New song out next Friday. You can hear Chris talk about and play it a little after 6:00 in Facebook Live video.

The singles are one upping each other, but I haven't been too into anything he's released. None of these songs are better than Push Rewind. Hoping that changes soon because I know he's said he's releasing a lot of songs now.

I like this one, but I wonder why Matt Rad isn't producing with him these days – upon first listen, I feel like some of the production elements sound a bit canned and are missing some of the level of polish that his earlier material did.

I absolutely loved Push Rewind, but none of these new songs are even coming close to the worst songs on that record (really, just "Do It All Again", which was just fine). I thought "Insecurities" was just not really good, while these other three have been fine. I definitely chalk it up to the lack of production value on these songs – they all feel so amateur. He's shown he can be a good producer in the past ("Fred Astaire" by: Jukebox the Ghost for example), but there seems to just be a huge disconnect between the melodies, lyrics, and the production on his solo stuff. The songs are pretty catchy, but they're not sticking like they should, which I think the production is the glaring issue here.
