This haunting ballad nets me another perfect rank - we also have another #1 loss and the bottom part of our tie. It is also the highest standard deviation and I have corrected "What Kind of Fool" to reflect that - apparently I lost the ability to read yesterday. Kylie and Nick Cave + The Bad Seeds had a huge global hit (outside of North America) with this in 1995. It tells the story of a man taking Eliza Day's virginity and murdering her so she could be remembered as beautiful for all eternity. Two people lose their bottom ranks with this one. 5. Squeezing just ahead of the tie by 3 points is this complete reconstruction of the final single from 1994's Kylie Minogue. I included it here because it is so different from the original album version that I wanted them to be ranked separately. Three people lose #1s while the final bottom ranking exits here. Back when we were ranking that album, somebody sent be a barf emoji when I mentioned this remix, but clearly their opinion was in the minority given how well this performed here. Since the single cover was used in the KM94 set, I decided to link to the HAWT video instead. 3. Where Is The Feeling? (BIR Dolphin Mix)Points: 94 Std. I will never understand why this remix is so strongly disliked, the musical arrangement is so good - ESPECIALLY when you take in the full-length Brothers In Rhythm Soundtrack. Those 13 and a half minutes are a journey.

One point separates #1 and #2 - it is a nail-biting finish with the two most successful (post-PWL) singles in this entire list. Who takes the cake? I'm going to take my evening walk and leave you all in suspense... | VS. | |

Alright kids, we have one set left! This one will be due in October - and maybe if you're nice we can do the Christmas album as a bonus. (If you're naughty we can still do the Christmas bonus) ;) We have finally made it to Kylie's most recent offerings under her independent deal with BMG. You know the procedure! So please rank the song accordingly - and thank you all for joining me on this long, long journey. 15. Chiggy Wiggy (14): I appreciate the effort and adventure, but I honestly found the melody pretty bad, almost annoying 14. Especially for You (12): I have good memories of this from the 80s, when both were coming from a couple of hits. Itβs cheesy and all, but the type of 80s cheese with enough good melody that I can still dig in limited dosis, and helps it avoid bottom 3 in my list. 13. Celebration (15): This is just unnecessary, redundant, stale. Especially because I had already bought the Kool & The Gang remix CD that included a cool 90s remix version of Celebration. So Kylie offered a similar but worse version than that β91 remix! No thanks! youtu.be/0Gd71uJHJDA12. Made in Heaven (11): Not a bad song at all; pure 80s SAW pop, but sheβs done it in much better and more interesting ways βthat bridge is meh, too. 11. GBI (10): This may be one of Kylieβs most unique, weird, left field tunes, right? And she sells it with sexy and playful vocals. I really like it even if itβs βjustβ my #10. I just liked other songs a bit better. 10. Higher (7): This shouldβve been a hit in the US! She complemented Taio very well and added much better and sexier vocals. The song itself is nice, but I thought Kylie elevated it. 9. What Kind of Fool? (6): (mmm where is my #13?!) Iβve always liked this. The chorus melody is pretty strong IMO and has a sense of urgency that separates it from other SAW-like tunes from her. 8. Crystallize (5): Nooo. This was my favorite discovery in this RD. I love when Kylie does thus type of melancholic dance music. It reminded me of strong songs from X to Aphrodite. This is much better than most of the Kiss Me tracks, so I donβt know what they were smoking when they took it out of the album SMH. 7. Giving You Up (13): Finally! Never cared about this. Neither the melody nor the instrumental were strong to me. It seemed like they forgot about having a chorus 6. New York City (8): This is sooo campy, like it can easily be a single by Alaska, Monique, Blair St Clair, or any other drag queen itβs definitely fun, but the talk singing was a bit cringy. 5. Where The Wild Roses Grow (2): Awwww. My favorite ballad from Kylie, and one of her most unique, mature, haunting songs. Iβve always been enchanted by the melody and production, as well as the perfect vocals from both of them. Wished it were higher than my #9 at leastβ¦ 4. Right Here, Right Now (3): My favorite single from this album. Really captured the disco vibe but made it current. Plus it was really great to see Giorgio back at work and collaborating with another dance diva βwho did a great job vocally! 3. Where is The Feeling? (9): An interesting discovery for me. The production is great, but the melody remains meh, so I couldnβt really rank it in my top 5. My 9-6 were hard to rank though 2. I Believe In You (1): This was the perfect follow up to the Fever era. A bright, melancholic, dance tune with gorgeous melody, dreamy vocals, enchanting production -the pulsating beat and the string-laden bridge- made it a favorite of mine that reached the top of my personal chart. 1. Timebomb (4): Although IBIY was my clear #1, there was a close fight for my #2 among 3 songs. Tb is another song Iβve liked from first listen, and I still enjoy listening.

Will work on this now. It's gonna be the hardest for me to rank simply because I don't like any of the songs on "Golden". Just not my cup of tea. I, however, love "Disco" WAY more!
UPDATE::
Okay, I'm listening to this album again and it doesn't seem so bad like the first time I've heard it. I really thought it was going to be such a drag, but I actually found the songs quite pleasant. I don't know what so different about them this time around.
