HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Miley Cyrus dethrones Meghan Trainor after just a week and is the 4th #1 on the chart in the last 4 weeks. This is Miley's first trip to the top of Hot AC land.
Taylor Swift has a pair in the top 10 as "Lavender Haze" moves 11-9. This is her 27th top 10.
Lizzo moves 25-20 with "Special" scoring her 5th top 20. "2 Be Loved" peaked at #15 back in October.
Pink doesn't need "trust" issues soaring 29-37 while Ava Max goes broke dropping 28-36.
Debuting This Week:
Mr. A-Z himself Jason Mraz is back with "I Feel Like Dancing" his 13th top 40 hit (12th as a lead act) and his first in over 4 years. His last hit was "More Than Friends" featuring Meghan Trainor which peaked at #32 back in November 2018. (I actually predicted in the thread this could be a surprise hit and so far he's off to a good start).
Harry Styles' former bandmate Niall Horan is back with "Heaven," his 9th top 40 hit (8th as a lead). His duet with Anne-Marie "Our Song" peaked at #23 back in August 2021.
Fresh off her #1 hit "I'm Good" with David Guetta, Bebe Rexha enters at #38 with a non-Selena Gomez remake "Heart Wants What it Wants." It's her 13th over top 40 hit and 10th as a lead.
Recurrents/Exits:
No recurrents this week and we're in the same boat with Parmalee and Wyn Starks.
On the AC:
15 of the top 20 songs were unchanged.
Debuts: The only actual debut this week is from Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown on "Thank God." Despite country crossover acts usually doing quite well in ACLand, this is the first AC hit for both acts.
Parmalee re-enters again with "Take My Name" at #30.
Recurrents/Exits: I'm putting Shania Twain and Wyn Starks in the danger zone for recurrent next week. Based on current Mediabase data, Shania looks to be the more likely target.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
For the first time in 5 weeks we have a repeat offender at #1. Lady Gaga hits the top 10 with her 2011 song "Bloody Mary." This is her 11th top 10. Her last was "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande peaking at #3 back in August 2020.
The Kid Laroi climbs 21-19 to score his 4th top 20 hit. "Thousand Miles" last peaked at #15. Niall Horan leaps 37-28 with "Heaven" while "I'm a Mess" crashes 15-23.
Debuting This Week:
All 3 debuts come from Hot AC newbies. Coi Leray at #36 with "Players" is also rising on the pop chart. I'll now call her former AC wannabe Ava Della Pierta at #38 with "Happy For You" and Sabrina Carpenter at #39 with her pop hit "Nonsense."
Recurrents/Exits:
Wyn Starks loses his bullet and goes recurrent this week. Since they cracked the top 15 I'm for now removing Parmalee from the danger zone, however Lewis Capaldi will be out either next week or in 2 weeks.
On the AC:
Ed Sheeran Shivers off the chart making way for Nicky Youre to score his first top 5 with "Sunroof."
Meghan Trainor climbs 12-10 with "Made You Look," her 7th top 10 as a lead. Her rendition of "White Christmas" was the Christmas #1 of 2020.
Debuts: Cpt Kirk lead Kirk Covington scores his first solo AC hit with "I Want You to Stay."
Lizzo enters at #28 with "Special," her 6th AC hit. She reached #18 back in December with her rendition of "Someday at Christmas."
Shania Twain gallops back onto the chart at #24 and a new peak with "Giddy Up" while American authors get another shot with "Blind for Love."
Recurrents/Exits: Ed Sheeran and Shania Twain go recurrent this week while Parmalee goes back into the N&A shuffle. Wyn Starks is officially removed from the danger zone, meaning we may not see any recurrents for a bit in AC land. Expect the activity to be on the bottom 10 of the chart for awhile.

Shinedown with the 2nd hit from their latest album "Planet Zero" is "A Symptom of Being Human." This is their 5th top 40 hit. "Daylight" peaked at #31 back in September.

I’m actually digging the ‘little bit’ of diversity on hot ac and ac. Watching Dean Lewis and Parmalee having 20+ week runs to the top 15-10, ForKing and Country slowly gaining into the top 30, some hot ac exclusive singles making it into the top 20 on hot ac, makes me happy. Interested in seeing how Kelsea Ballerini’s single does as well as seeing if Jax and Bebe are going to get significant hot Ac support.
Over on AC, it’s dope seeing artists like Michael Bublé, now Shania Twain and then artists like For King & Country and Wyn Starks (who also had a 20+ week run to nearly top 25 on hot ac and r&b) getting a solid look at *possibly* getting a week in the top 10 after long chart runs. Though the audience is not huge, with LONG chart runs like these, that weekly audience adds up to significant exposure over a long period of time as well as decent recurrent play on the AC formats. You start looking at their Shazam numbers and start realizing these songs are getting heard by a lot of people over time.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Stephen Sanchez has his first top 5 with "Until I Found You" while Metro Boomin has his first top 10 with "Creepin."
SZA has her 3rd top 20 as a lead as "Kill Bill" moves 22-18. Jason Mraz leaps 25-19 to score his 9th top 20 as a lead and is this week's biggest mover. His last top 20 was what was probably several people's graduation song, "Have it All" which peaked at #10 back in July 2018. Kane Brown and wife Katelyn move 21-20. It's Kane's 3rd top 20 and Katelyn's first. "Be Like That" peaked at #11 back in November 2020.
Debuting This Week:
Miley Cyrus has her 15th top 40 as a lead as "River" soars in at #26.
Jax enters at #37 with Victoria's Secret (what is this a Pop deja vu?). It's Jax's 3rd top 40 hit. "Victoria's Secret" peaked at #2 back in December.
Lauren Daigle is back on Hot AC with another Christian crossover, "Thank God I Do." It's her 3rd top 40 hit. "Rescue" peaked at #38 back in October 2019.
Recurrents/Exits:
Sia & Lewis Capaldi both went recurrent this week. American Authors will go recurrent next week.
On the AC:
Taylor Swift dethrones Sia after 12 Christmas interrupted weeks. It's her 8th #1 on the format and her first in almost 5 years. "Delicate" started a 10 week run at the top starting in September 2018.
Shania Twain has a proper AC hit as "Giddy Up" leaps to #10 in only its 4th week on the chart. This is her 8th top 10 and her first in over a decade! Her cover of "White Christmas" with Michael Buble peaked at #10 back in January 2012! Her last non-Christmas top 10 was her #1 smash "Forever and For Always" which began 6 weeks at #1 back in November 2003!!
Debuts: Drew Love, one half of the duo "They" scores his first AC hit with a cover of Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon." The original version peaked at #3 back in February 1984.
The Kid Laroi enters at #28 with "Love Again." It's his 3rd AC hit. "Stay" peaked at #2 back in August.
Pink's "Trustfall" lands her at #30 this week. It's her 21st AC hit. Parmalee gets out of the N&A shuffle again and is back in at #29.
Recurrents/Exits: Rihanna goes recurrent this week, but other than hat it looks to be pretty quiet for a few weeks maybe.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Lady Gaga leaps 6-4 with her 2011 song "Bloody Mary." This is her 5th top 5 hit. "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande peaked at #3 back in August 2020.
In a rarity, Dean Lewis cracks the top 10 with "How Do I Say Goodbye," a song that has no pop support. This is his 2nd top 10 hit. "Be Alright" topped the chart for a week back in March 2019.
Debuting This Week:
Ed Sheeran explodes at #12 with "Eyes Closed." This is his 18th top 20 as a lead and 20th top 40 as a lead. "2 Step" peaked at #11 back in July.
Latto scores her 2nd top 40 hit with "Lottery." "Big Energy" peaked at #6 back in July.
Matchbox Twenty are back after a decade away with "Wild Dogs." This is their 18th top 40 hit. Their last hit was "Our Song" which peaked at #19 back in July 2013!
Ava Della Pierta gets another shot as "Happy For You" re-enters at #37 and gets a new peak.
Recurrents/Exits:
After peaking at #5 just 2 weeks ago, Stephen Sanchez is already recurrent. Pink goes with him. Next week, "Unholy" goes into the danger zone, and unless she drops out naturally, Beyoncé will go recurrent.
On the AC:
"Flowers" goes to #2 but the rest of the top 12 is unchanged.
Debuts:
Ed Sheeran has a big entry at #17 with "Eyes Closed." As a lead this is his 19th AC hit. "Shivers" peaked at #2 back in September and "2 Step" peaked at #28 back in June.
Jason Mraz is back with his Hot AC hit "I Feel Like Dancing." It's his 6th AC hit. His holiday duet with Ingrid Michaelson "Christmas Valentine" peaked at #23 Christmas 2019. His last solo hit was "Have it All" which peaked at #14 back in September 2018.
Pink has another Trust Fall as she re-entes at #29 with a new peak.
Recurrents/Exits: 3 songs go back into the N&A shuffle, although I think it's safe to assume Jvke is done for good. Wyn Starks is in the danger zone and will go next week if he goes below #15 (which is highly likely thanks to Ed Sheeran).

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Not much to report in the top 10. Check the AC section for my report on Miley, except that she moves 21-19 with "River" and scores her 7th top 20 as a lead.
Debuts:
Nickelback is back and has the only debut this week as "Those Days" lands at #39. It's their 17th top 40 hit and their first appearance in over 8 years. Their last hit was "What Are You Waiting For" which peaked at #26 back in November 2014!
Recurrents/Exits:
Beyoncé goes recurrent with "Cuff It." "Unholy" will most likely dip next week and Parmalee could also go if they are bulletless.
On the AC:
With her climb to #1 this week Miley Cyrus joins a very exclusive club. "Flowers" becomes only the 7th song (unless I'm missing any) in the chart's history to simultaneously top the Pop, AC and Hot AC charts. The others are:
Seal - Kiss From A Rose Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men - One Sweet Day Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me Adele - Rolling in the Deep Adele - Hello Adele - Easy On Me
With the exception of the top 2, the rest of the top 15 was unchanged.
Debuts:
Metro Boomin' has the only debut this week with the "I Don't Wanna Know" remade "Creepin'." This is his first AC hit and the 16th appearance for The Weeknd.
Recurrents/Exits: Wyn Starks will go recurrent next week if he is bulletless. Nothing else is in danger.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Dean Lewis makes a remarkable 2023 feature cracking the top 5 on Hot AC despite zero top 40 support. It's his 2nd top 5. "Be Alright" topped for a week in March 2019.
The Jonas Brothers have their 8th top 20 hit with "Waffle House." "Who's In Your Head" peaked at #12 back in November 2021.
Post Malone leaps 25-18 in his 2nd week with "Chemical." It's his 5th top 20. "I Like You" peaked at #8 back in November.
Miley Cyrus sees both worlds (didn't I just do this pun?) as "Jaded" soars 40-26 while "River" tumbles 21-38.
Debuts:
Lewis Capaldi enters at #36 with "Wish You the Best," his 4th top 40. "Forget Me" peaked at #7 back in December.
David Guetta remakes Haddaway's "What is Love" and calls it "Baby Don't Hurt Me" at #40. It's his 9th top 40 as a lead. For Anne-Marie, her last appearance was her Niall Horan duet "Our Song" peaking at #23 in August 2021.
Recurrents/Exits:
Meghan Trainor is almost certain to go recurrent next week.
On the AC:
The top 9 are unchanged.
For King & Country and Jordin Sparks' collab "Love Me Like I Am" becomes a top 10 with no pop support. It's the 2nd top 10 for FK&C and their first non-Christmas one. "Do You Hear What I Hear: peaked at #8 in December. For Jordin this is her 3rd top 10 and her first in over a decade. Her rendition of... wow... "Do You Hear What I Hear" hit #7 Christmas 2012!
Debuts:
The Jonas Brothers score their 9th AC hit with "Waffle House." "Who's In Your Head" peaked at #27 in March 2022. JB get achievements on all 3 of these charts this week despite not debuting on the Hot 100 yet.
Recurrents/Exits: Jax will go recurrent next week unless AC does AC things. Stephen Sanchez is a coin flip at this point.

HOT AC/AC OVERVIEW:
On the Hot AC:
Ed Sheeran leap frogs Dean Lewis and scores his 11th top 5 hit. "Shivers" topped the chart back in February 2022.
SZA and Parmalee score their first top 10 hits with "Kill Bill" and "Take My Name" respectively.
Lots of movememt this week with 4 top 20 entries. Rema & Selena Gomez leap 24-16 with their #1 pop hit "Calm Down." It's the first top 20 for Rema and the 10th as a lead for Selena. "Past Life" her collab with Trevor Daniel peaked at #20 back in September 2020. Miley Cyrus once again has the week's biggest mover as "Jaded" leaps 26-17. It's her 8th top 20 as a lead. "River" peaked at #17 last month. Kelly Clarkson jumps 25-18 with "Mine," her 26th top 20. "I Dare You" peaked at #14 back in June 2020. Finally Meghan Trainor moves 23-19 with "Mother," her 12th top 20 as a lead. "Made You Look" topped the chart for a week back in February.
Debuts:
Taylor Swift lands at #27 with "Karma." As a lead this is her 39th top 40 hit. "Lavender Haze" peaked at #4 last month.
Miguel has his first hit as a lead with "Sure Thing" at #37 and is his first appearance in nearly a decade. He was featured on Mariah Carey's #Beautiful which peaked at #30 back in July 2013.
Country star Luke Combs scores his first Hot AC hit with his cover of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit "Fast Car. The original version pre-dates the Hot AC format.
Recurrents/Exits:
Taylor Swift's "Lavender Haze" collapses and goes out of the top 15 from #9 and into recurrentland. Meghan Trainor looks that way too and is off. The Weeknd should go recurrent next week.
On the AC:
8 of the top 10 stay the same.
Debuts:
Kelly Clarkson is back as "Mine" becomes her 35th AC hit as a lead. Her collaboration with Ariana Grande "Santa Can't You Hear Me" peaked at #11 in December.
Luke Combs debuts on all 3 charts this week. It's his first hit on all 3. His cover of "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. The original version peaked at #7 back in August 1988.
Recurrents/Exits: Jax goes recurrent this week as Stephen Sanchez flips heads and stays on for some reason. Lewis Capaldi should go recurrent next week unless AC does AC things. Harry is just wishful thinking.
