"Three Chords and The Truth" is beautiful... traditional Sara is fantastic. Sad this couldn't have at least made the top 20, but I get it I guess. A bit more unknown

Clearly you should have ranked "Spilled Perfume" a little higher, so you could have been less disappointed in how your highest Pam song did... The shade I continue to receive for this should be considered harassment at this point...mods, enough!

I know we all probably expected it to happen eventually, but now it's official. Sara is out of the running to win this rankdown! We are going to definitely have our first non-Sara BotB winner!
I am sad this song could not do a little better... "Three Chords" is a perfect stone-cold country ballad, with a soaring and powerful vocal from Young Sara. Out of all the songs on her debut album, this is the one that has held up the best and can legitimately stand alongside her biggest and best hits and not look completely out of place, lol.
Now let's see if "Shame About That" can win Revenge of the Best ;)

Oh c’mon what was I thinking with this ranking?! Even though I’m about right on target with it, I just feel like I totally underranked this and should feel ashamed that I couldn’t even be there to show more support for my King. All jokes aside, this is a jam but I just found it a bit hard to rank amongst the other songs and was trying my best not to be a biased fan.

"Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" is such a fun, feel-good jam! Definitely one of the best country songs to come out in 2019 and I think it holds its own in George's huge catalog of songs.

I like Trisha’s “There Goes My Baby” well enough but obviously not as much as the rest of the group. If I’m being honest the song hasn’t aged as well for me and I don’t find I have the same passion for it as I did when it was initially released.

We are at the halfway point. I am stopping now LBTrocks ... Yes, thank you! I feel like I’ve been on Pulse for over 12 hours today and need a break. Plus, I’m pretty sure LBTrocks is already onto his next bottle of Moscato and forgotten about us.

28. "Three Chords And The Truth" - Sara Evans
I am... legitimately confused, lol. I really didn't expect this to continue her winning streak, but not even a top 20 finish for this stone cold country classic? Wow, just wow. Her fanbase has always propped this one up pretty highly despite it not being a hit, so I'm pretty shocked by so many tanks. I guess some of y'all were just tired of her winning... #staymad

Back to main results anyway, The Matador is still a great song and it stands out from this list in a good way. I was hoping it will not be the worst performed "The" song here at least and it looked like that until the final lists come...meh You can always turn on your HAC station to find songs as vanilla as Lady A's. I certainly did not rank The Bones this low in 2019 country rankdown. But against most of the songs in this list which are more pleasant to listen to, this did not stand a chance. Her singing long syllables are the worst. Pleasantly surprised it is the second worst performed "The" song here. It's a Diane Warren song too, and her songs from what I've seen tend to be polarizing on Pulse in general. It's also a reason why I don't like There You'll Be at all. The overdramatic melody can burn out really fast It Ain't My Fault is a really good stomping song and is very instant. The Gambler is such a classic that it is internationally known, maybe on the same level as Country Road and Amarillo by Morning as far as male country songs are concerned. Of course it happens with a reason, and that's the lyrics of life being a gamble. Typical analogy but he claims it easily especially with a ragged vocal, giving it kind of wisdom saying feeling. So even though I am mild on his other materials (such as that Ruby song in disassociative's country rankdown), I still find this song great. The River And The Highway is a great song about a man and woman who are incompatible but whose lives intertwine. Melody is also the best I have heard from her. I thought Three Chords And The Truth would be higher too. Maybe becuase it is not poppy enough?

And I also forgot how the song goes both times I've listened to it

I happen to like almost every single song on this list so it may seem like I'm being a bit harsh with this song but I do like it a lot. I struggled with my ranks a lot and in the end this one just fell to the bottom due to me being less familiar with it overall, whereas a lot of these songs are ones I have a lot of nostalgia for.

The next song deserving an honorable mention is Tim McGraw's "Everywhere", a Pulse favorite that has done well in several rankdowns before! This song had previously finished at #2 in the 1997 Country rankdown, which means it was used in our first RotB rankdown and was therefore ineligible here. However, it joined the list of rankdown winners for the first time a few weeks ago when it won the Everywhere album rankdown, so this post is officially welcoming it to the list of rankdown winners!
Bonus: "Everywhere" - Tim McGraw
Finished at #1 in the: Tim McGraw: Everywhere album rankdown (Host: ClevelandRox)

I have nooooo idea why THIS song managed to end up being so polarizing.... It's not nearly as belty or pop-leaning as her songs that have usually been tanked in these things. I figured if any of her songs could have tried to be a top 10 contender here, it would have been this one :'(

More or less the same for me except my ranking has more to do with replay value than anything else. "Three Chords and the Truth" is a stone cold country song, but nonetheless I just never really ever have a desire to revisit it.

I have never been a huge Clay Walker fan, mostly because I just haven't been exposed to him as much as some other '90s males through the years...but "If I Could Make A Livin'" is one of the catchiest songs by any male country artist in any decade!!! This song has such an infectious melody that has stayed with me for literally my entire life, and I never get tired of hearing it. I was thrilled it managed to win Clay's artist rankdown, and hoped it might stand a chance of being an unexpected top 10 contender kinda like Mark Chesnutt was in the last BotB/RotB set. For the first half of submissions it looked like it had a chance, but all the lower ranks came in the second half and pretty much tanked it almost completely out of the top half :'(
