Eight different vinyls, eight different album covers. All the vinyls are different colors. All priced the same. She's such a damn good businesswoman. *breaks down in I-don't-know-which-vinyl-to-buy* Bought both “in the weeds” and “running like water” bc those vinyl colors are just too scrumptious.

I set my alarm for 8:30AM (the album comes out at 7AM where I live). Can’t wait to wake up, only read a couple of comments and then just dive into the album.

I'm going, "which version should I buy?" Pay for your wedding or spend $30 on Taylor Swift? I think I'm gonna talk myself into the "Running Like Water" version at some point within the week.

It's probably not gonna have the normal pop production for her, but more of an acoustic sound, with heavy piano + instruments. Yeah according to those who worked on the album/those who have heard it there is piano, strings, guitar, and harmonica in the album among others. So, it isn't strictly guitar as some out there are thinking. I LOVE the sound of a "singer-songwriter" album. Ugh. I am so excited. I don't even care about commercial success this go around (as this type of album isn't really as geared toward that, as it is to artistic expression). Taylor and her voice ALWAYS shine more with stripped down production and this album is surely going to highlight her strengths (both vocally and as a lyricist). Can't wait. I think regardless of how commercial this album is, Taylor will do really well with it. She has a huge core fan base and people that are curious to see what she brings this time around. Excited to see what she comes up with!

This is literally the exact type of music/collaborators/aesthetic I have been dreaming for her to come through with for years, I can't believe it's actually happening? Maybe this is some sort of covid induced fever dream, poor me.

Are the vinyl colors for each version the ones shown in the photos? My eyes went right to the "In the Weeds" edition because I LOVED the color, but then the fine print with the asterisk says "actual vinyl color may vary". I didn't know if that meant it was random or just that it might not look exactly how depicted in the photo? What do you all think? I need to hear others' thoughts lol

I love The Civil Wars but I didn't care for Safe & Sound. I preferred Eyes Open, honestly. As for her collaborators, Bon Iver and The National are both bands that I have really tried to get into, album after album, year after year, and...just not really my cup of tea. The lead singer of The National has such a droning voice and the only time I am really in the mood for any of their albums is if I am riding a train in a rainstorm. Bon Iver is just a little too glitchy for me, but because it's Taylor, I'm still onboard. I'm sure it will be a lovely listen.

I'm not even a big fan of her music, but can't wait to hear it. I really hope it's something like Safe and Sound, that song is fantastic.

The only difference in the albums is the cover and vinyl colors, I gather? takers some diehards to snap all those up. :)

I'm totally here for 16 Treacherouses, Begin Agains, Everything Has Changed, and New Year's Days but with only strings (?)
I'm excited tbh.

I'm curious to see how much the album will be guitar driven vs piano driven. The National's involvement on this album seems about as significant as Max Martin Studios' involvement on 1989 and Jack Antonoff's involvement on Lover and a lot of their songs are pretty piano driven. Taylor has generally been more comfortable on the guitar but I think she's been playing and songwriting with piano more in the last few years.

I’ve emailed her customer service to see if as a Canadian, I will be shunned from the biggest music moment of 2020. This is how we’re treated for responsibly handling covid? Let us know! I ordered the vinyl but I want the digital download!

She's been answering questions on her Youtube premiere. She really said "sad, beautiful, tragic." That's what we're getting. We're getting her magnum opus. This is a MOMENT!

Sad Beautiful Tragic is one of her worst songs, in my opinion. But I will hold out hope that she’s just using the adjectives and not the comparison to the song.

I love "Sad Beautiful Tragic." Wouldn't bother me at all if the album was a similar mood/vibe to that song.

I think this was about Cardigan? I saw the lyrical snippet and the "indelible mark" comment leads me to believe so.
