I've never been able to get into Fantasia, here voice is a bit painful sometimes. She can sound incredible at other times but neither of these songs were good. Glad they are out quickly

Man, Fanny got done dirty af!  That said, this era of her music -- at least from a single standpoint -- remains her weakest imo, so I can't say I'm terribly surprised. |

I love Elliot, but this was just boring. Like indulge said, that was Fantasia's weakest album--at least to me. I mean, I'm not crazy about her debut either, but at least that had the Idol songs she's famous for + the fantastic "Truth Is."

I didn't see the first season, when Kelly won. Jordin's was the first season I'd watched where my favorite of the season won (incidentally, it's only happened one other time in all these years, with Maddie Poppe). Her Idol coronation was only a couple of weeks before my high school graduation, and so I've always thought of this song as my personal graduation song. I remember I'd recorded the finale and re-watched her singing at the end again when I came home from the ceremony. <3
