveal it, here's a long-distance dedication from all the chart watchers to "As it Was."

MAINSTREAM TOP 40 OVERVIEW:
Miguel plays musical chairs with Rema and reclaims #1 for a 5th total week.
Dua Lipa scores her 8th top 10 with "Dance the Night" from the upcoming "Barbie" film. "Sweetest Pie" peaked at #5 last Nune.
Pink moves 21-20 with "Trustfall" scoring her 24th top 20 and her first in 6 years. "What About Us" peaked at #10 in November 2017.
Debuting this week:
Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding have the only entry at #40 this week with "Miracle." This is the 3rd song the pair have teamed up on to hit the top 40. "I Need Your Love" peaked at #6 in August 2013 while "Outside" peaked at #8 in March 2015. It's Calvin's 21st top 40 as a lead. "Potion" peaked at #23 last July. For Ellie it's her 13th top 40 as a lead. "Easy Lover" peaked at #29 last September.
Recurrents/Exits:
Conan Gray is a one week wonder as nothing goes recurrent on any of the 3 charts this week. Unless The Weeknd takes a plunge (which is doubtful) there shouldn't be anything recurrent next week.[/quote]
