This was a career changing song for Scotty. He released this song independently. The overwhelming support for this song was strong enough that he was signed to a new label. "Church Bells" is one of her all-time best uptempo hits, for sure. I agree that it's a travesty that such an intricate story song got relegated to having a music video based entirely on tour footage.

I can't believe I missed the reveals of the last list.  I just noticed this over the weekend but haven't had time to properly comment on stuff. - OMGG LOL the first four entires all being Why Don't We songs. Ouch poor guys. But at least the Logan Paul song came in last, which is fair. Daniel was pretty terrible on Idol but he's gotten much better with his band, at least. - Shocked that Chris Lane was.... one of the bad auditions on Idol back in S7? I had no idea he did Idol back then. - Ugh "Falling" by Trent got ROBBED at #17. But that always happens with this song here. :'( I love this song and it's one of my favorite Idol winning songs, especially of recent seasons. - Aww "I'll Find You" by Tori Kelly & Lecrae deserved better too. :( - Fine with the rankings of the Lauren Daigle songs. - Fine with "Fix" being the higher ranked Chris Lane song. Though I can't remember if he had other ones here, lol. - A little surprised that "It's Quiet Uptown" didn't make the Top 10 but #11 is still good for this. Sad I couldn't put it in my Top 10. - Aww now I'm sad to see "Love So Soft" only come in 10th here. It's not one of my ultimate favorites from Kelly but I still really like it a lot and hope for it make it higher. - lmaooo not my #22 ranking of "Five More Minutes" making it all the way to #9, lmao oops. Not a Scotty fan at all but I get his appeal and why he's so popular. Nice song but just doesn't do much for me. Just happy it didn't rank higher but boo at this beating LSS. - Oh right, I forgot about "Take Back Home Girl" being here. Def my favorite from Chris Lane + the inclusion of Tori Kelly helps me like this more. - Lol I was going to be sad about this ranking of "The Champion" at #7 but then I realized I ranked this at #6 so not too far off... and yeah I'm not upset at this ranking. Fun and enjoyable Carrie song. - Nice that two Lauren Alaina songs are back to back. I like them both but wish "Getting Good" was higher. - #4 is a very good and respectable spot for "Dirty Laundry." It's kinda funny seeing two #2 and two #10 rankings for this and then my lone #7 rank lol. I wish I had it at #6 so I could have been evenly between those ranks haha. - "Road Less Traveled" is my favorite from Lauren Alaina so yay for this making it to the Top 3. Great song and glad it was a big hit for her too. - Aww I love "The Fighter" and am sad this was so close to taking the win. :( Darn but #2 is still a great finish. This is a great and fun song from Keith & Carrie. - Ooh and "Church Bells" was my #2, but there's no denying this is a great song and worthy winner for this round. Congrats to the three that got their #1 to win here too. Nicee that everyone ranked this in their Top 5. I agree with the comments that it's a shame this song never got a proper music video as I imagine the video would have been really strong and powerful. ETA: I listened to the songs over the weekend, ranked them and now submitted my list! |

#21 - The Christmas Song - Lauren Daigle: Ooh I don't think I expected this to be last but with my ranking of this song at #20, I'm totally fine with this showing up.
#20 - Hooked - Why Don't We: Ooh okay now I was expecting one of the many Why Don't We songs to come in last so it's nice that they were able to avoid last place this time. This isn't one of my favorites from them as it was my #18 but it was nice enough.
#19 - Talk - Why Don't We: Aww this song coming in the Bottom 3 despite none of us rankers putting it down there. I liked this song more as this was my #15. Just hoping my favorite WDW song ranks the highest of their songs as I know it's coming pretty soon lol.
#18 - If We Never Met - John K: Oooh lol I actually remember Johnny Keyser on Idol and remember he had a bit of a career with this song. He's talented and got a good voice. So I'm kinda surprised his career didn't take off more as it could have. Anyway, I did really like this as I ranked this at #12 so wish it could have been higher. But I'm not surprised with this ranking.
#17 - Trust Fund Baby - Why Don't We: Aww dangg, well there goes my favorite Why Don't We song, as I ranked this at #4. I knew it wouldn't rank that well here. I can't remember how many songs they have here but I was hoping for this to be their highest ranked song. I don't think it is as I think they had some other songs? But this is a really fun, catchy and guilty pleasure kind of song that I do admit that I loved from them.
#16 - What Am I - Why Don't We: I remember and kinda liked this song from WDW. It' a really nice and pretty ballad though I prefer another ballad of theirs. With me ranking this at #17, it's not my favorite from them and wish it swapped with "Trust Fund Baby" but oh well. Dangg dee12 is killing it with all of these perfect ranks! :o
