With Cold Heart going recurrent, I think it's safe to say Ghost will not be returning.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Lewis Capaldi rises 11-9 going 3 for 3 on top 10 hits. His two previous hits "Someone You Loved" and "Before You Go" both reached #1.
Pink rises 12-10 with "Never Gonna Not Dance Again." This is her 19th top 10 on this chart. Her most recent top 10 was "All I Know So Far" which peaked at #8 in July 2021.
Country group Parmalee climbs 22-20 with "Take My Name." This is their 2nd top 20. Their song "Just the Way" with Blanco Brown peaked at #19 in August 2021.
Beyonce's "Cuff It" has the largest move rising 33-24. Harry Styles takes the plunge of the week dropping 24-36 with "Music For a Sushi Restaurant."
Debuting This Week:
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts score their first Hot AC hit with an acoustic version of (I'm Gonna) Run Away. Jett first cracked the Hot 100 back in 1982.
AJR's viral hit "World's Smallest Violin" gets another crack at the chart re-entering at #40.
On the AC:
CHRISTMAS MUSIC has hit the top 10 on the AC charts, i will fully highlight songs on the Holiday recurrent bubble that won't officially go recurrent til Jan 21, 2023.. That means any tune over 20 weeks that exits while Holiday music is in the top 20 is prone of returning on Jan 14th... last year "Blinding Lights" that was clearly a recurrent returned for one more week.. so no fooling this time
Despite recent controversy with Nick Carter, the Backstreet Boys maintain the top spot with their Wham cover of "Last Christmas."
For King & Country's rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear" becomes the Christian band's first top 10 on the AC chart.
A Boy Band Christmas (which comprised of Jeff Timmons, Drew Lachey & Justin Jeffre of 98°, Jamie Jones of All-4-One and Erick-Michael Estrada of O-Town) and The Seqouia Symphony Orchestra with their rendition of "O Holy Night" takes the biggest leap this week soaring 27-14. The Backstreet Boys plunge 20-29 with their original "Christmas in New York."
Holiday Music debuting:
* Joss Stone with her version of "What Christmas Means to Me" [#19]. This is her first appearance on the AC chart. * Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon teams up with Country Queen Dolly Parton on an original "Almost Too Early for Christmas". This is Jimmy Fallon's first AC hit and the 27th AC hit for Dolly.
Now here’s what is shown for those in the Holiday recurrent bubble:
No top 5 entries so "Shivers" [#4 (peaked at #2) after 64 weeks], "Heat Waves" [#5 after 53 weeks] stayed in this week. "I Ain't Worried" drops 17-22 in its 20th week and will go recurrent next week.
Official/Unofficial Recurrents:
* Em Beihold - Numb Little Bug (28 weeks, peaked at #9) should easily re-enter in January * Harry Styles - Late Night Talking (23 weeks, peaked at #11) has a pretty good chance of re-entering unless recurrentitus sets in. * Elton John/Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (PNAU remix) (67 weeks (peaked at #1) has a 97% chance to reenter for one week since it exited late enough * Justin Bieber - Ghost (52 weeks (peaked at #5)) should be done thanks to Cold Heart dropping * Lizzo - About Damn Time (24 weeks (peaked at 13)) done and will not reenter * Kate Bush - Running Up The Hill (A Deal With God) (after 23 weeks (peaked at #9) considered done and it has a 5% chance to reenter

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
The Hot AC chart was mostly uneventful this week. Very little movement overall. Taylor Swift did manage another top 20 hit with "Lavender Haze." This is her 35th top 20 hit.
Debuting This Week:
Japanese born Joji has the only debut at #40 this week with "Die For You." It's his 2nd Hot AC hit following "Glimpse of Us" which peaked at #13 earlier this year.
On the AC:
CHRISTMAS MUSIC has hit the top 10 on the AC charts, i will fully highlight songs on the Holiday recurrent bubble that won't officially go recurrent til Jan 21, 2023.. That means any tune over 20 weeks that exits while Holiday music is in the top 20 is prone of returning on Jan 14th... last year "Blinding Lights" that was clearly a recurrent returned for one more week.. so no fooling this time
Pentatonix returns to the top 10 with a Christmas original "Kid on Christmas", a collaboration with Meghan Trainor. This is Pentatonix's 6th top 10 hit. Their last top 10 was their rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear" which included vocals from Whitney Houston's rendition. It peaked at #9 in 2019.
Sam Smith & Kim Petras debut at #29 with their #1 Hot 100 and pop hit "Unholy." This is Kim's first hit and the 15th for Smith. He last charted with "Love Me More" peaking at #25 back in June. Jax scores her first AC hit with her anti-ode to "Victoria's Secret."
Holiday Music debuting:
87-year old Herb Alpert makes his trumpeting return to the chart with "All I Want For Christmas" at #27. This is his 48th AC hit. His last appearance was with a medley of Carol of the Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas back in 2018, peaking at #20. Throughout his 7-decade career Alpert has landed 22 top 10s on the AC chart, 5 of which went to #1.
Now here’s what is shown for those in the Holiday recurrent bubble:
Taylor Swift kicks Glass Animals out of the top 5 and off the chart. They will most likely return once the Christmas clearout takes place. At 64 weeks and holding at #4, Ed Sheeran appears safe. One Republic is surprisingly safe this week and rebounds 22-19 in their 21st week. The recurrent list has been updated.
Official/Unofficial Recurrents:
* Glass Animals - Heat Waves (53 weeks, peaked at #5) should easily re-enter in January * Em Beihold - Numb Little Bug (28 weeks, peaked at #9) should easily re-enter in January * Harry Styles - Late Night Talking (23 weeks, peaked at #11) has a pretty good chance of re-entering unless recurrentitus sets in. * Elton John/Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (PNAU remix) (67 weeks (peaked at #1) will possibly lose out on re-entering this year to Glass Animals. * Justin Bieber - Ghost (52 weeks (peaked at #5)) done and will not re-enter * Lizzo - About Damn Time (24 weeks (peaked at 13)) done and will not reenter * Kate Bush - Running Up The Hill (A Deal With God) (after 23 weeks (peaked at #9) considered done and it has a 5% chance to reenter

With Jim Brickman failing to chart on AC in 2022 that means his 26-year streak has sadly come to an end.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Hot AC is so boring this week (HOW BORING IS IT?) It's so boring, 14 of the top 22 songs were unchanged. No top 10 or 20 entries this week, and no debuts.
Debuting This Week:
NADA
On the AC:
CHRISTMAS MUSIC has hit the top 10 on the AC charts, i will fully highlight songs on the Holiday recurrent bubble that won't officially go recurrent til Jan 21, 2023.. That means any tune over 20 weeks that exits while Holiday music is in the top 20 is prone of returning on Jan 14th... last year "Blinding Lights" that was clearly a recurrent returned for one more week.. so no fooling this time
With the exception of Ed Sheeran & Sia swapping, the top 10 was unchanged. Christmas songs controlled positions 8-19.
Holiday Music debuting:
Backstreet Boys' short-lived blackout ends with "Christmas in New York" re-entering at #23. Fun Fact: This is an original song intended for Tony Bennett, but he never got around to recording it before his retirement. BSB were given the clear to record it upon hearing it.
Married couple Calabria Foti & trombonist Bob McChesney debut at #28 with "All I Wanna do For Christmas." This is the first credited AC hit for both. McChesney has performed in the studio for other AC centric acts including Michael Bublé, Rod Stewart, Natalie Cole & Barbra Streisand.
Another AC wannabe Elli Moore debuts at #29 with "Snow Angel." This is her first AC hit. Moore is one half of the production duo Lyre and is the current singing voice for Barbie in the respective franchise.
Now here’s what is shown for those in the Holiday recurrent bubble:
OneRepublic for some reason survive another week. With the Christmas clearout beginning next week, they should remain safe.
Official/Unofficial Recurrents:
John's re-entry predictions:
Top 5 There's only 1 spot with 3 contenders. Glass Animals appear to be the front runner to grab the spot and return to the chart. "Cold Heart" has about a 5 percent chance of beating them. "Ghost" less than 1% chance.
There are potentially 3 top 10 additional re-entries. Em Beihold, Harry Styles (LNT), Lizzo and Kate Bush are the other contenders. There is a possibility for all 4 to return, however Em Beihold would have to re-enter in the top 10 to return. The others would have to at least make top 15. 17 Christmas were on the final full 2022 chart this year.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
A little more Hot AC action this week but not by much. 14 of the top 24 songs stayed put and no song moved more than 1 spot in this section. No song moved more than 2 places either way on the entire chart.
Debuting This Week:
The title track from Selena Gomez's documentary debuts at #37. This is her 18th top 40 hit. She peaked at #24 back in May with "Let Somebody Go," her collaboration with Coldplay.
British singer Tom Odell debuts at #40 with "Another Life." This is Tom's first Hot AC hit.
Recurrents/Exits: Steve Lacy slips to #16 this week in his 20th week and should go recurrent next week. Stephen Sanchez is saved after swapping positions with Lacy, but will go recurrent if he falls back below #15.
On the AC:
CHRISTMAS MUSIC EXODUS is upon us! We'll see what gets saved and what stays away as next week we should be back to normal.
Sia leap frogs Harry Styles & Ed Sheeran to have the first post-Christmas #1. It's her 2nd week at #1 overall. After predicting that Glass Animals would return to the chart, Elton John & Dua Lipa get the surprise top 5 spot with "Cold Heart." Em Beihold and Harry Styles get the top 10 re-entries, also giving Harry a new peak position. With 1 Christmas song remaining in the top 10, we'll see if it goes to a riser or 1 more re-entry gets it.
Debuts:
While not eligible for recurrent yet Shania Twain re-enters at #15 this week. Other re-entries from Stephen Sanchez (#24), Sam Smith/Kim Petras (#25) and Lewis Capaldi round up 7 re-entries.
2 legit debuts this week we Meghan Trainor enters at #29 with her viral "Made You Look." This is her 15th AC hit. She currently is at #16 with "Kid on Christmas" with Pentatonix.
Avril Lavigne returns to ACville with "I'm A Mess" at #30 featuring Yungblud. This is Avril's 5th top 30 hit (7th overall AC hit) and her first appearance in over 15 years! Her last appearance was "Keep Holding On" which only reached #30 back in 2007!
Recurrents/Holiday round up
Official/Unofficial Recurrents:
With the Christmas music on its way out, nothing should go recurrent next week, although stranger things have happened.
John's re-entry predictions:
There is a possibility for a maximum of 2 more re-entries from recurrents. At this rate the only candidates would be Lizzo or Kate Bush, but those songs must get into the top 15 and since they dropped out early in the season, their chances are not good, although we did get 1 surprise already.
* Glass Animals - Heat Waves (53 weeks, peaked at #5) Will not return * Em Beihold - Numb Little Bug (28 weeks, peaked at #9) Re-entered 1/7 * Harry Styles - Late Night Talking (23 weeks, peaked at #11) Re-entered 1/7 * Elton John/Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (PNAU remix) (67 weeks (peaked at #1) Re-entered 1/7 * Justin Bieber - Ghost (52 weeks (peaked at #5)) done and will not re-enter * Lizzo - About Damn Time (24 weeks (peaked at 13)) Will most likely not re-enter * Kate Bush - Running Up The Hill (A Deal With God) (after 23 weeks (peaked at #9) Will most likely not re-enter

Glass Animals' Heat Waves goes recurrent this week, but it'll be back. Heat Waves has not come back. Neither has Justin Bieber's Ghost.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
25 songs remained unchanged this week including the entire top 12. No song moved more than 3 spots, which was American Authors rebounding 29-26.
Debuting This Week:
The only entry is an expected re-entry from Joji as "Die for You" spends its 3rd week at #40.
Recurrents/Exits: Steve Lacy survives by regaining his bullet and he could remain on as One Republic and Post Malone/Doja Cat are expected to be removed next week.
On the AC:
Christmas music has ended for this year.
The top of the chart was rather uneventful with the top 7 staying put. Michael Bublé re-enters the top 10 at his old #9 peak in his 20th week. Meghan Trainor soared 29-17 in her 2nd week with "Made You Look."
Debuts: The Christmas clearout resulted in 2 debuts and 6 re-entries. Jon Baptiste/Pentatonix/Diane Warren lead the re-entries at #22. Also January returns from Wyn Starks, Morgan Wallen (who re-enters at a new peak of #25), Lavendine, Goo Goo Dolls and Halsey.
The first actual debut is Steve Lacy's #1 Hot 100 and Pop hit "Bad Habit." It's Lacy's debut appearance on AC. Country group Parmalee rounds off the chart debuting at #30 with their crossover "Take My Name." This is their 2nd Hot AC hit, their collab with Blanco Brown "Just the Way" peaked at #25 in August 2021.
Recurrents/Holiday round up
The last of the Christmas holdouts exited this week.
Official/Unofficial Recurrents:
Recurrent drops are not expected for the next 2 weeks. Since no recurrents re-entered this week, Lizzo and Kate Bush are officially done.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Much more action this week with only 3 songs staying put compared to 26 last week. It's 2 months at the top for Taylor Swift and it looks like Jax's chance to top the chart has dropped as she falls 2-4.
Meghan Trainor moves 11-9 with her viral "Made You Look." This is her 6th top 10 and her first in almost 5 years. She peaked at #10 with "No Excuses" back in April 2018.
The Weeknd leap 23-17 with his "Starboy" track "Die For You," and is the chart's biggest mover. This is his 13th top 20. His last top 20 was "You Right" with Doja Cat which peaked at #12 last April. Dean Lewis returns to the top 20 with "How Do I Say Goodbye," a song dedicated to his father who is battling terminal cancer. This is his 3rd top 20. his last being "Stay Awake" which peaked at #20 in June 2019. Parmalee is a re-entry with "Take My Name."
Debuting This Week:
Enya, Mario Winans & P Diddy Metro Boomin, The Weeknd & 21 Savage debut at #36 with I Don't Wanna Know Creepin. This is the DJ's first top 40 hit.
SZA debuts at #39 with "Nobody Gets Me," her first solo single on the chart and 4th appearance overall. As a lead artist her duet with Justin Timberlake "The Other Side" peaked at #13 in April 2020.
Tom Odell gets another shot with "Another Love" at #37 while AJR re-enters again at #40 with "World's Smallest Violin."
Recurrents/Exits: One Republic, Post Malone/Doja Cat and Steve Lacy are all purged this week. Alec Benjamin at #28 will go recurrent next week but all eyes are on Harry Styles who with just enough push can accompany him to recurrentland.
On the AC:
7 of the top 11 stayed put. There were no top 10 entries.
Debuts: Armenia's Rosa Linn debuts at #27 with her Eurovision hit "Snap." This is her first AC hit.
The Weeknd's 2016 track "Die For You" makes its AC entry this week at #30. It's his 15th AC hit. His last debut was the lone weeker "Out of Time" peaking at #29 last August.
Recurrents
If Nicky Youre can have another solid gain next week, there's a chance "Cold Heart" could be sent away for good.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
After 9 weeks at the top David Guetta and Bebe Rexha dethrone Taylor Swift and their Eiffel 65 sampled "I'm Good" takes over the top. At 55 years old this is David Guetta's first Hot AC #1 (will have to see who the oldest acts are for this chart). This is Bebe's 2nd #1. She topped the chart for 2 weeks alone with Florida-Georgia Line back in April 2018 with "Meant to Be."
Meghan Trainor climbs 6-5 with "Made You Look." This is her 4th top 5 and first in 7 years. She topped the chart for 2 weeks in January 2016 with John Legend on "Like I'm Gonna Lose You."
20-year old Stephen Sanchez scores his first Hot AC top 10 with "Until I Found You." This song was in danger of going recurrent a month ago, but now it appears safe for a bit.
Jvke climbs 21-18 with "Golden Hour," his first top 20.
SZA climbs 30-24 with "Nobody Gets Me," while Rihanna goes the other way dropping 28-33.
Debuting This Week:
SZA gets another Hot AC hit as "Kill Bill" debuts at #37. It's her 5th top 40 and 3rd as a lead.
Tate McRae's top 20 pop hit "Uh Oh" lands at #39. This is her 5th top 40 hit. She peaked at #18 with "She's All I Wanna Be" back in May.
Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown team up on "Thank God" at #40. This is Kane's 4th top 40 and Ketelyn's first. Kane last reached #11 back in November 2020 with "Be Like That."
Recurrents/Exits: Harry Styles goes recurrent on Hot AC before top 40. It's long overdue though. 3 songs are in danger of going next week if they lose their bullets.
On the AC:
The top half of the chart is rather boring although "Anti-Hero" does make it to #3.
Debuts: Jvke has the highest debut at #24 with his piano driven "Golden Hour." It's his first AC hit.
Christian band For King & Country and American Idol champ Jordin Sparks team up on "Love Me Like I Am" at #26. For FK&C this is their 9th AC hit. They reached #8 this Christmas with their rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear." For Jordin this is her 7th AC hit and her first in over a decade. She peaked at #7 back in Christmas 2012 with her rendition of... you guesses it... "Do You Hear What I Hear!"
AC Wannabe McKenna Michels and country group Parmalee both have re-entries at #29 and #30 respectively.
Recurrents/Exits: 3 of last weeks debuts dropped out meaning expect some bottom rotation in the coming weeks. Em Beihold and OneRepublic are in danger of going recurrent next week.
