It's funny. As much as I loved Somebody and played it out, Hold On didn't even make me think of that song at all, but I guess I get it. The Marvin Gaye Estate has these labels SHOOK! Got em scared, shook, panicking

What's the difference between interpolating and sampling?

What's the difference between interpolating and sampling? Sampling involves taking pieces of the actual recording and adding them to a new song. Interpolation is when you create something new for the song that’s meant to sound like the song you’re referencing.

He is so gonna get away with that MLK interlude, isn't he? Nah...depending on how tone-deaf it is, stan Twitter is definitely going to be jumping down his throat, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few think-pieces come out of it. We'll have to wait and see, I guess, but while it might not affect the GP's opinion of him, it's bound to get some attention.

French electronic duo Justice has officially issued a cease-and-desist for Justin, due to him jacking their cross logo, which affects the album and merch. A mess.

Its funny how they are sending C&D just before the album release and imo looks like JBs team did take some inspo but still its different enough to distinguish and lmao no way you can trademark fully a common alphabetical name, its funny when adults act like kids.

They should've known better. Justice is a well-known band and they've been using this mark for years. Although I feel like the campaign of his album will not be negatively impacted by this.

Yeah, I love Justice (well, their debut album, anyway), but most of Justin's fans don't care about Justice and will still support his album and his music. I am really excited for this album. It feels mysterious to me, but I guess so did Changes, because all we had was Yummy in advance. I just wanna hear what it sounds like and I keep looking for info, but it's a desert.

I know it's a hot topic right now but damn, it's kinda sad that the only attention the album is getting right now is the lawsuit.

I’ll need to come back to Deserve You, Somebody, and Hold On. I think he can keep the rest on first listen.

I'm so pleased with this album!
While Changes had like 3 songs I enjoyed, this is SO much better, on par with Purpose (nothing has touched Believe for me)
Believe Purpose/Justice My World(s) Changes
Can't wait to hear the exclusive/international tracks!

There is a really sweet 1-2-3 punch in here with "Die for You," "Hold On," and "Somebody." "Deserve You" is also very good. The rest ranges from "no thanks" to "meh." Well, except for the MLK interlude. That gets a "WTF" from me. Dude really named his album Justice, stuck an excerpt for MLK on there, and proceeded to fill the album with 15 tracks with your regular every day pop lyrics and messages. Why?

Where would you rank "Journals"? It's sad how this album was so criminally slept on - being Bieber's first project to not spawn any hits whatsoever.

The 5 punches in a row of Die For You, Hold On, Somebody, Ghost, and Peaches..... this is far better than Changes (and I liked that album if not for Yummy)

Getting some of the best reviews of his career, with critics (so far), calling this a comeback and career best. Can't fucking wait to go to Target later!

I'm intrigued. I was rooting for him to get back on track after "Changes", and while "Holy" was underwhelming, I really enjoyed his other singles this era, especially "Lonely" (yes) and "Hold On".
Very clever move from his team to start working on a new album so quickly. Had he waited longer, it could have been an irreversible scenario like with "Witness" and "Man Of The Woods". Good for him!

I just got "Justice" off of Itunes and I like what I hear so far! I'm a fan of his so maybe I'm bias but this can stand up next to his best work. It has more of a pop feel than Changes" did. Personally I like this better. I only got 6 tracks from "Changes". Favorites so far are "Deserve You", "As I Am" ft Khalid, "Off My Face" which is an acoustic guitar ballad. It's very pretty. Though it doesn't sound just like it but something reminds me of "Love Yourself". "Die For You" which has that 80's influence that's popular in "pop" now. "Love You Different" is an uptempo track that has a little "What Do You Mean" feel to it. From the 4 singles released so far I would put "Hold On" and possibly "Lonely" as favorite side as well. I don't hate anything from it and pretty much liked the whole thing. If it was back in the day when I used to listen to full cd's more I would probably only skip a couple of tracks? I only care if there's good songs on cd's and wasn't looking for a social justice release or anything. I'm not sure if that's what he was supposed to be going for? but I'm really liking these songs so far. The MLK Interlude is strangely placed but in my opinion the rest of the cd is just regular good Pop music with some urban influences.
