This is solid, but it's pretty much a rehash of "Seasons (Waiting on You)".

This band tears me apart. I like the 80's vibe of the music, but i just can't get into this singer's unique vocals

Definitely not reinventing the wheel with this one, but that’s okay. They have a formula that works and they are sticking with it. Sometimes more bands should take this approach.

Ditto to everyone else's statement. It's what I expected for the most part, but still sounds so good. I love the 80's synthpop/new wave influences. Hope to hear other new songs too soon.

Like fellow Beggars Group artists The xx and Spoon, Future Islands have charted decently on alt, so I'd like a top 50 appearance there at least even though it's (I think) only sent to AAA thus far. A lot of the indie stuff on AAA craps on some of the stuff on Alt, anyway.

This is my first go-around with Future Islands. This was pretty decent, definitely more in line with my preferences for poppier music on the format. The singer's vocals are pretty unique, and sound vaguely Scottish to me (though they're apparently from Baltimore?).
Anyway, this sounds like a band whose back catalog I need to sift through.

I don't think I've ever cared about a Future Islands song before. This is no exception.
