It was actually a bit of a relief that this song turned out to be exactly the same as I remembered it being. I thought this would be significantly worse on a re-listen. Instead, it's as mediocre as it has always been.

This was better than I was expecting. It's up there with "When It All Goes Wrong Again" as one of the better Everclear songs I've heard.

The biggest issue with "Mini Maggit" is the song that it spawned from. "Pink Maggit" is one of the best songs Deftones ever made, devastating in its power. "Mini Maggit" is just another nu-metal song. Granted, it's just another nu-metal song being performed by Deftones, but the point stands.
Having said that, when you separate it from the knowledge that this is a far, far, FAR inferior version of a Deftones classic, it's...not that bad. I'm not even sure if it's one of the worst songs in their discog. I mean, "Pink Cellphone" exists, for one.

I just have little use for Iggy post-"The Passenger". I think this is off of his most well-received album since that point, and I still just couldn't get into it at all.
Looking back, though...yeah, I probably shouldn't have ranked this below FOB.

Definitely not the Goldfinger I'm accustomed to, but it wasn't a bad new sound for them. I think they acquitted themselves well.

Once again, I expected worse. This time, I'm not really sure why, because, at worst, Finger Eleven have just been average. I've never heard a Finger Eleven song that is downright bad.
I'm sure someone will prove me wrong soon.

It still floors me that Good Charlotte had this era. After years and years of sucking, they were...actually good? And it wasn't just "The River", "Dance Floor Anthem" was surprisingly good as a dance rock song.
It went to shit again after that, but, for a fleeting moment, Benji and Joel look like they had finally turned the corner.

It's not the original, but I will say that it's a better cover than I would have expected.

Here’s The Explosion! This kind of surprises me that it finishes this high and even was in the Top 10 for a bit. I loved this song when it was out at the beginning of my college years, but now just seems like generic early-mid 00’s pop-punk to me. I still like it nevertheless.
Congrats to rowellfarm490 for clearing your Bottom 10.

Ah, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 memories.
Probaly should have ranked this higher for nostalgia alone, but I did have a lot of good first listens or re-discoveries, too.

Fuel should have put on some sunblock because they have some major sunburn after this reveal.
Congrats to myself and Daryl the Beryl for clearing your Bottom 10.

Before I say goodnight to everyone, I have to plug the other rankdown that I'm currently hosting, my 2020 Q2 Rankdown! It's due next Friday, so if you're interested, feel free to send in a list ;)
I'll also put some midway stats up in a bit. Thanks for following along, everyone!

I was pretty impressed as to what I was hearing compared to the typical Fuel songs, and to be honest this list didn't give me much to work with 🤷
Dashboard and The Donnas need to leave.

I felt bad for ranking this one low, but I have very little use for Fuel these days outside of one or two songs, and, despite the fact that this was back when they were generally decent, I just can't get into it the same way I do "Shimmer".
