I believe this is the first country song to make reference to White Claw, no? Definitely approve of that (and expect many more references to cone).
This seems like a good choice for single though. Very safe but catchy and fits in with current “boyfriend” country theme that is popular. I wonder why it took so long to name this a single though. We’re they testing the waters via streaming/sales to see if it had early indicators of being a big hit?

I know he's no A lister, but kinda surprised this didn't get a radio deal. Didn't both Brett Eldredge and Brett Young get at least mini deals? I feel like he's along the same level as those guys. Or maybe he decided he didn't want the artificial debut, who knows. I'm not really complaining, just more or less surprised how they decide what gets the radio deals and what doesn't.

Writers are HARDY, Ashley Gorley, and Mark Holman. Should have been singled earlier, but still likely a summertime hit.

Ouch this song only got 24 adds on add week and is tied for the third most added song. Definitely lower than what I expected for a lead Cole Swindell single. Would not be shocked if this song outright flopped or at least under performed at country radio

Would not be shocked if this song outright flopped or at least under performed at country radio 31 adds by add date though, it's still low, but early adds are a good thing and shouldn't be discounted in his add week total. By this standard Luke Combs only got 59 on his add week when really he was over 100.

It might be a slow climber but it will not be a flop. I think you will see a steady number of adds. Streams for SSN are extremely strong.

So, I have heard this more than a few times on Sirius and I think we are seeing the end of Cole Swindell.
The song has a really clever hook, but you can tell the producers just mailed it in on this one, and I have to think its because Cole has no vocal range or personality in his voice. There are several artists with limited vocal range (Tim McGraw instantly comes to mind) that are able to get by by displaying personality and heart in their lyrics and the way they vocalize them. Cole does none of that. I have to think he is being phased out.

This song spent a second week on Billboard without a bullet and in general this song has lost 51k the past 3 weeks on the chart. Kind of shocked this is struggling so much since Cole Swindell is a decent name and this song has sold pretty well for it's lack of airplay.

I'm surprised this is floundering around, but knowing country radio and given Cole's track record, this'll probably be a hit in the end even if it takes 40 weeks or more.

I just don't think he has enough personality to stick out from the crowd anymore, there's no momentum like what he had with his first two albums.
I feel like both him and Brett Young are in trouble. Both of their past two albums only got two singles and both took way too long to climb up the charts. And now their new songs are getting paid dust.

There are just so many (read:too many) males at radio right now and most get the benefit of the doubt to climb the charts no matter what they release that eventually a few are going to be let go. Cole Swindell feels like he is at the top of the list for reasons I shared a few weeks ago.
I am not sure about Brett Young, he actually has a unique voice and when he hits it hits HUGE, but he needs a big smash with his next single.

No adds the last two weeks and it’s only on about 75 stations, for an artist his size I would’ve expected more by now so I’m getting to the point of thinking this isn’t going to hit for him. There’s still time for it to turn things around mind you just doesn’t feel like it for me.

Yeah no adds the past 2 weeks, 17 spins lost the past 3 weeks and the past 6 days this song has lost 7 spins and around 70k in audience the week this song needs to rebullet on Billboard. At this point even if this song rebullets on Billboard and stays on the chart, the past 3 weeks have been a clear indicator to me at least that this song is probably not gonna make it much higher.

I have to imagine callout scores have kicked in recently with this song moving up to #24 on Mediabase having the highest bullet in the 21-30 range sans Lady A's new one. I should have figured eventually country radio was gonna grab onto this song. That being said with how long country radio took to convert this, I don't see this advancing Cole's career any and I still feel like country radio is overall phasing him out

I have definitely noticed this get airplay here the last few weeks. Didn't expect it to gain steam but it has.

This is a "safe" song to release to radio which does well on the charts, but isn't memorable. Callouts are good for this which likely helped the song's increase. Do you think the new MMI data is being used similar to callouts to tell PD's what to play? The song's MMI is worse than it's airplay & that could have influenced why it took long to convert the song. I assume PD's are using MMI, but it isn't as important as callouts.

Kind of funny on Mediabase this week that this song enters the Top 20 at #17 gaining 5 spots last week despite having a bullet of 148, which while not bad really shows how much the chart has been let loose the last couple of weeks.
Oh and also expect this song to hit #1 given how well it has taken off since hitting the Top 30. That being said with how long this has taken (43 weeks to enter the Top 20) I still feel like country radio is slowly phasing Cole Swindell out given how long this chart run has taken
