This feels way more exciting than the rollout of Lover. It was time for a major change. I'm finally getting an album full of Safe & Sound's which is my favorite song of hers. This is exactly what I wanted from Taylor. I'm glad she finally saw the light and decided to give us a calm album. I'm shook to my very core.

I woke up and was scrolling through Instagram and saw that she's releasing a new album tonight! I am shocked lol. Looking forward to how this will sound.

Whew! The way this is going to be her best album. Bon fucking Iver! This will be the album I've always knew she was capable of delivering. Queen!

I honestly can’t tell if I will hate or love an album full of safe and sound’s. I love safe and sound. But a whole album of that style? I just don’t know! I am confident in Taylor’s ability to make it engaging though. She hasn’t put out anything since 1989 that I haven’t become obsessed with.

I'm not looking forward to an indie album, since I wasn't a fan of Red... "Safe & Sound" would be the vibe I'd want in that case. But I admit I would've preferred her to go back to country or put out another pop album like 1989 / Lover (or just release "Cruel Summer" dammit...). The best part of this is her giving the finger to that nutjob Kanye West.
I'm actually kind of glad she's re-recording some of her old stuff. I'd be interested to hear what "Love Story" in particular will sound like with new vocals. Not that she's become a great singer or anything, just better than she was.

Nelly Furtado's impact! 👑
Despite sharing the same name, this one looks like it will be a straight up folk record though. It would be fun if she came out with something more experimental like Nelly's.

I truly hope she abandoned those stale Max Martin productions for good. 1989 was great, but that was once in a career type of album. Reputation and Lover disappointed me a lot (although the latter wasn't produced by him).
Now, folklore will be the serve of the century, I can feel it in my bones. I'm so excited.

I'm very excited for this.Anything new Taylor Swift is great. Nice to see going the folk pop song route and it looks like it is gonna be different producers from what I saw on Twitter. Best news since The City Of Lover Concert back in May.

She can release 16 versions of the CD and vinyl and Gaga can’t even give us a proper gatefold version of Chromatica.
This is awesome! I can’t wait to listen on my run tomorrow morning.

On a more serious note, I'm really intrigued about Aaron Dessner's involvement in the majority of the tracks - I'm happy that she got to work with him since she loves The National. It's not just Aaron Dessner but practically everyone from The National (other band members, touring band members, producer, etc) so band's influence on the sound should be significant. I think this will be closer to Treacherous than Safe & Sound, but more piano driven than guitar driven.

I feel like folk music usually means songs are longer (could be making that up) but I hope that's the case. Average track length for The National's last album was 3:56 vs 3:23 for Lover. So I'm guessing they'll average at at least 3:30 but we'll see.

Just dropping in to say that this is an absolutely fantastic album beginning to end. One of Taylor's best. Country music fans will be very happy with Betty. I'll leave everything else as a surprise. But what a beautifully written and produced album.

So I'm listening to Lover right now in anticipation for tonight and I noticed that the Spotify Canvas gifs have all changed to what looks to be Folklore promo shots. I haven't checked if they changed for the rest of her discography yet like they did for when "ME!" was released.

Red is my favorite album from her so if it's like the more lowkey moments on that and S&S, I'm all in.

Eight different vinyls, eight different album covers. All the vinyls are different colors. All priced the same. She's such a damn good businesswoman. *breaks down in I-don't-know-which-vinyl-to-buy*

"in the trees" and "meet me behind the mall" editions look the best imo, "running like water" and "clandestine meetings" editions coming in second. I'll decide if I'm getting it after I hear it, but very excited!

I prefer the deluxe covers to the main one but I don't know which one I'll choose for the cover art on my music player app.
