I really wanted to like this one when it came out and I suppose I can appreciate the positive sentiment but this one is just bad in my opinion. Three people placed it last but it also received four top 10 placements. ClevelandRox, you have unfortunately lost your second top 10 placement.

Four people ranked this one in their top 10 and three people ranked it in their bottom three. Personally, I am not surprised to see this one go early. Something odd I realized about this song that I had known but forgot about is that even though it peaked at #2 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, it was actually the #1 song of the year back in 2015. Also, everyone’s bottom ranked song has been eliminated.

Apart from “Drinking Class” which I enjoy, I’m happy with the results so far. Also scored four p-p-perfect rankings

This one is such a jam in my opinion and has even grown on me since I ranked it. This is moving up the charts really fast for a country song in 2020 and has made it all the way up to #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 which is super impressive. In terms of how we ranked “One Of Them Girls”, the tune earns two top 5 placements and is the second song in a row to be in somebody’s top two. This song didn’t land any bottom three placements.

The next song was #1 on the rankdown at one point in time.......... ............ Attachment Deleted“But it's a long, long way from Myrtle Beach to L.A. Nobody ranked this tune in their bottom three. I really enjoy this song and wish it had become a bigger hit, it is a really pretty song in my opinion. I am glad this is the highest of all of Lee’s non-hits! We are down to the top 7 and 6 of the songs were #1 hits. Anyone want to predict the two tunes that miss our top 5?

I'm guess Hard to Love and Woman Like You are the two to miss I can tell you that the next two tunes have the exact same point value and one of the songs you guessed is a part of that tie. I will decide the tie by putting the song with more #1 rankings higher.

This tune was #1 for ethanhunt and three others (including me) had this at #2. With nearly half of the participants placing “Love Like Crazy” in their top 5, it would be easy to assume this would land a top 5 placement altogether. That is however, not the case! Two participants ranked this in their bottom 3 which certainly does some damage to its overall score.

We have made it to the TOP 5 of the Lee Brice Rankdown. I will do the top 5 reveal tomorrow or Friday! What do you think the order of the remaining 5 tunes will be?
TOP 5 (in no particular order)

"One of Them Girls" grew on me after submitting for this RD too, I might bump it up a couple spots if I were to redo my list now.
Predictions: 1. I Hope You're Happy Now 2. I Drive Your Truck 3. Hard To Love 4. Rumor 5. I Don't Dance

the fact that the trash that is "Rumor" is higher than "Love Like Crazy" is a just wrong. I hate that song and hope it is out at #5
I do love the other four songs so I'm happy to see them in the top 5 and would actually be happy with any of them winning, just not "Rumor" please!!!!

I got a bit behind with the reveals, so going to do a bit of catching up: It was pretty much a given that “Upper Middle Class White Trash” would leave first, but as bad as that song is I’ve always quite disliked “Drinking Class” more so that ended up in last place on my list. I find both to be a lyrical dumpster fire hence why they made for an easy bottom two. “Parking Lot Party” was another easy choice to leave early as more than not it’s universally disliked here on Pulse. I would never go out of my way to listen to this song but I would put it in the category of a somewhat guilty pleasure from Lee’s discography. Considering both “She Ain’t Right” and “Beautiful Every Time” were two of his earlier top 30 hits, I’m not surprised that they weren’t able to make the top ten. As I said from the outset, Lee has never been an artist I listen to much if at all so I had to spend a bit more time with some of his earlier material. That said, I did find both of these songs quite enjoyable. I wasn’t sure at first how I felt about “One Of Them Girls” as there’s some aspects of the lyrics that I kinda shrug at, but overall it really grew on me the more I listened to it. I might’ve been a bit overzealous in placing this in my top five, but this is one catchy tune that got stuck in my head. I also have to say that Lee sounds great on this. the fact that the trash that is "Rumor" is higher than "Love Like Crazy" is a just wrong. I hate that song and hope it is out at #5 I’m the opposite here as I think “Love Like Crazy” is the worse of the two lol. Stylistically speaking the song just doesn’t click with me as I don’t much care for the tempo and the way in which it’s sung (especially when Lee belts out "Love Like CRAAAAAAAZY"). And just to swing back around to my top ranking song “Boy”…this is more of a sentimental favorite much in the same vein that George Strait’s “The Best Day” means to me as it always makes me think of my late father and all of the what might have beens.

Oh wow, this started! I've really been out of the loop! I'll try to share more thoughts later, but I will add myself to the group who is disappointed to see "Love Like Crazy" miss the top 5. I can totally understand why folks might find it to be annoying, but it is one of those songs that has really grown on me through the years to the point where I absolutely love it now despite not really caring about it back when it was on the radio. "Rumor" on the other hand is a huge blemish on this otherwise perfect top 5. Although tbh I somehow completely skipped over the "Boy" reveal, and I just about had a heart attack thinking that "Rumor" and "Boy" made up 40% of the top 5... That would have been an absolute tragedy!!! What we ended up getting isn't nearly as bad as that, so I'm fine! I'm expecting "I Hope You're Happy Now" to take this, based on what I know about Pulse Now I'm just praying that "Hard To Love" can come out ahead of "I Drive Your Truck" to finish in the top 2.....

"A Woman Like You", "Love Like Crazy" and this tune ended up being only 3 points away from each other. This ended up being a really big hit for Lee last year and even reached the top 25 on the Hot 100. Up next, two people will lose their #1...

Good riddance. "Rumor" puts up the appearance of being a pretty good song at first, but I was literally tired of hearing it on the radio after only like the second or third time I heard it on the radio. The whole thing is the definition of plodding along. Extremely high burn rate for me! It didn't help that it was coming on the heels of "Boy", which is also an extremely plodding song, although at least that one has touching lyrics.
I was always shocked by how much everyone built this song up, acting like it was the best thing Lee had ever done.

This song is a cheap knock off of Bonnie Raitts "Something to Talk About"

It is such a pretty sounding song in my opinion and I am one to sometimes groan at love songs. In terms of rankings, over half of the participants put this in their top 5 which kept this either in the top 5 or just outside of it throughout the entire submission process. I am super glad that in the end it landed inside the top 5. Now we are down to just three tunes left. Part of me wants to figure a hint to give but I don’t want to give something too easy...

Before we get to our top 3, I wanted to share this song I love that Lee Brice wrote. Many of you probably know the version of the song Garth Brooks recorded that debuted at #1 on country radio back in 2007. I love both Lee's and Garth's rendition of the song but I listen to Lee's a lot more (mainly because it is actually on Apple Music) but still!
Billy Montana and Kyle Jacobs wrote this song with Lee.

People really like Hard to Love enough for the top 3? This is like asking Kelly Clarkson fans if they actually like "Since U Been Gone". Edit: I mean, obviously not from a quality standpoint. But it totally is his most immediately recognizable song, lol. It's bound to have a few fans.

Oh wow, I was rooting for a top 2 finish for "I Hope You're Happy Now"! I know collaborations always have a hard time in artist rankdowns, especially when the song belongs to the other artist, but I kinda thought it might be immune to that just because Carly is much more popular than Lee on Pulse. Still, a #3 finish ain't too shabby! Especially because this is a song that will still have multiple opportunities to finish in the top 2, including both the 2020 year-end rankdown and an eventual album rankdown for Carly's second album! Edit: The reveal disappeared.....
